Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Jessica Pare

Jessica Paré stunned at the red carpet for the 2014 Met Gala on Monday (May 5) in New York City.

As usual looking tres chic, the ‘Mad Men’ beauty wore a Michael Kors custom strapless black gown with white floral threadwork and sequin embroidery. The dress was structured at the top and flowed effortlessly at the bottom.

She paired it with black sandals (not pictured), a black clutch, sparkling bracelets and gorgeous, statement earrings.

To round up the look, Pare wore her hair up in a simple, yet chic bun with rosy cheeks and bright pink lips.

I loved the fact that she chose to skip the necklace and let the dress and her gorgeous neckline do the work. I think Don Draper would approve, do you?

Jessica Pare In Antonio Berardi - ‘Mad Men’ Season 7 LA Premiere

Jessica Pare joined January Jones, Kiernan Shipka and Christina Hendricks for the Season 7 premiere of ‘Mad Men’ held at the ArcLight Cinemas on Wednesday (April 2) in Hollywood, California.

Working a high-fashion look, the actress donned an Antonio Berardi Pre-Fall 2014 one-sleeved frock cut from green iridescent cloqué fabric at the front and black crepe fabric at the back ensuring a super-flattering fit.

I love the detailing, including the sexy bustier and silver zipper detail snaking down her body from the neckline to the thigh.

Slicking her hair up into a super-high ponytail, she styled her look with feline eyes, pretty pink lips, diamond-encrusted Stephen Webster earrings and black patent Christian Louboutin ‘Iriza’ pumps.

2014 PaleyFest - "Mad Men"Jessica Pare’s ethereal waves were styled by LA based hairstylist, Marcus Francis for the PaleyFest 2014 Honouring ‘Mad Men’ event.

Here are his tips on how this classic look can easily be created at home with the same steps and products used on Pare.

Francis says, “On damp hair, mist roots with Suave Volumizing Root Boost Spray.

Once combed through, apply several pumps of Suave Natural Infusion Leave-In Foam, focusing on the mid shaft and ends.” This will add body to tresses and leaves curls feeling soft and weightless.

Francis recommends that you dry hair and smooth strands with a medium size round brush.

“Make a deep side part and using a 3/4″ curling iron, wrap small sections of hair from roots to ends and pin into a pin curl. On both sides brush hair back behind the ear and curl the ends to keep the fullness in the back.”

To lock curls in place, “Use the Touchable Finish Extra Hold Aerosol Hairspray by Suave and let the hair set for 10 minutes in pins before brushing out.

After lightly teasing the top and front brush hair back to blend into the sides.”

“A bobby pin placed vertically behind each ear will secure the hair in place. Smooth out any fly aways with a small amount of the Suave Natural Infusion Awapuhi Strengthening Light Leave-In Cream.”

And voila! You’re instantly a ‘Mad Men’ beauty.

Jessica Pare In Roksanda Ilincic - PaleyFest 2014 Honouring 'Mad Men'Jessica Pare was also at the PaleyFest 2014, in support of ‘Mad Men,’ hosted at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California on Friday (March 21), along with Kiernan Shipka and Elisabeth Moss.

The actress was beautiful in a Roksanda Ilincic Pre-Fall 2014 dusky-blue, herringbone-print dress.

The designer’s signature sculptural silhouette and use of bold colours were dramatized here via the artsy pop of citrus-orange that peeked through the half-wrap fold on the side.

Her raven-hued locks, swept back into retro-style waves, were only enhanced by the blue tones of the frock, whilst a coral lip referenced the bright melon shades.

While I understand her philosophy in letting the dress take centre stage, opting for neutral accessories, I’m not quite sold on the nude coloration of her handbag and Christian Louboutin ‘So Kate’ pumps. However, they’re still worlds above the lookbook’s sneakers.

Anita Ko Chain earrings completed her look.

L'Wren Scott for Banana Republic Collection Launch Party

To celebrate the launch of its latest collaboration, Banana Republic hosted a star-studded party at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Los Angeles, California yesterday evening.

The mass retailer teamed up with designer L’Wren Scott on a limited-edition, 50-piece capsule collection. With holiday in mind, the lineup not only reflects Scott’s eye for tailoring and colorful prints, but it also features a bit more seasonally-appropriate sparkle and shine too. Notably, sequin-encrusted cardigans, lace and metallic cocktails dresses, faux-fur accented pieces, and a beaded lipstick-print foldover clutch. This may just be Banana Republic’s most glamorous collaboration yet, and for Scott, it’s her first stint working with a major global retailer.

Jessica Paré: The ‘Mad Men’ actress wore a L’Wren Scott for Banana Republic lips-print blouse tucked into a L’Wren Scott garnet red crepe pencil skirt with gold lacquer buttons, which she styled with a matching red sequin cardigan, red lipstick, and a black pumps. The cardigan was a distracting touch, but nonetheless, one that goes away as soon as it’s taken off.

Christina Hendricks: Following Jessica’s lead, the fellow ‘Mad Men’ star also donned the L’Wren Scott for Banana Republic red sequin cardigan over a L’Wren Scott black signature pencil skirt with gold stitching details and one of the collaboration’s peony-printed blouses. She accessorized with yellow metallic pumps, a black Oroton box clutch, and soft rosy makeup.

L’Wren Scott: The designer wore a black velvet and jersey lacquer button skirt with a coordinating black jet-and-thread embroidered cardigan from her main label, but didn’t stop there. To inject a burst of colour and texture, she styled the pieces with a L’Wren Scott for Banana Republic peony-printed chiffon blouse, velvet bow jacket, and royal blue velvet bow heels.

Of the three beauties dressed in L’Wren Scott for Banana Republic, whose styling do you prefer best?

Bella Heathcote: The star wore a white ruffle-neck, A-line dress from the Chloé Spring 2013 collection; then, paired it with Aldo x Preen ‘Fanni’ black leather ankle boots. Her dark crimson lip added a hint of seasonal drama to the look.

Maria Sharapova: The tennis player chose a mint-hued Chloé Fall 2013 wool-drill dress, which cut just above the knee and featured both a higher collar and pronounced shoulder pads. To finish, she accessorized with gold hoop earrings, rings by W. Britt Joan Hornig, a gold-jeweled box clutch, and patent nude pointy-toe pumps.

Rachel Bilson: The ‘Hart of Dixie’ actress dressed in all Chloé pieces, opting to style a crisp white embroidered cotton shirt with one of the long pin-striped skirts from the label’s Resort 2014 collection. Her Chloé black-and-metallic shoulder bag with a gold-chain strap, along with her long straight locks, completed the ensemble.
