Green Carpet Fashion Awards Roundup

The inaugural Green Carpet Fashion Awards took place in Milan on Sunday (September 24), focusing on celebrating sustainable innovation and supply chains striving to minimize their footprints. Fittingly, many of the lovely ladies in attendance wore ensembles in keeping with the awards’ ethos.

Arizona Muse: Looking lovely in lace, the model wore a bespoke print gown with handmade lace detailing by Stella McCartney for the Green Carpet Challenge. The alluring piece was crafted from recycled archival print fabrics. The mix of the delicate black lace with ab cut out against the flowing florals on the bottom was thoroughly intriguing.

Naomi Campbell: The model struck a pose in an Atelier Versace Spring 2017 Couture gown. Swirls of silver embroidery were enhanced by a gradient train of white and yellow feathers. Naomi’s signature mane was brushed over one shoulder, revealing the halter neckline of the dress.

amfAR Milano 2017

Beautiful babes lit up amfAR Milano 2017 on Thursday (September 21) wearing their most striking and varied ensembles.

Jourdan Dunn: Proving that shine and feathers aren’t needed to make an entrance, the model struck a pose in this bold Naeem Khan Fall 2017 gown. Wisely, she kept her styling simple to let all the abstract details on the dress be appreciated.

Alessandra Ambrosio: The Brazilian beauty’s Julien Macdonald Fall 2017 gown had lingerie leanings befitting a Victoria’s Secret supermodel. The triangle bikini top against the long sleeves is a strong contrast and makes me think this would have worked better as two separate dresses.

The Franca Sozzani Award

Many more celebrities paid tribute to Franca Sozzani at a ceremony held on a windy night during Venice Film Festival, from which Julianne Moore collected an award.

Karolina Kurkova: While I adore the model when she presents a more fashion forward aesthetic, this Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini pretty pink ruffle gown is as romantic as it is heavenly.

Isabeli Fontana: The model has proved to be quite the muse for Alberta Ferretti, wearing her 4th frock of this festival. While the elements weren’t too kind to her split front magenta gown, she carried herself with great dignity. I’m drawn to both the colour and construction of this stunning gown.

Hamptons Magazine Celebrates with Cover Star Karolina Kurkova

Although we may have just seen Karolina Kurkova in an impossibly glamorous outing in Italy, her latest rendezvous in Sag Harbor, New York shows that glamour comes in many forms.

On Thursday (July 13), the style-chameleon supermodel celebrated her Hamptons Magazine cover with another cover-worthy look in this menswear-informed La Ligne navy pinstripe suit.

She wore the retro, languid lines and the distinct borrowed-from-the-boys sensibility so effortlessly, generating a strong undercurrent of cool.

Impeccably styled, every accessory added to the editorial-ready equation—from the mannish panache of black-and-white Church’s brogues, to her structured Mark Cross handbag, the statement timepiece, and straw fedora.

With her burgundy lip bringing another layer of intrigue, I can think of no better companions to this look that was the sartorial embodiment of Sag Harbor.

Karolina Kurkova is Instaglam in Michael Kors

Glamour knew no bounds with Karolina Kurkova’s recent Instagram post that saw the IWC Schaffhausen ambassador representing the Swiss luxury watchmaker’s new Da Vinci collection.

Statuesque and stunning, she captivated attention in a dazzling, sequin Michael Kors design styled with an IWC timepiece, naturally.

The column gown wasn’t revolutionary in design by any means. But, it needed not be, as its simple magnificence of silhouette was eternally elegant.

And, with Karolina hitting just the right supermodel angles—not to mention the beautifully gilded, old-world opulence of her Florence villa surroundings—this was an Instaglam post for the books.

Even Karolina had to hashtag it: #Glamour.

Vogue Paris Foundation Dinner Red Carpet Roundup

A collection of models likewise turned out for the Vogue Paris Foundation dinner on Tuesday (July 4).

Lily Aldridge: At the height of classic elegance—with a notion of plunging sultriness—this Ralph Lauren white blazer and black trousers showed the sexy side of menswear-inspired tailoring.

Kendall Jenner: Donning a Mugler mini, this look had all the hallmarks of the designer with its strong, pointed shoulder, body-skimming silhouette, and leggy M.O. But, on Kendall, it maintained a fresh edge with her gorgeous gemstone earrings and sleek high bun.

Karolina Kurkova: The complexity of this wolf-printed Balmain cold-shoulder dress and its collection of fringe, embellishment and exaggerated sleeves, was no match for Karolina’s style prowess as she wore it with ease. But, there will be no denying that it would have been so much more well-suited for a fall engagement—especially with the suede legging boots.
