Kasia Smutniak In Valentino - ‘Everest’ Venice Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony

Kasia Smutniak was also among the stars at the attended the ‘Everest’ premiere which was part of the opening ceremony of the 2015 Venice Film Festival on Wednesday (September 2) in Venice, Italy.

The Valentino devotee had no change in designer affections here as she donned a gown from the Fall 2015 collection.

The first thought that springs to mind upon seeing this look is just how artistically it was conceptualized—from the layered pieces of bronzed-laced flutter panels to the sculptural neckline.

It’s not necessarily an easy silhouette to portray, but she does so with the utmost sophistication and grace.

Giorgio Armani’s 40th Anniversary Celebration

Giorgio Armani's 40th Anniversary Celebration

A glorious guest list attended Giorgio Armani’s 40th Anniversary Silos Opening and Cocktail Reception on Thursday (April 30) in Milan, Italy. With Armani ensembles at every turn, sleekness and chicness were the order of the day.

Cate Blanchett: The queen again reigned supreme in this stunning Armani Privé Spring 2015 cream suit architecturally punctuated by a black obi-style sash. Radiantly luminous makeup and a softly swept-back ’do projected even more beauty on top of elegance here.

Chris Pine: I loved the sense of ease that characterized Chris’s polished Giorgio Armani gray suit with lavender shirt and dark tie. That he appears to be wearing his loafers sans socks only contributes to the effortlessly handsome look on this occasion.

Hilary Swank: Her sculptural, asymmetric Armani Privé Fall 2014 cocktail dress was a work of art with red floral embroidery and netted overlay for a ladylike yet bold statement.

Kasia Smutniak In Valentino – Cinema Italian Style 2013 – ‘The Great Beauty’ Opening Night Premiere

Kasia Smutniak In Valentino - Cinema Italian Style 2013 -'The Great Beauty'

Kasia Smutniak took her impeccable style to Hollywood as she attended the Cinema Italian Style 2013 ‘The Great Beauty’ opening-night premiere held at the Egyptian Theatre in California yesterday evening.

Being the great Valentino brand ambassador that she is, the actress wore a beautiful cap-sleeved sheer chiffon Valentino Resort 2014 gown featuring a high round neck, flutter sleeves, an A-line waist and intricate floral embroidery and beaded embellishment throughout in a neon-yellow hue.

I must admit I thought this was Keira Knightley when I first saw this picture; like Keira, Kasia and Valentino are a match made in fashion heaven.

Pink lips, a simple silver bracelet and a centre-parted bun completed her look.

Who Wore Valentino Better…Kasia Smutniak or Dianna Agron?

Who Wore Valentino Better Kasia Smutniak or Dianna Agron

Kasia Smutniak attended the Rome photocall for her movie ‘Benvenuto Presidente’ back in March wearing a dainty black Valentino Spring 2013 frock featuring a nude lace bib, which she styled with black pumps and gold bracelets.

Two months later, ‘Glee’s Dianna Agron wore the same dress in runway white, styling her look with Valentino accessories including snakeskin pumps and a gold clutch.

I really love both looks, but on this occasion I am going to give the win to Kasia, as I love her quiet elegance and simpler styling.

Kasia Smutniak In Alberta Ferretti – ‘In Treatment’ Rome Premiere

Kasia Smutniak In Alberta Ferretti - 'In Treatment' Rome Premiere

I almost didn’t recognise Kasia Smutniak on the red carpet at the Teatro Capranica where she attended the ‘In Treatment’ Rome premiere in Italy yesterday evening.

That’s mostly because she wasn’t wearing Valentino.

On this occasion, she wore an Alberta Ferretti Fall 2013 dress, our first look at this collection on the red carpet.

While this black-and-white lace dress isn’t to my personal taste, I find something quite appealing about the simplicity of the look.

She looks so serene and beautiful that, if anything, she enhances the gown, when we expect the opposite.

A selection of rings, a pale-pink lip colour and a centre-parted bun completed her look.

Chic minimalism or plain boring?
