Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Julianne Moore upstaged starlets half her age at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards tonight.

The actress wore a black strapless Chanel Couture Fall 2011 gown with subtle, ruffled layers.

Her gown is hugely improved without the collar.

Julianne added a pop of colour to the look with gorgeous emerald Bulgari tassel earrings.

Her signature red hair was swept over one shoulder in true bombshell form.

Many of you who had grown tired of her wearing Lanvin. It looks like she finally listened and as a result this is one of her best ever red carpet looks to date.

The message many of you gave to Julianne Moore yesterday was, “Lanvin doesn’t work for you” – but judging by what she wore to the unveiling of Waterford Premier Interiors Collection at ‘Live a Crystal Life’ at Center 548 in New York City last night – she ain’t listening.

The actress donned yet another Lanvin dress, this time a ribbed wool dress with artful silk-gazar puffy sleeves from the Fall 2011 collection.

There is something about her persistence I admire, but this dress isn’t doing her any favours.

The words boxy and unflattering immediately spring to mind, with dull and uninspiring following.

I don’t like that the sleeves have lost their fizz off the runway.

Julianne Moore was in attendance at the 2012 Pirelli Calendar gala dinner in New York City on Tuesday evening.

The actress was oozing glamour wearing a Lanvin two-tone dress from the Pre-Fall 2011 collection.

A black velvet bodice and billowing sheer sleeves make for the most luxurious winter combination we can imagine.

The real beauty, though, is in the details.

One oversized shoulder gives the dress just a touch of structure to offset the otherwise very basic shape.

Industrial-like metal Lanvin cuffs add a modern element that plays well with strappy metallic Lanvin heels, but the bronze serpent chain sandals themselves are overly fussy.

What are all those things hanging off the straps?

An elegant updo and a Lanvin beige serpent minaudiere complete the look.

Julianne Moore was one of the guest speakers at ‘What’s On The Table’ event which was held at a Private Residence in New York City this weekend.

The actress, who tends to favour Lanvin and Tom Ford for her red carpet appearances, opted for a look from the Bottega Veneta Resort 2012 collection on this occasion.

Her nude, black and orange colour block dress was paired with ankle strap snake-skin wedges.

It’s great to see Julianne in something more colourful, but I don’t like nude underlay poking out from the under the hemline.

An updo, barely there make-up and Bvlgari jewels completed her look.

Julianne Moore was at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City for “The Big Lebowski” Blu-Ray Release event yesterday.

She wore a custom Jason Wu dress.

The black 3/4 length sleeve knit dress is accented with an oversized ivory organza bow.

This custom look is very Julianne, chic, understated and elegant with a signature feminine Wu touch via the ivory bow.

I love Julianne’s accessories which include Tabitha Simmons leopard ‘Bailee’ heels, a quilted clutch and diamond earrings.

The only thing I’m not crazy about is the hair which makes her look like a chic librarian.

Julianne Moore love affair with Lanvin continues during her promo tour for, “Crazy Stupid Love.”

She wore her 3rd Lanvin look this week on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” last night.

The 50-year-old actress wore a Lanvin Spring 2010 black cotton t-shirt with gold sequin paillette embroidery.

The top was teamed with black pants and a pair of Maison Martin Margiela peep-toe column-heel ankle boots.
