Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Julianne Hough took to the red carpet last night for the ‘Footloose’ LA Premiere.

I’m not usually a fan of what Julianne wears on the red carpet, but I do love this Tibi Fall 2011 ensemble.

The actress/dancer wore a red organza top with gathered neckline and sheer sleeves, with matching high-waisted shorts.

I’m so glad she didn’t over-accessorize the look as she only added gold earrings, nude pumps and a large cocktail ring.

Beauty-wise, she’s flawless.

Sweeping, tumbling waves and glossy nude lips completed her look.

Beyonce Knowles chose to wear this flirty sequinned Roberto Cavalli halter dress to support her man Jay-Z at his New York concert back in September.

Looking radiant, the singer paired the dress with black patent leather heels and a statement cuff. She wore her hair down with ringlet curls and smoky eyes.

I think Beyonce looks gorgeous in this dress as she’s literally glowing. It’s a great party outfit and she definitely looks ready to have a good time.

Julianne Hough was next to wear this dress to attend UCLA’s Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation’s ‘2011 Taste for a Cure,’ last month.

She paired the dress with nude platform pumps, a simple diamond tennis bracelet and wore her hair up in a teased ponytail.

Unfortunately, Julianne doesn’t add anything to this look to make it stand out. Her shoes were definitely the wrong choice for such a fun party dress and I think her hair should have been worn down. It all feels a little too bland for my taste.

Finally, Diane Kruger cuddled up to boyfriend Joshua Jackson in the same dress at the opening of the Ian Schrager Edition Hotel in Turkey last week.

The beautiful actress added a pair of black strappy Jason Wu heels to the dress with wavy hair. She went for minimal makeup save for a pop of light pink lipstick and bright red nail polish.

As always, she looks effortlessly chic and her shoes were a great choice for the dress.

Julianne is instantly out of the running. Her poor shoe choice and lack of exciting accessories just don’t fit the mood of the dress.

Both Beyonce and Diane look amazing, but I’m going to choose Diane as the winner based on her excellent decision to wear those Jason Wu shoes. They add just the right amount of sexiness and allow her to pull ahead in the style department once again.

Here are the rest of the looks from the 2011 Academy Of Country Music Awards.

Martina McBride looked spectacular on the red carpet wearing a Pamella Roland Spring 2011 gown.

The ivory one shoulder gown with cascading back and gold embroidered belt was teamed with gold fringed earrings and a large gold ring.

For some reason I thought Julianne Hough was Christina Aguilera.

The dancer/actress wore a beautiful peach halter Randi Rahm gown, but she OD’ed on the gold accessories.

Miranda Lambert looks beautiful as always, but her white embellished Lorena Sarbu gown doesn’t appear to be supporting the twins too well.

Jennifer Nettles is usually in the top 5 Best Dressed, but there was no wow factor on this occasion. This black Doo.Ri Fall 2011 gown with a web-like back panel is the most uninspiring look she’s ever worn on the red carpet.

Julianne Hough attended the Search for “The 9″ Next Milk Mustache Stars launch last tonight in New York City.

The actress, singer, and dancer opted to wear a Pamella Roland white wool crepe cap-sleeve dress with a knotted keyhole detail.

Her dress is uber cute. She has an amazing body to pull off this look.

Thankfully she didn’t add tights or black pumps to this look. She kept it spring fresh with nude peep-toes and gold accessories.

Here is a round up of the rest of the looks from the 2011 Golden Globe Awards.

“Modern Family” actress Julie Bowen looked breath-taking wearing a Tadashi Shoji Spring 2011 dove grey antique crinkled silk chiffon beaded floral detail gown, which she teamed with a Judith Leiber ‘Katarina’ grey satin clutch.

Christina Hendricks looked stunning wearing a red hot Romona Keveza elegant silk crepe one shoulder gown with ruffled strap which she teamed with a Judith Leiber Fleurs minaudière.

I just wish she pulled her hair back so it wasn’t competing with the ruffled detail on her shoulder.

Vanessa Williams gave me old school glamour wearing a vintage pink sequined one shoulder Roberto Cavalli gown.

Her body is to die for and those earrings are divine.

Many other stars attended Christina Aguilera’s “Burlesque” LA Premiere. Here’s a look at what they wore.

Kristin Cavallari wore a stunning Zuhair Murad Fall 2010 dress.

Her emerald green silk satin strapless dress with a pleated skirt had an amazing embellished bodice.

Nude Sergio Rossi pumps and a wavy updo completed her look.

I’m still finding it really hard to adjust to Julianne Hough’s brunette locks.

The actress/singer who also appears in this movie wore a Georges Hobeika Fall 2010 dress.

Her golden beige off-the-shoulder cocktail dress was beautifully accented with an embellished waistband.

She teamed her dress with gold accessories which included a Judith Leiber clutch.

Rebecca Gayheart wore a Monique Lhuillier Pre-Fall 2010 dress.

Her orchid/grey swirl jacquard dress with ruched sleeves was teamed with black peep-toes and a Judith Leiber clutch.

I really love and respect Debi Mazar, so I’m disappointed to say that this has to be one of the worst looks to grace the red carpet this year.

The model barely made this red and silver Carolina Herrera Fall 2010 jacquard one-sleeve dress work, so Debi didn’t stand a chance.

She does herself no favours by adding those kitten heels.
