Who Wore Balmain Better…Karolina Kurkova or Kylie Jenner?

Who Wore Balmain Better Karolina Kurkova or Kylie Jenner

Karolina Kurkova was the first to wear this leather Balmain Pre-Fall 2013 mini to the IWC FilmMakers dinner back in May 19 last year, before Kylie Jenner gave the piece its second run-out during the 2015 Billboard Music Award exactly a year later.

While I prefer Kylie’s open shoe choice, the overall presentation – belt, hair and fit – from Karolina possess much more finesse so she wins for me.

Karolína Kurková: On this occasion, the model wore an Alexis Mabille Couture gown which was a cleverly reworked shirt dress. It’s all in the details.

Models @ The 2015 Met Gala

"China: Through The Looking Glass" Costume Institute Benefit Gala - Arrivals

The models also had their moment at the ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’ 2015 Met Gala, hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4), some strutting to the beat of the theme better than others.

Karen Elson: One of the most extravagantly attired models, Karen truly embraced the ‘costume’ in the Costume Institute Benefit Gala in her Dolce & Gabbana ballgown spectacle featuring an ornately embellished and gilded bodice with matching cuffs, and an explosion of red tulle. Her elaborate gold headpiece also gave Sarah Jessica Parker’s own topper a bit of crown competition. This was the Chinese princess moment of the night.

Karolina Kurkova In Oscar de la Renta – IWC Night

Karolina Kurkova In Oscar de la Renta - IWC Night

Karolina Kurkova attended the IWC Night as part of 2015 Beijing International Film Festival on Friday (April 17) in Beijing, China, continuing her ambassador role for the brand.

The model works an Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2015 painterly lustrous silk mikado bustier, in an architectural design which I love for it turbo-charged, distinctive visual energy.

Paired with wide-legged trousers in a cropped length to expose just the right amount of ankle for a feminine uptake and leg-lengthening appearance, I adore the mint-hued Louboutins she added to this stunning look.

Who knew an Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2015 look could feel so fashion-forward?

Karolina Kurkova In Delpozo – Save Venice Masked Ball

Karolina Kurkova In Delpozo - Save Venice Masked Ball

Karolina Kurkova joined Emmy Rossum and Allison Williams on the red carpet for the Save Venice Masked Ball, which took place at the Pierre Hotel on Friday (April 10) in New York City.

In total contrast to their glamorous offerings, Karolina opted for a more directional look, courtesy of Delpozo’s Fall 2015 collection.

The red pleated mini skirt styled with a matching peplum jacket with cape sleeves, is just the kind of look I would expect from Karolina: fierce, sexy and bold without trying too hard, which continues to put her head and shoulder above her peers when it comes to red carpet style.

Amping up the look with a Akris bag, vintage brooches from New York Vintage and Giuseppe Zanotti Design shoes. I love how the gold accents from her shoes complemented her Eddie Borgo hair accessory.

Karolina Kurkova In David Koma – FIA Formula E race

Karolina Kurkova In David Koma - Formula ePrix

Karolina Kurkova attended the FIA Formula E race in Miami, FL on Friday (March 14).

The supermodel served up a high-impact look wearing a tri-colour dress from one of her favourite designers: David Koma.

I love this look for its fresh, chic aesthetic and contemporary appeal, fusing asymmetrical cuts with colour-blocking for an ultra-luxe casual look.

This daytime look was simply styled with strappy sandals, shades and a directional cuff.
