Kate Beckinsale In Alberta Ferretti - 'Star Trek Into Darkness' LA Premiere

Working the best footwear on the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in LA for the ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ premiere last night was Kate Beckinsale.

Sadly, this was the most memorable thing about her look, considering her Alberta Ferretti Pre-Fall 2013 black strapless dress with an asymmetrical hem doesn’t provide much of a talking point other than that it is very similar in style to her Met Gala dress by the same designer.

Irit jewels and a updo completed her look.

Kate Beckinsale took to the red carpet Monday night to support the Metropolitan Museum of Art at its annual Met Gala in New York.

The actress wore a pink frock from Alberta Ferretti with an Edie Parker clutch.

Wearing pink, the unofficial colour of the evening, Kate looked fantastic in a strapless, asymetrical, high-low dress.

Kate added punk accents via strappy shoes, and statement gold and silver geometric earrings and a matching ring.

And of course, we can’t forget her sexy meets sophisticated meets undone slept-in-my-makeup smokey eye that paired so well with her volume-injected mohwak.

Kate Beckinsale In Parker - 2013 TCM Classic Film Festival Opening Night Gala

Kate Beckinsale attended the ‘Funny Girl’ screening during the 2013 TCM Classic Film Festival Opening Night at TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles, California wearing a very different look than we are used to seeing from her.

The queen of all things pretty and uber feminine stepped far out of her comfort zone, opting for a sharp Parker suit on this occasion, much to my surprise.

This is something I would expect to see worn by Karolina Kurkova or Solange Knowles, but I think Kate pulls off the look featuring avant-garde lapels, a black solid back and optical print – which adds a futuristic edge – rather nicely.

Styling the suit with a solid top was the best option, as was the simple accessories, which included sky-high Louboutins and a black Me Char clutch.

A bouffant bun and statement earrings provided the finishing touches.

Yay or nay?

Who Wore Gucci Better

For the Golden Globes InStyle After-Party, British actress Kate Beckinsale chose a Gucci Spring 2013 gown in a pretty pink colour over the saffron runway version.

Her ruffled column gown was styled with gold accessories, with her brunette locks swept up into an effortless bun.

Two weeks later, Bipasha Basu attended the 2013 Stardust Awards in Mumbai wearing the same dress in the runway hue, sadly over-accessorizing with an opulent necklace.

Four days later, the same gown hit the red carpet in Sydney, Australia courtesy of Gracie Otto. She opted for the minimalist route, simply adding a Gucci ‘Aristographic’ clutch from the same Spring 2013 collection.

Kate wins for me as I adore the gown in pink and her styling of this look; however, if I could ever afford this gown I would select the saffron hue.

Kate Beckinsale In Monique Lhuillier - 2013 Vanity Fair Party Kate Beckinsale practically exploded onto the scene with her glittery gown at the the 2013 Vanity Fair Party, hosted at the Sunset Tower in West Hollywood.

Like some other Oscars after-party favourites, including Naomie Harris and Ginnifer Goodwin, Kate stunned in Monique Lhuillier—except her confection was fresh off its Fall 2013 runway debut at New York Fashion Week.

The designer’s collection was red-carpet worthy, so I’m glad the British actress gave this embellished tulle piece some time in the spotlight.

The deco-like embroidery reminded me of a fireworks grand finale, while the above-the-ankle length was a delightful change from the flock of floor-grazing gowns seen on Sunday night.

Kate let her dress have all the sparkle, only accessorizing with small Chopard diamond studs and a simple pair of black ankle-strap heels.

A youthful high ponytail finished this look with a fun flourish.
