2014 Pride of Britain Awards Red Carpet Roundup

2014 Pride of Britain Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a quick roundup of a few other notables who attended the Pride of Britain Awards held at The Grosvenor House Hotel on Monday (October 6) in London, England.

Alesha Dixon: The ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge opted to flip the script, wearing a suit instead of a dress. The Ong-Oaj Pairam printed suit with leather patches was one of the sexiest looks on the red carpet despite all the attention-seeking plunging necklines and thigh-high slits.

Rachel Stevens: The singer, who hasn’t aged a day since her S Club 7 days, wore a David Koma Fall 2014 LBD, with the designer’s signature leather detailing adding a layer of sex appeal to the look. I perhaps would’ve been more excited about this look had she taken the dress up a few inches, but I do love her accessories, including a silver Anya Hindmarch ‘Crisp Packet’ clutch and teal-green Jimmy Choo pumps. You may remember that Jessica Alba wore a similar look to the Spike TV’s ‘Guys Choice’ awards.

Kara Tointon: The actress wore a signature lace Lover ‘Libra’ high-neck cap-sleeved frock which doesn’t feel quite right for the occasion, which is surprising considering she usually serves up high glamour on every occasion. I also can’t get past the makeup in this instance, which is making her appear rather ghostly.

Who Wore Clover Canyon Better…Olivia Wilde or Kara Tointon?

Who Wore Clover Canyon Better Olivia Wilde or Kara Tointon

Back in August, Olivia Wilde boldly stepped onto the red carpet at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s 2013 Installation Luncheon wearing a Clover Canyon Resort 2014 dress featuring a bold, colourful print.

Not known for her love of prints, the actress mastered this look, styling it with a grass-green Jimmy Choo Rebel suede clutch and ‘Larissa’ platform sandals.

Earlier this month, Kara Tointon wore the same to InStyle magazine’s ‘The Best of British Talent’ Pre-BAFTA party, styling her look with aqua pumps.

I love that both ladies considered a colour from the dress when choosing their accessories, and while they both opted for similar hairdos, Kara’s seemed to age her, so this win goes to Olivia.

Kara Tointon joined Mollie King, Natalie Dormer and Anna Friel on the red carpet at InStyle magazine’s ‘The Best of British Talent’ Pre-BAFTA party held at Dartmouth House on Tuesday (February 4) in London.

The former ‘Eastenders’ actress normally goes for a super-glamorous look, but on this occasion she wore something more contemporary from Clover Canyon’s Resort 2014 collection.

Her structured fit-and-flare frock features Clover Canyon’s high-impact graphics, which are worthy of the cover of Architectural Digest.

Aqua pumps and a hot-red lip were most definitely the way to go in styling this look – shame about the aging hairdo, though.

You may remember that we first saw this look on Olivia Wilde back in August.

Kara Tointon joined Sienna Miller on the red carpet at the Royal Festival Hall in London on Sunday evening for the British Academy Television Awards 2013.

The former Eastenders actress, who reinvented herself as a West End girl, looked very graceful wearing a Dennis Basso Spring 2013 gown.

Her strapless gown with embroidered details also features asymmetrical fringed accents applied randomly on the skirt.

The fringed details do not work for me. They overwork a fairly simple look and the applications just don’t make any sense.

A 40s updo, onyx earrings and flawless makeup completed her look.

Was this gown overworked for you?
