Front Row @ Miu Miu Cruise 2018 Show

The front row at the Miu Miu Cruise 2018 show, held during Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week on Sunday (July 2), was chock-full of Miu Miu-donning darlings—each embracing the quirky charm of the label in their own unique way.

Elle Fanning: Looking every bit like a modern-day Miu Miu princess, Elle masterfully wore a precious look from the Fall 2017 collection that got its sweet edge from the explosion of oversized paillettes and magpie-worthy embellishment. What better, then, than a pearl-encrusted headband—a modern girl’s tiara, of course—to top off her ballerina bun.

Alexa Chung: With a more traditional edgy offering in play, Alexa wore another interpretation of scintillating sequins in this silvery-gray frock topped off with a studded, leather moto jacket. Of course, it was the embellished buckle footwear in schoolgirl plaid that really put the look into the realm of signature Miu Miu quirk.

Teresa Palmer: While there would be no sparkling embellishment to speak of in Teresa’s look, the whimsical cherry print more than made up for it in this vintage-inspired, ruffle frock. The styling lent itself even more to the eccentric Miu Miu twist with costume-y bauble earrings, a seemingly out-of-place blue purse, and glittery platform heels each playing unusual companions whilst elevating the dress’s twee spirit.

Models @ The 2017 CFDA Fashion Awards

It was all cheekbones and centre-partings as models descended on the 2017 CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday (June 5) in New York City.

Bella Hadid: The model is a fan of flashing flesh but kept it sophisticated in this blazer-style dress from Off-White Fall 2017. Top marks for the flared sleeves and retro full fringe. We’ll ignore the pale pink lunch bag style clutch.

Maye Musk: I do love the humour and personality in this Rosie Assoulin Spring 2017 dress. It’s unashamedly extroverted and doesn’t apologise for its bling accessories courtesy of Atelier Swarovski Fine Jewelry.

Karen Elson: Ah, red and green a hallowed combination that almost never goes wrong. Unfortunately, the tried and tested combo falls short here. The Anna Sui Fall 2017 dress is a confusing array of frills, draping, and puff sleeves. Combined with heavy shoes, this look is overwhelmingly bad.

2017 amfAR Gala Cannes Model Roundup

The models were out in force for the amfAR Gala Cannes on Thursday (May 25) during the Cannes Film Festival.

Elsa Hosk: Striking a pose with a distinct pink, pinup mood, this Ermanno Scervino Fall 2017 gown had all the hallmarks of boudoir dressing with the exposed corset and sheer lace—distracting black heels notwithstanding.

Bianca Balti: What’s this? A model not baring it all? Bianca went for a more conservative stance in a Dolce & Gabbana black gown that oozed of old Hollywood glamour when styled with finger waves, statement jewels, and Gianvito Rossi shoes.

Joan Smalls: Between the length, the ubiquitous slit, and the collar-style neck piece, I wasn’t quite sure what to make of this Elie Saab Spring 2017 Couture dress paired with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals and gigantic hoop earrings. Hip-hop, tribal glam?

Models @ The 2017 Met Gala

The models had their moment at the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1) in New York City. Here, a look at how they made the night’s blue carpet their catwalk.

Bella Hadid: We’ve heard of the naked dress, but Bella had the naked jumpsuit of the evening in this sheer mesh Alexander Wang number that left precious little to the imagination.

Gigi Hadid: Her sister may have opted for the naked look, but Gigi just went plain nude in this sweeping Tommy Hilfiger gown—her version of a princess dress—that combined architectural tailoring with romantic femininity. To add an edge, Wolford fishnets did the trick for her leg jut that was likewise accessorised by Christian Louboutin heels.

The Blond One Year Anniversary with V Magazine

The Blond held its one-year anniversary party in partnership with V Magazine on Friday (April 28) in New York City.

Rita Ora
: Rita put the power in power suit when it came to this Jil Sander Spring 2017 ensemble. Who knew that the exaggerated proportions of menswear-inspired tailoring could look so smoldering.

Hailey Baldwin: Clearly, the party allowed for a more boundaries-pushing wardrobe. But, that was right up Hailey’s hot-to-trot style, as she worked a trinity of sheer, short, and sequined in her Faith Connexion dress paired with her signature hoop earrings along with a fuchsia-pink Gucci bag and Jimmy Choo nude heels. Like or loathe the dress, the purse just seemed like the odd-accessory-out.

Joan Smalls: As one of the evening’s hosts, the supermodel was not to be missed in her head-turning, glitzy Giambattisa Valli paillette-encrusted playsuit styled with a distressed denim vest, an Edie Parker ‘Smalls’ clutch, and strappy heels. But her enviable, never-ending pins were her greatest accessory here, as she fully embraced the ‘if you’ve got them, flaunt them’ spirit.
