I want to start off by saying that this black strapless Louis Vuitton Fall 2008 dress with a tulle cape, looked much better on the runway, than when worn by stylist June Ambrose, and actress Juliette Lewis. But both ladies did their best to do it justice.

June wore the dress when she attended the 3rd Annual Black Girls Rock! Awards in New York back in November, with YSL Trib Two heels.

Juliette arrived at the British Comedy Awards 2008 last month in London, wearing the same dress with a red snake skin clutch, black heels, and a red and gold hair accessory.

The normally daring Juliette would have been able to rock the runway hat, but as she didn’t, so I will give this one to June.

This was one of my least favourite dresses from the Marchesa Spring 2009 collection.

Something about the exaggerated hips, that just did not work for me, but Dita von Teese really brings it to life, and the soft pink is just mesmerizing against her pale skin.

Eva Mendes also brought some Hollywood glamour to a cold rainy London, by wearing an ivory Temperley London one-shouldered dress, with a large bow detail, which she wore with champagne strappy heels.

The make-up was again light, and she wore a multitude of gold bangles on her wrist.

I do like this black Louis Vuitton Fall 2008 dress, with a tulle train, but it feels very tame for Juliette Lewis.

I wish she would have added more to the dress, than just the red clutch.

We are seeing this Hervé Léger Ombre bandage dress for a second time on the red carpet.

It’s a nice dress, and it suits TV presenter Kelly Brook very well as the colouring is great for her, but I prefer her when she wears 50s style dress.

Charlize Theron was the belle of this ball, arriving in a black Christian Dior Fall 2008 Couture strapless dress with a sequined dripping detail effect on her sheer skirt.

Her hair was sleek straight, as she carried a black clutch and wore gold studded strappy sandals.

Jennifer Morrison continues her love affair with the Valli collection, this time wearing a black strapless Giambattista Valli Spring 2009 dress with a black and white poufy skirt.

The actress wore her hair back in loose waves and completed her look with black strappy sandals.

I loved this dress better on the runway, as the skirt had more volume.

I got really excited when I saw Blake Lively’s name on the picture agencies list.

When I clicked her name my face literally dropped when I saw what she was wearing an uncharacteristic Vena Cava Fall 2007 maxi.

I am speechless. SPEECH-LESS.

Juliette Lewis arrived wearing a silver sequined 3.1 Phillip Lim jumpsuit, which despite being a summer favourite are still very hot this Fall.

Maria Sharapova is delightfully elegantly chic in her chocolate mini Richard Chai Resort 2009 dress.

I love Tory Burch for 2 reasons: firstly, she’s never predictable on the red carpet and secondly, she’s not afraid to wear designs that are not her own.

The designer stepped onto the red carpet wearing a bold chartreuse and black velvet YSL Fall 2008 dress with a grey clutch and black strappy sandals.

Coco Rocha adopts a gypsy/ethic vibe wearing a gold headscarf with a black Gucci Resort 2009 dress with floral details.

I love this look.  It’s very different for the red carpet, but she makes it work.

This is not a look we are familiar with seeing on Chanel Iman, but the baby faced model pulls off the masculine look with great style and panache.

The black stole is a perfect added touch to her grey suit from the Daughters by Obedient Sons Fall 2008 collection.

Eva Amurri was the first actress to introduce me to the designs of Chris Benz, and she continues to stay faithful to the designer wearing a chartreuse floral Chris Benz Spring 2009 dress with an asymmetrical hem.

She matched her clutch and strappy sandals to her stand-out dress.

Well, what can you say about Agyness Deyn’s rather unique style that has not been said already?

It’s great that she likes to stand out, but for me she usually looks very comical.

This is more a stand-out look with the Mary Poppins hat and her red platform heels by Alejandro Ingelmo.

Anna Wintour loves plenty of colour and it shows here with her very colourful top, but I am not so crazy about her accompanying white skirt.

Both are from the Marni Spring 2009 collection.

Bee Schaffer looks stunning as always, in a very understated way.  She wore a strapless Thakoon Spring 2009 ivory dress, with black bands going around it.

She matches her dress with bronze Christian Louboutin heels.

Erin Fetherson is of course showing off one of her floral maxi designs from her Fall 2008 collection.

Diane von Furstenberg adopts the flapper look wearing a self designed Fall 2008 feathered hem black sequined dress, with silver embellishments.

Finally someone has worn this multicolour lightning bolt and cityscape print Versace Fall 2008 dress.

I really enjoyed the selection of these dresses that were presented by Donatella, and I am happy Becki Newton has worn this purple one.

She wore her unique tank strapped dress with Versace black heels.

Christina Ricci opted for a backless Gothic-style grey Atelier Versace Fall 2008 dress, which could not be more perfect for her.

I love the embroidery detail.

Actor Patrick Dempsey, who is the current face of Versace Fall 2008 menswear, posed with Donatella Versace, who as always looks a knock-out with her body to die for.

Of course her stunning lilac gown is totally unique and has not been seen on the runway.

Despite the simple and non-revealing (for her) nature of Mariah Carey’s dress, I feel very underwhelmed looking at her in it.

Emma Roberts looks very grown up in this black shimmering strapless mini Versace bustier dress, with Jimmy Choo heels.

Jane Krakowski dares to wear this Versace Fall 2008 dress that has also been worn by Donatella herself, but totally look amazing in it.

The actress wore her midnight blue wet-look dress, with gold Louboutin’s.

Juliette Lewis’ Versace Fall 2008 fuchsia heels are working better for me than the beige Versace dress.

The dress feels a little tame for the wild star.

For the first time ever I feel that a dress works better on the runway than on Helena Christensen. I really don’t think this Versace Fall 2008 asymmetric lace dress works on her.

Madonna wore a black chiffon Dolce & Gabbana dress with a black sash at the waist.

The Material Girl has a habit of choosing black chiffon dresses for many red carpet events.

The star controversially wore a pair of Chanel pistol heels, which were presented during the Chanel Resort 2009 collection.

Diane Kruger was one of the best dressed at this event wearing a Chloe Fall 2008 navy dress with rosette embellished details, lace capped sleeves and a ruffled/layered hem.

I particularly adore her ankle shoe/boots.

Jessica Alba opted for a Dolce & Gabbana corseted black dress with a lace overlay.

The actress looks uncharacteristically pale here, but maybe it is just the light.

America Ferrera keeps it simply and chic wearing a black Dolce & Gabbana sheath dress, with black peep-toes.

Lindsay Lohan wore a LBD by Dolce & Gabbana with embellishments down the sides and a sheer panel on the top, but she still decides against applying fake tan to her feet and ankles.

Vanessa Williams shows of her delicious curves wearing a black satin Dolce & Gabbana dress, with a velvet bodice.

Brooke Shields breaks up the head to toe black with a yellow clutch.

Lake Bell was one of the few who did not wear black, thankfully.

The actress opted for a grey turtleneck Dolce & Gabbana body conscious dress, with exposed buttons.

This Dolce & Gabbana ensemble would have been so adorable on Becki Newton had it not been for the white shrug.

The shrug takes the look to tackyville, and no one likes it there.

I guess working on Gossip Girl means that 15 year old Taylor Momsen doesn’t do homework anymore, because she has been hitting the red carpet a lot recently.

The teen star arrived at this event in another mini D&G dress, with black booties.

Juliette Lewis like Madonna has a preferred style, which is flapper/fringed dresses.

The singer/actress wore a nude fringed dress with black embellished peep-toes.
