Unite4 humanity Red Carpet Roundup

Alicia Keys: The songstress struck a pose wearing a Fleur du Mal bustier top and super wide-legged Proenza Schouler Spring 2014 pants. Accessories included Walter Steiger heels and a metallic clutch by Tom Ford. Sultry cat-eyes and the red pout completed her look.

Demi Lovato: The singer, who was presented with the Young Visionary Award, opted for an edgy black leather Jitrois frock featuring artful cut-outs at the neckline. Black Saint Laurent ‘Janis’ platform pumps and silver Demarco earrings accessorized her look. A maroon-hued updo and XIV Karats bracelets provided the finishing touches.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus: The actress looked lovely wearing a black-and-white printed David Meister sheath dress with red grosgrain belt styled with red hot Casadei pumps, Irene Neuwirth earrings and a Jacob & Co. ring.

Only Julia’s typical lady-like look works for me. I am not a fan of the other two.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus In Max Mara - 2014 Producers Guild of America Awards

Julia Louis-Dreyfus attended the 25th annual Producers Guild of America Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 19, 2014 in Beverly Hills, California following the SAG Awards on Saturday.

The actress wore a black Max Mara fitted dress featuring a sheer yoke and lace detailing on the bodice, which she styled with black pumps and ruby-stoned Irene Neuwirth earrings.

This look is very much to be expected: simple, ladylike and very chic. The earrings really elevate the look for me.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus In Monique Lhuillier - 2014 SAG Awards

Julia Louis-Dreyfus attended the 2014 SAG Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on Saturday (January 18) in Los Angeles.

The ‘Veep’ actress wore a color-blocked, Monique Lhullier gown. Like Anna Gunn, Julie went with the always-chic black and navy combination with a lace inset that sadly didn’t show up in many of the photos.

Julia’s strength normally lies in the impeccable fit of her dresses so it was a bit disappointing to see this gown looking just a touch off in the bust. It’s not clear if it’s a fit issue or the way the material is photographing but it’s not the perfection she normally delivers.

Otherwise, it’s a gorgeous, modern look topped off with a simple blowout and Forevermark jewels.

I expect that the tiny issue in the bust won’t stop Julia from landing on plenty of best-dressed lists.

2014 Critics' Choice Movie Awards Red Carpet Roundup

We’ve seen a roundup of the men, so here is a roundup of the ladies who attended the 19th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards at Barker Hangar on Thursday (January 16) in Santa Monica, California alongside the likes of Cate Blanchett, Amy Adams and Lupita Nyong’o.

Meryl Streep: Like Julia Roberts – her red carpet pal – and Matthew McConaughey, Meryl opted for sunglasses on the red carpet, much to my chagrin. The actress wore a Stella McCartney embroidery-detailed navy dress with flared sleeves styled with black tights, Ferragamo pumps and a fold-over Louboutin clutch. I’m rarely impressed with her red carpet looks and this is no exception. I wish Helen Mirren’s stylist would take Meryl under his wing.

Oprah Winfrey: The TV host wore an emerald green Azzedine Alaia dress, belted at the waist to accentuate her hourglass shape, which she styled with Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Abigail Breslin: Her pastel-grey Badgley Mischka gown makes her look much older and the colour is washing her out. The only thing I like here is the hair and makeup.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus In Narciso Rodriguez- 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Julia Louis-Dreyfus proved that some things only get better with age on the 2014 Golden Globe Awards red carpet in Beverley Hills Sunday night (January 12).

The double nominee, for ‘Veep’ and ‘Enough Said’, wore an orange dress by Narciso Rodriguez and gold jewelry by Fred Leighton.

Julia somehow manages to look better with every passing year. The warm color of this dress suits her perfectly, her body looks killer and the halter neckline is doing fabulous things for her shoulders and bust line.

The pulled back hair is sleek without being severe and her make-up is simple but pretty.

This is a perfect example of when less is more. If only we could all look so good at 52-years-old.
