Kate Beckinsale In Marchesa - United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Presents '2014 Los Angeles Dinner What You Do Matters'

Kate Beckinsale attended the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum presents ‘2014 Los Angeles Dinner: What You Do Matters’ event held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Thursday (March 6) in Beverly Hills, California.

The British actress, who looked stunning at the Vanity Fair party on Sunday, opted to wear a Marchesa Fall 2013 dress.
Her pink strapless duchess-satin cocktail dress featuring a draped bodice with red floral embroidery and a bustle-back train accent isn’t my favourite.

The train is bothersome. I feel the dress would’ve looked much better – and less fussy – without it.

A red Rauwolf clutch to complement the floral embroidery, nude pumps, a diamond ear cuff and a wavy updo completed her look.

Yay or nay on the train?

Kate Beckinsale In Elie Saab Couture - Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2014

Kate Beckinsale joined a host of A-listers on the red carpet of the 2014 Vanity Fair Oscars Party on Sunday (March 2) in West Hollywood, California.

The eternally well-dressed star hardly ever fails to disappoint and here she dazzled in an Elie Saab Spring 2003 Couture bronze sleeveless sequin gown with high split and cut out back detail from the archives.

The luxurious tone of the sequins suited Kate’s complexion perfectly, and made her look like she was glowing.

While the high split and cut-out detailing are quite daring, Kate pulls these off with ease and her soft, sophisticated make-up and elegant bouncy waves add a hint of old-Hollywood glamour.

Kate’s on-trend pair of gold strappy sandals and matching box clutch tied the look together perfectly, and kept it light and sparkling.

Kate Beckinsale In Christian Dior – 7th Annual Hollywood Domino And Bovet 1822 Gala

Kate Beckinsale In Christian Dior - 7th Annual Hollywood Domino And Bovet 1822 Gala

Kate Beckinsale attended the 7th Annual Hollywood Domino and Bovet 1822 Gala at Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood last night (February 27).

The actress showed off her amazing figure in an elegantly cut Dior Fall 2013 cobalt silk bustier and a navy blue denim wool skirt.

Figure-hugging show-stoppers are a tried and tested winning formula for Kate and once again she hasn’t disappointed.

I think it’s refreshing to see Kate try out different proportions and opt against a floor-length gown. Here it has really paid off and the cut of the bustier combined with the peplum skirt give Kate an amazing silhouette.

Silver mirror Brian Atwood ‘Besame’ pumps added an unexpected modern twist and Joan Hornig earrings provided an elegant finishing touch.

Kate Beckinsale In Rubin Singer - Warner Music Group's Annual Grammys Celebration

Kate Beckinsale attended Warner Music Group’s annual Grammy celebration at the Sunset Tower Hotel on Sunday (January 26) in West Hollywood, California.

Sporting her favoured wavy ponytail, the British actress got into the party spirit wearing a Rubin Singer black-and-red floral strapless mini dress styled with black sandals, a Ferragamo clutch and Broken English earrings.

As a lover of fairytale gowns, we don’t often get to see Kate’s legs. I think this may just be the shortest-length frock she’s ever worn on the red carpet, and she wears it very well.

Nail Trend Spotting: 2014 Golden Globes Moody Darks

Nail Trend Spotting 2014 Golden Globes Moody Darks

Dark polishes made their appearance during the 2014 Golden Globe Awards. And with manicures getting more and more coverage (hello, mani cams), nails are becoming a trend all on their own.

Taylor Schilling donned Essie’s Berry Naughty, a beautiful oxblood shade. Celebrity manicurist, Beth Fricke, wanted a color that would look gorgeous against her dark, kelly-green gown.

Celebrity manicurist Christina Aviles decided on a deep red to stand out against Jessica Chastain’s dark dress. Essie’s Poor Li’l Rich Girl was the perfect shade to complement.

Michelle Saunders, celebrity manicurist for Kate Beckinsale, went with what she thought was a bold choice for the red carpet. “But she pulled it off flawlessly,” says Michelle. The colour?

Essie’s Licorice, which gave off the effect of patent leather–the perfect addition to her metallic gown.

Have you been sporting the dark nail trend? If not, you’ve still a few weeks left before lights and pastels start making their rounds for spring.
