Variety’s Actors on Actors: Emmy Edition Red Carpet Roundup

Variety's Actors on Actors Emmy Edition Red Carpet Roundup

The Variety Studio Actors on Actors: Emmy Edition event, held on March 29 in Los Angeles, was a regular who’s who of powerful women in TV.

Mindy Kaling: Looking radiant and ready for spring, Mindy wore a matching green top and skirt with a bold tropical flower print. Paired with blush pink sandals, classic gold jewelry and a sleek, low-slung ponytail and soft pink lips, Mindy is looking gorgeous.

Lizzy Caplan: Taking a sleeker approach to the event, Lizzy wore a Andrew Gn Spring 2015 suit with white accent, Bionda Castana ‘Rosario’ pumps and Ippolita jewels. I love that she chose the white pumps with the look–it definitely adds some fun, and easy curls and bright red lips have her looking every bit the HBIC that she is.

Viola Davis: It’s not every day that a daytime frock gives you a ‘takes my breath away’ moment, but Viola did that for me in this sleeveless blue Donna Karan dress with lace and silver piping accents. She paired the look with gold Vince Camuto heels and Swarovski earrings, and she looks so radiant and fresh, I just can’t take my eyes off of her. Bouncy curls, glowing skin and a glossy pop of color on her lips finishes the ravishing look.

Julianna Margulies In Michael Kors – PALEYFEST LA Presents ‘The Good Wife’

Julianna Margulies In Michael Kors - PALEYFEST LA Presents ‘The Good Wife’
Julianna Margulies attended The Paley Center For Media’s 32nd Annual PALEYFEST LA for ‘The Good Wife,’ hosted at Dolby Theatre on Saturday (March 7) in Hollywood, California.

Minimally modern and simply chic must have been her mantra, and she followed it well in a Michael Kors Pre-Fall 2015 black dress with a subtly shimmering, halter-inspired neckline.

The epitome of an LBD, the design was classic and sophisticated without being yawn-worthy.

In keeping with the minimal aesthetic, her makeup was nude and natural, with Jerome C. Rousseau ‘Taboo’ notted-bow sandals provided the perfect ending to the look. Did you miss a bolder lip?

Julianna Margulies In Giambattista Valli Couture – 2015 SAG Awards

Julianna Margulies In Giambattista Valli Couture - 2015 SAG Awards

Julianna Margulies swept onto the red carpet of the 2015 SAG Awards held at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California on Sunday (January 25).

‘The Good Wife’ actress and SAG nominee joined the evening’s bold-colour brigade by wearing one of my favourite red-carpet hues.

The saturated cobalt-blue Giambattista Valli Spring 2014 Couture gown was without its original, black top, which I didn’t necessarily miss. But I did long for the polished drama of the runway’s draped full skirt, which translated more clumsily on the red carpet.

A Salvatore Ferragamo clutch, Jimmy Choo ‘Lucille’ black sandals and Fred Leighton jewels finished out the look.

The colour had me at hello, especially with Julianna’s jet-black locks; yet I wanted to say goodbye to the more messy silhouette of this dress from the waist down.

Julianna Margulies In Ulyana Sergeenko Couture – 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Julianna Margulies In Ulyana Sergeenko Couture – 2015 Golden Globes

Julianna Margulies attended the 2015 Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (January 11) in Beverly Hills, California.

“The Good Wife” star donned a rose-colored Ulyana Sergeenko Couture strapless with intricate hem detail.

I feel that the length of the dress is a bit clumsy looking on Julianna’s body due to the cut right above the ankle. Additionally, the wide-cut bodice does not properly accentuate her figure, leaving her look shapeless.

Though her Bulgari jewels are beautiful, I do not think that they work with this particular dress, and are harshly contrasted with her black heels and clutch.

I would have preferred to see Julianna wear dark jewelry in tone with her accessories, and have her beautiful, cascading hair curled and down – her hair is her best asset.

Julianna Margulies In Pamella Roland - The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Julianna Margulies made a guest appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ yesterday evening (September 16) to promote Season 6 of ‘The Good Wife’, which returns to CBS on September 21.

Working a familiar muted colour palette, the actress wore a Pamella Roland Resort 2015 black, charcoal and light-grey fit-and-flare party dress with embellished detailing on the halter neckline and waist which she style with Salvatore Ferragamo satin sandals.

I can’t help but be charmed by this playful design which is defined by a voluminous flared skirt; factor in that matte red lip, delicate drop earrings and chic styling and we have a BDOTW contender.

Get The Look: Emmy Awards Red Carpet Ready Skin

Emmys Skin

Hair and makeup artists aren’t the only experts who make sure celebrities are ready for the cameras during award shows. Their dermatologists also play a big role in prepping for red carpet appearances.

Harold A. Lancer, MD FAAD is a favorite amongst celebs and it’s clear to see why. His procedures and products have been used on Hollywood’s most famous faces and bodies. At this year’s Emmy Awards two of the many celebs he worked with were Sofia Vergara, and Julianna Margulies. With his help the ladies were picture perfect for the evening.

Sofia Vergara prepped her skin for the red carpet with the Venus Concept Legacy treatment. It’s a non-surgical body contouring, cellulite reduction, and skin tightening remedy. There are three different types of Venus Treatments the Swan, Freeze, Legacy. Each treatment works with, “Multi-polar radio frequencies which cause a thermal reaction that stimulates the body’s natural healing response.” The fast result make it a celebrity fave before important events.

The secret to Julianna Margulies’ skin starts with Dr. Lancer’s three-step method: polish, cleanse, and nourish. The Method focuses on the dermis and allows the skin to repair itself. Most skincare routines recommend that you exfoliate the skin last, but Dr. Lancer’s process is reversed, as he believes that products will work more effectively if the skin is first exfoliated.

Sounds like the beginning of a flawless selfie.
