Best Dressed Award
After the CFDA Awards red carpet, the CMT Awards didn’t have as many wow moments.

Jennifer Nettles was by a very long mile the Best Dressed for me.

The singer glowed in a champagne Rachel Roy Fall 2009 strapless bustier dress.

I love the asymmetrical hem line, the gathered detail around the hips and way she elegantly styled her hair.

The only downsides for me were the clutch and the tie-dye Brian Atwood pumps.

Predictable, but Still Cute Award
Taylor Swift loves to sparkle on these occasions and she did wearing a Collette Dinnigan Resort 2009 mini with shoestring straps and a tiered skirt.

Her look was perfected with a pair of metallic Prada jeweled platform heels, and her hair elegantly swept back into a side bun.

Best Use of Colour Award
Singer and dancer Julianne Hough opted for a tiered coral Jenny Packham Spring 2009 cocktail dress.

The colour is gorgeous on her, she really stands out on this red carpet.

I love embellished details on the neckline.

Her look was completed with champagne coloured Guiseppe Zanotti heels which had a jewel detail.

Most Surprising Award
I’m glad Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson opted for this cute Elizabeth & James blue floral strapless tulip dress.

Just because she has a very athletic figure it doesn’t mean she can’t wear this floaty, ethereal look.

I would’ve loved to have seen her hair pulled back.

Best Rock Chick Award
Sheryl Crow wore a black tuxedo jacket and a cowl neck black top, but she added leather pants, studded heels and a necklace featuring mini skulls to toughen up her sexy look.

Expected More Award
Martina McBride opted for a grey tunic dress with an embellished neckline which looks fabulous on her but normally the singer goes all out.

This feel like something she just threw on.

Worst Colour Award
Whilst almost everyone else opted minis to show off their summer tanned and toned legs, Kellie Pickler opted for a Badgley Mischka Pre-Fall 2009 gown.

I love the embellished neckline and the cut of the dress does wonders for her figure, but this has to be the worst possible colour.

She should have opted for something more bright and colourful to match her sparkling personality.

Worst Hair Award
I’m not particularly loving the high neck long sleeve nature of this dress, but what I really don’t like Laura Bell Bundy hair.

I’m not sure if they are hair extension - although they very much look like it - but the style is quite hideous.

Worst Dressed Award
Model Karolina Kurkova wore a black Azzaro Gentleman’s Tux dress with Aldo ‘Seace’ black leather ankle boots.

For a premiere, screening, or gallery opening in New York this would have worked, but for the CMT Awards cute colourful sparkling dresses are almost mandatory. This work doesn’t work for me at all for this event.

Best Dressed Award
Carrie Underwood always looks fantastic on the red carpet, but I feel like she deliberately stepped it up a gear for this event.

The ‘hint of pink’ one-shouldered Randi Rahm gown was so beautiful, elegant and so far away from what I expected, that she was my best dressed for this event.

Golden Girl/Hips Don’t Lie Award
Kellie Pickler also opted for a golden gown. She looked outstanding, as she showed off her curves in her gold strapless sequin fish scale Zuhar Murad Haute Couture Spring 2009 gown with dramatic train, whilst carrying a Daniel Swarovski gold clutch.

What an absolute knock out. I am amazed at how smokin’ hot her body looks here.

Best Dressed Teen Award
Taylor Swift also changed gears. I was also expecting a blinged out, metallic, heavily embellished dress from her, but instead we got this gorgeous red hot Angel Sanchez Spring 2009 one-shouldered gown, which she complimented with red lipstick.

My first I thought was the gown needed something to nip in her waist, but on hindsight it would have ruined the sleek line of the gown.

The singer wore her dress with Neil Lane jewels, and a VBH envelope clutch.

2 For 2 Can’t Hate Award
I can’t hate Miley Cyrus’ clay grey Monique Lhullier one-shouldered gown, which was jeweled embellished, but I can really hate the hair.

Yes she is a teen, but side pony’s are not acceptable pass the age of 5.

Most Predictable Award
I love Nicole Kidman for the instant glamour she brings to every event, but I would really love to see her embrace other designers more often.

Again we see her another L’Wren Scott gown, from the designers Fall 2009 collection. The turtle-neck gown, with a cut-out back, and revealing split was a great look for the actress, who was at this event to support her husband.

Oh, did I mention L’Wren Scott is her stylist?

Best Carrie Underwood Impersonation Award
As much as I love Julianne Hough’s gold and bronze beaded v-neck Zuhair Murad gown, I just keep thinking that this is something Carrie Underwood would have worn to this same event maybe 2 years ago.

Gorgeous girl, gorgeous dress, but the de ja vu’s got me thinking mmmm?

Just OK Award
After Jennifer Nettles amazing dress at the Grammy’s this gorgeous lilac plunge-neck gown feels like a safe choice. I would have liked to see her wear something more lively, to go with her fun loving personality.

She looks hot though.

Most Disappointing Award
With all the colour on the red carpet, I am surprised LeAnn Rimes opted for a LBD.

I love the serpent ring and gladiators though.

Best White Gown Award
There were a lot of white gowns on this red carpet, but I particularly loved Jennifer Love Hewitt’s. She wore a white flowing, ethereal Robert Rodriguez halter gown, with a tiered bodice.

I also loved that she wore her hair up.

Best Clutch Award
Miranda Lambert wore a racy red strapless Nicole Miller minidress, but I feel myself more drawn to her gold Mary Norton clutch.

On Trend Award
Martina McBride follows the trend of night wearing a white flowing Badgley Mischka gown. The gown was embellished with embroidered turquoise beads and jewels on her shoulder.

De Ja Vu/Re-Run Award
Marissa Miller should know that re-runs at major events are frowned upon. January Jones wore this very same Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2009 dress to the Emmy Awards last year.

Next time Marissa, please do your red carpet homework.

Chloë Sevigny is looking fabulously chic in blue sequined Preen Fall 2008 dress.

The eye catching dress has a detailed double layered bodice, and a gathered hem.

The actress completed her look with a gold clutch, and a pair of navy pumps.

Perfect as always.

Disney actress Ashley Tisdale looked very cute in her beaded Collette Dinnigan flapper-esqe dress, which she wore with matching strappy Stuart Weitzman heels, and a Mary Norton clutch.

I love the softly smoldering eye make-up.

Fellow Disney star Monique Coleman opted for this ruched strapless BCBG Max Azria dress, which has a contrasting crisscross bodice with sweetheart neck line.

I would not have picked this dress for Monique, but she makes it work.

I love her blue and diamante strappy Giuseppe Zanotti jewel drop sandals.

With her elegant updo, Sarah Chalke arrived on the red carpet looking stunning in her navy and white Monique Lhuillier Resort 2009 halter gown.

The actress accessorized with drop earrings and a silver clutch.

I love her make up. Flawless.

Lisa Edelstein also opted for an updo to show off her gorgeous chocolate sequined Pamella Roland Fall 2008 halter gown, with floral embroidery.

From the long shot, it looks like the embroidered part has a sheer panel.

Dancer Julianne Hough wore this white tiered BCBG Max Azria gown, which has a contrasting black rose appliqué on the empire waist.

She compliments the black rose, with a black satin clutch and a black pair of strappy sandals.

Sarah Silverman is very inconsistent on the red carpet. Sometimes it jeans and a blouse, sometimes it is a sexy D&G dress, but on this occasion she wanted to have fun, so she wore an ivory frilly dress.

Whether this was Sarah showing off her funny side or her feminine side, only she knows.

She completed her look with a cropped cardigan, backward heeled shoes and a Mary Norton clutch.

I am torn on Kaycee Stroh’s dress. I like that it is not a plain black dress, but I also feel that the embellishments are a little too much on the bodice.

WWE Smackdown Autism Event, Washington

Jenny McCarthy shows off her well toned body in this champagne asymmetric Herve Leger Fall 2008 body con dress. The dress has a chocolate, taupe and cream detailing and is worn with bronze peep-toes.

The funny women wears this dress much better than it appears on the runway, as this dress was made for someone with curves.

She seems to be growing out her pob-style. I hope she still keeps her hair short, as it really suit her this way.

“The Mummy: Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor” Premiere, Mexico

Maria Bello wears her plunge neck sequined top and a black chiffon skirt from Farah Khan, with a red flamenco-style flower in her hair.

She completes her sexy senorita look with YSL Tribute pumps.

Remade Wrigley’s Gum Jingles Event, New York

Julianne Hough wears her tan suede cowboy boots with this cute Alice + Olivia dress, which has an orange bodice and cream skirt with orange rose appliqués.

Ballroom dancer and country music singer Julianne Hough, wore this beautiful ruffled lavender Roberto Cavalli empire waist dress to the 2008 CMT Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee last month with gold peep-toe shoes.

Actress Sharon Stone, who is usually on my worst dressed lists, so she surprised me by wearing the same beautiful dress this weekend, to The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center’s “Women’s Night 2008″.

Both women look beautiful so this is a very hard choice. If I was offered either dress, I would take that black one, as safe as it is, but I prefer Julianne’s hair so she wins this for me.

Vanessa Hudgens first wore this Jay Godfrey dress back in July to the LA premiere of Hairspray. For me, this was Vanessa best dress on the red carpet this year.

She teamed her dress with a black and gold clutch and strappy sandals.

Julianne Hough also wore the same mini dress in pink to the Enchanted premiere in November.

She teamed her dress with gold. Gold sandals, a gold clutch and gold jewelery.

This dress is still available from Neiman Marcus for only $440 in purple and blue sapphire.

This is a very hard choice as I love the dress on Vanessa, but I adore the pink.
