Red Carpet Fashion Awards

American Ballet Theatre 2013 Opening Night Fall Gala

Crystal Renn wasn’t the only one to make a glamorous entrance at the American Ballet Theatre 2013 Opening Night Fall Gala. The event, which was held at the David Koch Theatre at Lincoln Center in New York City yesterday evening, saw its red carpet adorned with many glamorous gowns. Here’s a look at the rest of the attendees.

Jessica Stam: The model walked the red carpet in a long-sleeved black Valentino Fall 2013 gown with a pointed white collar. While the neckline may seem a little buttoned-up, the all-over floral embroidery, which even found its way along the sheer bodice and sleeves, gave the dress a light, airy-fairy quality. Perhaps taking cues from said mood, Jessica wore muted makeup and her hair in a sweet schoolgirl-esque braided updo.

Sigourney Weaver: Going the overtly eye-catching route, the actress donned a green sequined Badgley Mischka gown that — long sleeves aside — showed off a little more skin, thanks to its plunging wrap-front style. Sigourney kept her hair casual, only a pair of delicate gold earrings to this already very sparkly look.

Nicky Hilton: The socialite may have a thing for Valentino gowns, and that’s not a bad thing. This time around, she chose a pointed-collar, blue-on-nude lace Valentino Fall 2013 creation, which she paired with a matching jeweled blue Valentino clutch. To complement the dress’s elegance, she wore her hair swept back and went with thick black eye-liner.

Models @ 2013 CFDA Fashion Awards

Some of our favourite cat-walkers were among the mix of style royalty at the 2013 CFDA Fashion Awards at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall in New York City. The models definitely had their moment last night, strutting out a slew of bold-name designers and even bolder looks to match.

Adriana Lima: Donning a leggy and luxe Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy Fall 2013 confection, this Brazilian beauty did justice to the edgy designer—who was the CFDA International Award Winner—even with black bloomers peeking through the gown. A center-parted ‘do and glowing makeup finished the look. Fellow model Joan Smalls rocked a similar Givenchy sheer design at the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala. Who do you think wore it best?

Miranda Kerr: This model mom made waves with a retro-modern frock by Proenza Schouler. The square neckline and fit-and-flare shape were nothing if not fun and provided the perfect palette for the trippy, painterly cerulean and verdigris hues. More sophistication came with a classic pair of black, triple ankle-wrap Stuart Weitzman heels, Jennifer Meyer jewels and a silver Stuart Weitzman clutch, along with a fuchsia lippie and low bun.

Joan Smalls: The lovely Latina wore a breezy white, strapless Givenchy gown. The matte white panel on the bottom created a sort of casual, sundress feel. But upon closer inspection, it was anything but beach-y with a corseted bodice and sheer lace-embellished skirt. The glittering choker-necklace added a daring, darker note.

Jessica Stam In Oscar de la Renta - Social Innovation Summit May 2013

Jessica Stam attended the Social Innovation Summit May 2013 in New York City on Thursday.

At 27-years-old she maybe old in model years, however, I feel this Oscar de la Renta Resort 2014 dress is way too mature for her.

I can picture this Bordeaux bowtie tweed and ivory cotton guipure dress on Anna Wintour or Princess Charlene of Monaco, which isn’t such a bad thing as both ladies are stylish, however, they are considerably older than Jessica.

The length is not helping.

Supermodels took to the red carpet at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City yesterday evening for the Angel Ball 2012.

Natasha Poly: The supermodel looked stunning in a bright orange Roberto Cavalli long-sleeve embroidered gown. Silver strappy sandals, a simple ponytail, chandelier earrings and sultry smoky eyes completed her look.

Crystal Renn: No prizes for guessing that the model wore a Zac Posen gown. Her Spring 2012 fitted berry gown was styled with Lorraine Schwartz statement earrings. I love the colour combination of the aqua and the berry, but the earrings themselves are very gaudy.

Irina Shayk: The model selected a black Roberto Cavalli halter gown with sparkling embellishments and a keyhole detail. Those emerald earrings are to die for.

Jessica Stam: The model was part of team Cavalli, wearing a cream halter gown with gold studded and sequin details. A cream clutch and sizzling jewels completed her look.

Jessica Stam took to the red carpet at the amfAR Benefit Gala in Milan this weekend, joining Solange Knowles, Sharon Stone and Livia Firth.

The supermodel sparkled in a white Dsquared² Fall 2012 dress with the designer standing either side of her.

Her strapless white dress with exaggerated hips and a sweetheart neckline was decorated with cascading crystal embellishments.

Even with all that embellishment, Jessica still opted for a huge statement necklace, diamond-encrusted bracelets on both wrists and glittery silver crystal-embellished Dsquared² pumps.

I love Jessica’s slicked-back hairstyle and that pop of red lippie. This is how I wish Emma Watson would style her hair and makeup last night.

Minka Kelly was the first celeb to debut the Versus Spring 2012 collection on the red carpet when she attended the GQ 2011 Men of the Year Awards back in November.

The beautiful brunette actress teamed her sporty dress with a disappointing pair of black pumps.

Jessica Stam didn’t fare much better in the shoe department when she wore the same dress last month to Coach’s Summer Party.

She does however score vital points on her vibrant pink Coach shoulder bag which matched her nail polish and lip colour.

For her pops of pink Jessica wins for me.
