2017 Baby2Baby Gala Red Carpet Roundup

There were many more celebrities at the 2017 Baby2Baby Gala on Saturday (November 11) in LA, where Gwyneth Paltrow was honoured.

Jessica Alba: Even though she was wearing black, the actress was as glowing as ever. She dressed her burgeoning baby bump in a lace, form-fitted look from the Brock Collection Spring 2018 collection that brought plenty of sultry glamour to the event. Giuseppe Zanotti shoes completed the look.

Jennifer Garner: With an angelic approach, Jennifer wore a white Roland Mouret ‘Cheverley’ gown, which featured high-impact cape sleeves as a dramatic touchpoint.

Alessandra Ambrosio: I think we can all agree that this floral Ermanno Scervino Spring 2018 gown was a subtler take on the model’s favoured overtly sexy style. She accessorised the sweetly feminine look with Narcisa Pheres earrings and a Pasquale Bruni necklace along with the Lee Savage ‘The Space’ clutch.

Post Emmys Parties

Following the big show, came the Emmy’s after parties hosted by HBO and FOX which saw a few celebrities change into second looks.

Julianne Hough: When it comes to after-parties, the idea is to switch into something more comfortable to get your groove on without the fear of someone stepping on the train you’ve been carrying around during the awards ceremony, but Julianne has different idea. She used the occasion to dress up again, wearing a Monique Lhuillier Spring 2018 gown with a train longer than her Marchesa gown. I love the ethereal nature of the gown, but I really dislike the clutch here and I feel like she’s a tad overdressed for the occasion.

Sarah Hyland: When I look at Sarah in this Vatanika Spring 2018 LBD, I’m like, “yes, she gets it. She came to party”.

Julie Bowen In Alberta Ferretti Couture – 2017 Emmy Awards

Julie Bowen was intent on proving that black could be anything but boring at the 2017 Emmy Awards on Sunday night (September 17).

Her dress wasn’t boring, but I must say it stood out for the wrong reasons. I want to support the Alberta Ferretti Spring 2017 Couture gown, but I cannot get behind the detailing.

I enjoy the swirling volume of the ruffles, but it’s the placement that kills it for me. Additionally, the light fabric against the heavy velvet enhances the disjointed finish.

Had the ruffles been in the same fabric or placed across the body, it might have been more successful. Or, it would have worked better if the belt remained. I could even see a bustle being a better option. Thoughts?

Julie Bowen In J. Mendel- 2017 SAG Awards

Julie Bowen attended the 2017 SAG Awards in LA on Sunday (January 29).

The ‘Modern Family’ actress wore an intricate white gown from J.Mendel’s Spring 2017 collection.

The peekaboo aspect of the gown is interesting but the colour doesn’t allow her to standout.

Some contrasting accessories, and perhaps bolder jewelry would help to liven up this look.

Julie Bowen In Monique Lhuillier – Harper’s Bazaar Celebrates 150 Most Fashionable Women

Julie Bowen attended Harper’s BAZAAR Celebrates 150 Most Fashionable Women on Friday (January 27) in Hollywood.

The actress wore a Monique Lhuillier Resort 2016 frock with Borgioni diamond earrings and rings along with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals.

The frock was surely oozing charm, what with its delicate floral embroidery and tulle midi skirt.

Its youthful tea party mood is sweet but its paler nude colour can be more of an acquired taste, as it first registers as a bit dull before moving to subtly beautiful territory.

2015 Baby2Baby Gala Red Carpet Roundup

2015 Baby2Baby Gala Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup from the 2015 Baby2Baby Gala on Saturday (November 14) in Culver City, California.

Jenna Dewan Tatum: As always, Jenna was head and shoulders above the rest looking elegant wearing a Monique Lhuillier Spring 2016 spring-green strapless embroidered tulip dress with white degradé flowers. The styling – yes even the white shoes – made me swoon.

Reese Witherspoon: Sadly this is all wrong for Reese. Words I thought I would never say in reference to a Giambattista Valli Spring 2015 Couture piece. I guess this explains why she usually sticks to tried and trusted.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: From the sugary pink hue, to the poor construction of this Dior frock and the horrendous shoes, this was a no from head-to-toe from Rosie.
