Malaga Film Festival 2018

After Opening Day, the Malaga Film Festival 2018 continued to see a spate of stars on its red carpet in Malaga, Spain. And, they brought the glamour in spades on Day 2 and Day 3 of the festival on Saturday (April 14) and Sunday (April 15).

Paz Vega: I love how Paz paid tribute to the host country in a gown from Madrid-based The 2nd SKIN Co.’s Spring 2018 collection on Day 2 of the festival. The delicacy of the ballet-pink, chiffon layers was artfully awakened by the dimensional poufs of floral-like embellishment throughout for a striking effect.

Malaga Film Festival 2018 Opening Day

A trio of beauties were at the Opening Day of the Malaga Film Festival 2018 last Friday (April 13) in Spain.

Eugenia Silva: My feeling is that this glittery Armani Privé Spring 2017 held promise, but it was compromised in execution with the overly sheer effects—as well as what I would call an unnecessary addition of jewels with the earrings, necklace, and cuff plus the embellished clutch all rallying for attention. Less is often more.

Juana Acosta: This charmingly feminine H&M Conscious Exclusive frock was previously worn by Mena Suvari, but Juana mastered the eco-chic look so well that you won’t find me complaining. This was the perfect union of girlishness and glamour with the metallic accessories adding a special layer of dimension to the dress.

Belén Cuesta: Stripped of its western, cowgirl influences seen on the runway, this sparkling Christian Dior Resort 2018 corset dress retained a more straightforward elegance that Belén did not complicate by over-styling it with jewels.

Union De Actores Awards 2018 Red Carpet Roundup

Texture and bold prints were popular styles at the Union de Actores Awards 2018 on Monday (March 12) in Madrid, Spain. Lovely ladies joined Penelope Cruz.

Juana Acosta: The Colombian actress struck a pose in a Johanna Ortiz gown. It was brimming with dark romance from the deep colour palette and full sleeves. Jimmy Choo shoes and clutch played up the mood while the slit down the front added a sensual undercurrent.

Elena Anaya: Showing some leg, the ‘Wonder Woman’ actress donned a Carmen March frock. I fear that many will describe this as a garbage bag dress given the textural quality of the fabric. She carried a #MasMujeres red fan. Like #MeToo, it helps support equality for women in cinema.

2018 Goya Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The 2018 Goya Awards on Saturday (February 3) in Madrid, Spain saw more stars in attendance in addition to Maribel Verdu, Nieves Alvarez, Penelope Cruz, and Goya Toledo.

Juana Acosta: I was swept away by this breathtaking Pedro del Hierro off-the-shoulder, navy gown that translated with such classic elegance on Juana. I love the textural intrigue, too, with the point d’espirit effect. Swarovski jewels and a Jimmy Choo clutch completed the glamorous picture.

Mónica Cruz: The illusion effect via side and back cutouts of this Ruben Hernández lace gown didn’t featured the most flattering placement—and also seemed far too dated.

Front Row @ Armani Prive Spring 2018

The Armani Prive Spring 2018 show was held on Tuesday (January 23) during Paris Fashion Week.

Sara Sampaio: The model easily had my favourite look of the front row with this powdery pink jumpsuit that I loved not only for its romantic hue that was so striking with Sara’s jet-black locks, but also for the beautiful drape of its silhouette with the cape-style sleeves. The bold accessories, including metallic pumps and a printed clutch, contributed such a modern edge, too.

Diane Kruger: A distinct ode to old Hollywood elegance was most captivating about this look, with the sheer paneling offering a modern seduction to the embroidered dress.
