Models @ The 2017 CFDA Fashion Awards

It was all cheekbones and centre-partings as models descended on the 2017 CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday (June 5) in New York City.

Bella Hadid: The model is a fan of flashing flesh but kept it sophisticated in this blazer-style dress from Off-White Fall 2017. Top marks for the flared sleeves and retro full fringe. We’ll ignore the pale pink lunch bag style clutch.

Maye Musk: I do love the humour and personality in this Rosie Assoulin Spring 2017 dress. It’s unashamedly extroverted and doesn’t apologise for its bling accessories courtesy of Atelier Swarovski Fine Jewelry.

Karen Elson: Ah, red and green a hallowed combination that almost never goes wrong. Unfortunately, the tried and tested combo falls short here. The Anna Sui Fall 2017 dress is a confusing array of frills, draping, and puff sleeves. Combined with heavy shoes, this look is overwhelmingly bad.

Models @ The 2017 Met Gala

The models had their moment at the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1) in New York City. Here, a look at how they made the night’s blue carpet their catwalk.

Bella Hadid: We’ve heard of the naked dress, but Bella had the naked jumpsuit of the evening in this sheer mesh Alexander Wang number that left precious little to the imagination.

Gigi Hadid: Her sister may have opted for the naked look, but Gigi just went plain nude in this sweeping Tommy Hilfiger gown—her version of a princess dress—that combined architectural tailoring with romantic femininity. To add an edge, Wolford fishnets did the trick for her leg jut that was likewise accessorised by Christian Louboutin heels.

2015 Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards Red Carpet Roundup

2015 Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup from the 2015 Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards held at Claridges Hotel on Tuesday (November 3) in London, England.

Sienna Miller: Some may have regarded Sienna’s red carpet style a tad hit and miss during her promo tour for ‘Burnt’, but I am sure there will be no doubt that this pretty Valentino pale-blue and nude gown is a hit. She was the only bright spark on a truly underwhelming night.

Ruth Wilson: Before you totally rule out this Brandon Maxwell Spring 2016 LBD as a snooze, let me point out that the skirt possess a pleated panel which isn’t photographing too well here.

Erin O’Connor: The model wore a look from Roksanda’s Spring 2016 collection styled with Nicholas Kirkwood shoes. I’m usually a huge fan of ALL things worn by Erin, but this is feeling a tad washed out to me.

"China: Through The Looking Glass" Costume Institute Benefit Gala - Arrivals

The models also had their moment at the ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’ 2015 Met Gala, hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4), some strutting to the beat of the theme better than others.

Karen Elson: One of the most extravagantly attired models, Karen truly embraced the ‘costume’ in the Costume Institute Benefit Gala in her Dolce & Gabbana ballgown spectacle featuring an ornately embellished and gilded bodice with matching cuffs, and an explosion of red tulle. Her elaborate gold headpiece also gave Sarah Jessica Parker’s own topper a bit of crown competition. This was the Chinese princess moment of the night.

2014 Young Friends Of ACRIA Summer Soiree

2014 Young Friends Of ACRIA Summer Soiree

The 2014 Young Friends Of ACRIA Summer Soiree, held at Highline Stages on Wednesday (June 11) in New York City, turned into something of a Jason Wu mini fashion show, with several of the attendees wearing pieces from his Spring, Fall and Pre-Fall 2014 collections.

Jaime King: Wearing her second Jason Wu Fall 2014 look in so many days, the actress wore a taupe two-piece featuring a high-neckline sweater with a silk draped calf-length skirt, to which she attempted to add a touch of summer via the white pumps. While this is a great look, I think Jaime needed to re-read the invite, as it was entitled ‘summer’ soiree. Jennifer Fisher jewelry completed her look.

Hilary Rhoda: Always the picture of perfection, the model wore a shimmering Jason Wu Spring 2014 bias-cut white calf-length frock, styled to perfection with silver Jimmy Choo accessories including a ‘Candy’ clutch and the celebrity favourite ‘Lance’ sandals, recently upstaged by the Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals.

Adriana Lima: The model opted for a super-slinky gown from Jason Wu’s Spring 2014 collection. The bias-cut red-carpet-worthy piece enriched with a myriad of shimmering beads also featured a sexy thigh-high slit. Styled with black sandals and Jennifer Fisher jewelry, she completed her look with a slicked-back ponytail and kohl-rimmed eyes.

Karen Elson: Asymmetrical florals and polka dots were favoured by the model, who donned a Jason Wu dress from the Pre-Fall 2014 collection with ruffles and a draped shoulder.
