Jessica Chastain In Givenchy – 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Jessica Chastain made a radiant appearance on the red carpet of the 2014 Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles this evening (January 12).

The stunning star wore a custom Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci gown with intricate monochromatic detailing.

Jessica paired the dress with a beautiful diamond necklace and made the very unique but obviously thoughtful choice to forego earrings altogether.

Absolutely luminous skin, long lashes, and gorgeous red curls are the perfect beauty look for a big award show.

Elisabeth Moss In J.Mendel – 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Elisabeth Moss attended the 2014 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 12) in Beverly Hills, California.

A big night for Elisabeth, as she was nominated for ‘Top of the Lake’ the actress walked the red carpet in a runway look from J. Mendel Pre-Fall 2014.

Elisabeth joined the likes of other actresses like Olivia Wilde and opted for a beaded gown. The two-toned burgundy and black design was a bit 1920’s-inspired but made modern with a structured silhouette with capped sleeves.

The nominee added a dose of gold via a thin cuff, ring, and geometric earrings by Jennifer Meyer.

Despite the interesting and certainly intricate detail of the beading, this gown did not win me over. What’s your take?

Reese Witherspoon In Calvin Klein Collection – 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Reese Witherspoon In Calvin Klein Collection - 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Reese Witherspoon arrived at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles Sunday evening (January 12) wearing a strong, American sportswear look.

The actress wore a teal, custom Calvin Klein Collection viridian silk crepe t-back dress and Harry Winston jewelry.

Reese chose a low-key look, which is appropriate considering she is a presenter, not a nominee tonight. The fit and color are flattering and the t-back is a great, sporty detail.

Fresh-faced make-up and simple hair suit the feel of the dress.

This hem desperately needs to be shortened but it’s otherwise a pretty dress well-suited to the sweet, bubbly actress.

Amy Poehler In Stella McCartney – 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Amy Poehler In Stella McCartney – 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Amy Poehler looked chic on the red carpet of the 2014 Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles this evening (January 12).

For her walk down the red carpet, the comedian and co-host for the evening wore a custom Stella McCartney gown with asymmetrical detailing and Charlotte Olympia shoes.

Amy Poehler usually sticks with fairly subdued gown on the red carpet, so I love that she chose this little black number that seems so simple but has this fun little cut-outs on the seams.

A perfect blowout, nude lips (a huge trend for the night) and flawless skin complete the look.

Jennifer Lawrence In Christian Dior Couture – 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Jennifer Lawrence in Christian Dior Couture - 2014 Golden Globe Awards

In what may not come as a big surprise to many, Jennifer Lawrence worked another Christian Dior design at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards, hosted at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday night (January 12).

On this occasion, the ‘American Hustle’ supporting actress nominee pulled no punches, even playfully joking on the red carpet that her decision to wear Dior was such a ‘shocker.’

Although we’ve come to expect Dior from Jennifer, it’s always still a guessing game as to exactly what kind of designer moment she’ll have. This time, her strapless white gown was from the Fall 2013 Couture collection, although it registered as a familiar silhouette to what we’ve seen before.

The gathered, full-skirted dress, which may have skewed slightly bridal upon closer inspection, was punctuated by two black ribbon bands to cinch in the waist and hip.

While she skipped the runway’s theatrical, elbow-length gloves, she did further pull the shade of black into the look with a clutch and gemstone bracelets.

A jade-tinged pair of pendant earrings provided a burst of brighter colour to the ensemble, which she finished off with a deep oxblood lip and kohl-rimmed eyes.

This mainly monochromatic entrance was really about a play between the contrast of white and black, light and dark. Did it work for you?

Emilia Clarke In Proenza Schouler – 2014 Golden Globe Awards

EmiliaClarke

Emilia Clarke stunned on the red carpet at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 12) held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

The ‘Game of Thrones’ star wore a Proenza Schouler custom gown in a dreamy black and white design. A sweetheart neckline was offset by a sexy slit up the front of the dress, and the peplum-like waist detail gave the presenter for the evening a va-va-voom look.

Emilia topped her look off with delicate black ankle wrap heels, a box clutch, and gold domed cuffs and gold diamond earrings by Sidney Garber.

In the beauty department, Emilia played it just right with soft waves with a center part to mimic her neckline and neutral-toned makeup.

Not only do I love this look, but I think the actress’s ‘Game of Thrones’ character would dig her Sidney Garber cuffs, too.

Emma Roberts In Lanvin – 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Emma Roberts In Lanvin - 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Emma Roberts owned the red carpet at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles tonight (January 12).

The ‘American Horror Story: Coven” actress wore a custom Lanvin gown, turquoise chandelier earrings and a Kotur clutch.

The only appropriate response to this dress is, ‘Wow.” It would be all too easy for a black, unembellished dress to come across as boring but this is pure perfection with a dramatic mermaid hem and striking neckline.

Emma’s clean, swept back hair, smoky eye and dramatic earrings are the perfect complement.

This young actress has truly come into her own and we’re expecting big things on red carpets to come.
