Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Now that the ‘Sex And The City’ phenomenon is over, we have the cast of ‘Gossip Girl’ styles to lust over.

You may have noticed that the GG stylists have been using a lot of prints for the girls wardrobe in Season 4.

Leighton Meester has been seen mixing prints and Blake Lively has been seen wearing floral shorts, but the Queen of prints is Jessica Szohr’s character ‘Vanessa Abrams’.

Last week she was spotted on set with co-star Penn Badgley wearing an interesting mix of prints.

Her blue floral top was paired with Suno Spring 2010 Kanga Leaf red shorts.

The tropical look was paired with chunky accessories which included Dannijo bracelets, Stephen Dweck multi-stone beaded necklace, blue Miu Miu heels and a Katherine Kwei hobo.

I love this look minus the bracelets and the bag.

I guess as this is a for a TV show they want to dazzle us with as much colour as possible. Read more…

We’ve seen Blake Lively as Serena van der Woodsen and Leighton Meester as Blair Waldorf shooting scenes for ‘Gossip Girl’s’ in Paris, but the other star are hard at work as well.

Jessica Szohr as Vanessa Abrams was spotted filming in New York City yesterday with co-star Penn Badgley as Dan Humphrey.

Vanessa’s style doesn’t appear to be changing for Season 4.

She’s still channeling boho chic with an ethnic twist.

On set she wore a Nanette Lepore Wild West dress with an ikat print and a True Religion Leah vest.

Her accessories included on trend Stuart Weitzman studded clogs and a multi-coloured Aurélie Bidermann necklace.

Excluding the fringed bag, I really like how this look was accessorized.

Best Accessories Award
Jessica Szohr was one of the few actresses at the 2010 MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto, Canada last night.

She was my second favourite at this event wearing a sparkling Jenny Packham Fall 2010 dress.

Her sequin and beaded tangerine plunging neckline mini dress was paired with gold Christian Louboutin Romaine 140 platform sandals and a yellow Jimmy Choo Candy acrylic clutch.

I love that she wasn’t afraid to wear bright accessories with a colourful dress.

I love it when stars are this adventurous.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and Kim Cattrall blew everyone away on the red carpet for the New York premiere of Sex And The City 2 last night.

Here is a look at the rest of the celebs who attended.

Becki Newton looked adorable wearing a Celine Resort 2010 blazer with cute black leather shorts.

Brian Atwood heels and a Chanel clutch completed her look.

Cute, yet chic.

Jessica Szohr opted for a tougher look wearing a black Willow Fall 2010 tuxedo jumpsuit with a twisted front.

I do like the jumpsuit but the pants are too long on Jessica.  Her black bandage wedges which are also from the Willow Fall 2010 collection didn’t excite me.

Jennifer Love Hewitt decided to be original opting for a Herve Leger crystal-embellished bandage dress from the Resort 2010 collection which she paired with Christian Louboutin Studio 120 peep-toe pumps.

As much as I prefer the runway Herve Leger dresses, she does look smokin’ hot in her signature dress.

Becki’s Celine jacket is my favourite out of these looks.

Whitney Port wore a black georgette Moschino Spring 2010 dress with front twist detail and a poufy skirt.

Writer Candace Bushnell opted for a crystal embellished look from the Miu Miu Spring 2010 collection with Miu Miu glitter-embellished platform sandals.

Padma Lakshmi wore a Naeem Khan Fall 2008 sleeveless white peony-embroidered flared dress.

This was originally presented as a dress with fur cuffed sleeves.

Lebanese actress Raya Meddine – who appears in the SATC 2 movie – wore a black Rami Kashou Spring 2010 silk organza pleated rose gown.

Keri Hilson wore this same dress to the NAACP Image Awards earlier this year.

I love how Raya let her dress do all the talking.

Michelle Trachtenberg wore a red hot Notte by Marchesa strapless lace dress with draped chiffon overlay.

Amanda Peet opted for a very casual “I’m just popping down to the Mall look”, wearing an Isabel Marant printed dress and khaki jacket. Prada heels completed her look.

Vanessa Williams was gorgeous in a purple draped dress, whilst Melania Trump wore a Catherine Malandrino ruffled mini dress with nude Louboutin’s.

Jessica Szohr arrived at the 2010 Costume Institute Gala tonight wearing Atelier Versace.

Her nude silk tulle halter-neck gown was covered in floral black embroidery.

My first reaction was that I didn’t like it, but it’s grown on me very quickly as she’s working it plus I love the colour against her caramel skin.

Her hair and make-up however is flawless.

Love it or leave it?

“Gossip Girl” actress Jessica Szohr wore this stunning Christian Dior Spring 2009 floor length gown to the “Costume Institute Gala” in New York last year.

I love the edgy structured leather bodice of this dress, with the contrasting floaty chiffon skirt.

Rumer Willis wore the same dress earlier this year to the “The Art of Elysium’s 3rd Annual Gala Heaven Event” in LA.

I don’t like this dress on Rumer at all, as it does nothing for her body shape, so Jessica wins this for me by default as I don’t think either do justice to this amazing gown.
