Menswear Midweek Red Carpet Roundup

Menswear Midweek Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a quick menswear catch up, with some of the Tony Awards attendees we missed.

Channing Tatum: The actor joined his lovely wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum on the red carpet for the ’22 Jump Street’ LA premiere on Tuesday (June 10). He donned a three-piece charcoal-grey Dolce & Gabbana suit styled with a striped shirt and slim tie

Jonah Hill: Channing’s co-star caught my eye wearing an ink-blue suit, opting not to wear a co-ordinating tie, but selecting brown instead. Perhaps in theory it shouldn’t work, but it does for Jonah.

Ben McKenzie: The actor joined Diane Kruger and Jordana Brewster on the red carpet for the 13th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball on Saturday (June 7). The actor donned a Z Zegna burgundy two-button peak-lapel suit with a striped tie and matching lace-up shoes. Aside from the colour, I love the slim fit and perfect pant length.

Menswear Roundup

Menswear roundup 9 decemberAn eclectic mix of men took to the red carpet today and over the weekend, where their looks ranged from regal to, well, a bit more wild. The unifying factor? All the guys worked some degree of facial scruff.

James McAvoy: To accept his ‘Best Actor’ Award at the 2013 British Independent Film Awards on Sunday in London, James wore a brown plaid Burberry suit, complemented by a baby-blue button-down shirt and brown silk tie. The tailoring could have been better, as the pants fell a bit long.

Adam Lambert: Always the sartorial show-off, the singer put his own flair on Sunday’s 15th annual Trevor Project Benefit, honouring Jane Lynch, in Hollywood, California. There was no missing his mulberry suit, swirled in an artsy, leafy abstracted pattern, which he paired with a charcoal-grey shirt. The heavy black loafers were a clunky contrast.

Christian Bale: Joining Bradley Cooper at the ‘American Hustle’ New York screening on Sunday, the actor walked on the dark side. He took a monochromatic, all-black approach in a Gucci notch-lapel, two button Brera suit, paired with a black dress shirt and black leather lace-up shoes.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Ferragamo 3

Over the past few days, the guys have taken to the red carpet in a bevy of sartorial statements ranging from trendy to traditional.

Jared Leto: At the “Dallas Buyers Club” Los Angeles premiere yesterday at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the actor was feeling blue in his Alexander McQueen ensemble that featured a bright cerulean blazer, semi-sheer black top and black skinny pants with zipper detail styled with Bruno Magli boots. Long, messy ombre locks added to his dressed-up rocker vibe.

Josh Duhamel: Josh was looking as dapper as possible at yesterday’s Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts Inaugural Gala in Beverly Hills, California, where his black tux and tie was polished and professional.

Dev Patel: Eschewing the basic black tux, the Salvatore Ferragamo-clad actor accompanied his leading lady, Freida Pinto, at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts Inaugural Gala. He gets points in my book just for stepping outside the style box with his dynamic, burgundy-red suit.

Josh Duhamel and Liam Hemsworth In Hugo Boss - 'Anthropocene' New York Premiere

Josh Duhamel and Liam Hemsworth attended the opening of HUGO BOSS’s Columbus Circle BOSS flagship, featuring the premiere of ‘Anthropocene’ by Marco Brambilla, in New York City yesterday.

Serving us two tall drinks of water, the actors almost blend into the backdrop in their Hugo Boss black suits.

Josh opted for a classic look with a satin tie, while Liam mixed things up a little wearing a striped shirt with this satin notched-lapel suit, accenting his tie with a pin.

Best Dressed of The Week – Olivia Wilde In Theyskens’ Theory, Kelly Chen In Dior and Josh Duhamel In Dolce & Gabbana

BDOTW

You crowned Olivia Wilde as your best dressed this week. She was back to her radiant best wearing a Theyskens’ Theory dress.

My pick was Kelly Chen. It’s not often that I use the words Dior and cool in the same sentence, but it definitely applied on this occasion.

As for the men, there was no contest. Josh Duhamel in his berry Dolce & Gabbana suit was a clear winner.
