Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Salma Hayek first wore this commercial dress from the Alexander McQueen Spring 2012 collection when she attended the Alexander McQueen Spring 2012 presentation during Paris Fashion Week.

The coral frock was styled with a black belt, an Alexander McQueen Spring 2012 black ‘Sedna’ clutch and some simple black heels.

Interestingly enough, Olympic gold medalist Jessica Ennis chose not only the exact same dress, but styled it strikingly similar as well for ‘Athletics Night’ in London last week.

Jessica accessorized her jersey skater-skirt dress with a black belt, matching pumps and an Omega timepiece.

Small gold hooped earrings, a pretty pink lip colour and simple updo provided the finishing touches.

Even though I think both celebs could have done a little something extra to spruce up this dress for the red carpet, Jessica’s simpler approach works for me.

We would like a threepeat of this dress on the red carpet to see how this coral frock would look without the black accessories.

Olympic gold medal-winning Heptathlete Jessica Ennis attended ‘Athletics Night’ presented by Omega House in London yesterday evening.

The Face of the 2012 London Olympic Games continues her run of wearing British designers. On this occasion, she wore a pretty Alexander McQueen Spring 2012 dress.

Her pretty coral jersey skater-skirt dress was styled with simple accessories including a black belt, black pumps and an Omega timepiece.

With her honey locks swept into a side bun she completed her look with small gold hooped earrings a pink lip colour.

This is the second time we have seen this dress on the red carpet, both times with black accessories. I would love to see this dress styled another way.

How would you style this look?

Victoria Beckham wasn’t the only Beckham causing a buying frenzy in London this week.

David Beckham was in town to promote his David Beckham Bodywear for H&M collaboration on Wednesday.

The collection, which went on sale in store and online yesterday, features nine underwear styles for men with a focus on fit, function, comfort and design and comprising of briefs, boxers, vests, T-shirts, pyjamas and long johns.

Funny, then, that the majority of the people in the queue were women. I guess they queued for three hours to buy the bodywear for their sons, brothers and other halves.
