Julianne Hough In Marc Jacobs - QVC Presents 'FFANY Shoes On Sale'

Julianne Hough slinked onto the red (ahem, pink) carpet at the QVC Presents ‘FFANY Shoes on Sale’ gala, which was hosted by the Fashion Footwear Association of New York at The Waldorf Astoria in New York City on Tuesday.

The dancer-cum-actress brought on the drama in a Marc Jacobs Fall 2013 midnight-blue, backless gown, which she accessorized without the runway’s full-on fur but with a single tassel necklace.

The rich tones continued in her oxblood lip, with her asymmetrical, retro waves completing the vintage-glam effect.

Julianne Hough

Julianne Hough took a major fashion risk when she hit the red carpet of the 2013 Emmy Awards.

The actress and former ‘Dancing with the Stars’ professional dancer wore a ethereal Jenny Packham Spring 2014 gown.

Julianne is a loyal devotee of designer Jenny Packham, and while the two usually create magic together, this one just doesn’t work for me.

The bare legs peek-a-boo effect just isn’t elegant, and I so wish there was a lining here, because everything else about this gown is perfection.

Julianne complemented her look with a Daniel Swarovski vintage crystal and pearl ‘Opus’ clutch, soft waves and glossy pink lips.

Julianne Hough In ASOS - The Hollywood Reporter’s Emmy Party

Julianne Hough was among the celebrity set who kicked off the Emmys weekend at The Hollywood Reporter’s Nominees Night party, hosted at SoHo House in Los Angeles, California yesterday evening.

The entertainer showed off her dancer’s legs in a pair of gold jacquard shorts from ASOS, one of the evening’s sponsors.

Dialing back the lookbook’s more dramatic, ornate styling, she dressed the shorts with a black halter top, barely-there sandals and a black clutch for an effortless-chic vibe.

Her shorter blonde locks were coaxed into a breezy updo, whilst a bronzed complexion and nude lip completed the picture.

Julianne Hough In Emilio Pucci - Estee Lauder ‘Modern Muse’ Fragrance Launch Party

Julianne Hough attended the Estee Lauder ‘Modern Muse’ Fragrance Launch Party held at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City yesterday evening, which was also attended by Michelle Dockery.

The dancer/actress wore an Emilio Pucci Fall 2013 white wool-and-Chantilly-lace long-sleeved dress featuring point d’esprit panels and a sweet bow accent, which appears to be appropriate for the event but doesn’t feel quite right for Julianne, who tends to work a less saccharine look on the red carpet usually.

Casadei gold leather sandals and Sorellina fine jewels accessorized her look, with a blown-out bob and kohl-rimmed eyes completing her look.

Is this look giving you a toothache, or did Julianne play it right for the occasion?

Julianne Hough In Bec & Bridge and Halston Heritage - InStyle Summer Soiree

Julianne Hough attended the 12th Annual InStyle Summer Soiree held at the Mondrian Los Angeles in West Hollywood, California yesterday evening.

As you know, I have been crushing on Julianne’s style for a while now, and she’s wowed once again wearing a dramatic look consisting of a white Bec & Bridge top and a tulip orange Halston Heritage maxi skirt, which really stood out on this dove-grey red carpet.

Does the look feel a touch over-dramatic for a summer soiree?

Maybe, considering she was the only person who didn’t wear a knee-length look, but she looks so elegant and I love the effortless styling.

The half-up, half-down ‘do and neutral makeup take some of the formality out of the look, which would’ve looked just as good on the Emmys red carpet.

OTT or a perfect way to stand out?
