‘The Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ London Premiere Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

‘The Avengers Age Of Ultron’ London Premiere Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

A trio of handsome counterparts joined Scarlett Johansson and Elizabeth Olsen for ‘The Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ premiere at Westfield on Tuesday (April 21) in London, England.

Chris Hemsworth: The actor, who was BDOTW last week, was looking mighty fine again in a azure Calvin Klein Spring 2015 two-button notch lapel suit that nearly matched his eyes. I loved the striking yet simple pop of the Calvin Klein Spring 2015 royal-purple silk tie and stark white dress shirt. Brown Christian Louboutin ‘Greggo’ loafers rounded out the ensemble.

Chris Evans: Opting for a darker colour palette, Chris wore a Gucci three-piece plaid suit with a striped baby-blue button-down and brown tie. I wish the shirt had been a solid white in this case, but I do love that he seems to be wearing bright magenta socks.

Jeremy Renner: He and Chris Hemsworth were near mirror images of each other with similarly hued blue suits and the same Christian Louboutin ‘Greggo’ shoes. jeremy wore his look with a black dress shirt and tonal blue tie, avoiding complete matchy-matchy territory. However, I favour Chris’s lighter approach on this occasion.

‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ LA Premiere Menswear Roundup

‘Avengers Age Of Ultron’ LA Premiere Menswear Roundup

The ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Los Angeles premiere wasn’t without its own group of superhero studs who walked the red carpet at Dolby Theatre on Monday (April 13) in Hollywood, California.

Chris Evans: The actor didn’t disappoint in his Gucci blue-and-white seersucker
‘Dylan’ suit paired with a white dress shirt, blue patterned tie, and blue and grey pocket square. Seersucker always holds a special place in my heart for its crisp, casual flair and comfortable vibe, and this was an exceptional rendition of the breezy style.

Jeremy Renner
: Taking his look to more dark and handsome territory, Jeremy was as suave as ever in a classic Dolce & Gabbana three-piece tux that fit him like a glove.

Chris Hemsworth: Like Chris Evans, this Chris also embraced a lighter suit, his a Salvatore Ferragamo two-button soft beige-and-blue plaid rendition matched with brown loafers and a dark tie. I wasn’t quite as charmed as with the seersucker suit, but this is a polished look nevertheless.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

men 10 oct

Here is a look at two smart gents who took to the red carpet yesterday evening (October 9).

Ansel Elgort: The young actor joined Kaitlyn Dever for the ‘Men, Women & Children’ London premiere. This is taking it up a level. Working a strong graphic-print look from Dior Homme, I love those black calfskin strapped derbies with black and white rubber soles which give this look the cool flourish it deserved. Very well played.

Jeremy Renner: The ‘Bourne Legacy’ actor joined Mary Elizabeth Winstead on the red carpet for the ‘Kill The Messenger’ New York screening wearing a more classic look from Dolce & Gabbana. The pinstriped midnight-blue three-piece suit with a petrol-blue tie is tailored to perfection to allow Jeremy to stand out in the most sophisticated way possible.

Who Wore Dior Homme Better…Jeremy Renner or Anton Yelchin?

Who Wore Dior Homme Better Jeremy Renner or Anton Yelchin

It’s not often we have a menswear Who Wore It Better; however, on this rare occasion we have Jeremy Renner and Anton Yelchin wearing the same Dior Homme Spring 2014 suit.

Jeremy first wore his Dior Homme deep-blue wool notch-lapel tuxedo styled with a white cotton shirt, black silk tie and black patent-leather derbies to the ‘American Hustle’ LA screening back in December.

Anton opted to ditch the tie while attending the ‘For The Love of Cinema’ dinner back in April

Both look very smart; however, going tieless gave this unique suit an edge, so Anton wins for me.

Film Independent Spirit Awards 2014 Menswear Roundup

Film Independent Spirit Awards 2014 Menswear Roundup 1With a myriad of menswear looks on the blue carpet, the guys mostly nixed the standard black suit in favour of more colourful options at the 2014 Film Independent Spirit Awards at Santa Monica Beach in Santa Monica, California yesterday (March 1). Not that I was complaining.

Matthew McConaughey: Taking his flashy jackets to another level, the ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ actor and Best Male Lead winner wore an allover metallic bronze three-piece suite by Dolce & Gabbana. Skipping the tie, an unbuttoned black button-down shirt had nothing on those attention-grabbing, cobalt-blue Tod’s shoes. Do you like the razzle-dazzle here?

Jared Leto: Like Matthew, Jared picked up a win for his work in ‘Dallas Buyers Club.’ The actor-musician was dressed in his standard rocker-grunge edge wearing separates including a black leather biker Balmian Homme jacket and black skinny jeans. Of course, a shirt was tied around his waist—this time, a red plaid Saint Laurent one—and he topped off the look with a black-and-white striped scarf and black Giuseppe Zanotti combat boots.

Michael B Jordan: The always-sharp dresser didn’t disappoint in his cream-coloured Dolce & Gabbana suit, paired with a quirky printed button-down shirt, a black pocket square, black brogues and a rose-gold Piaget watch. The ‘Fruitvale Station’ actor always manages to combine sartorial polish with a punch of attitude.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Mens 27 Feb

Here is a quick menswear roundup.

Adrien Brody: Joining Saoirse Ronan on the red carpet for’The Grand Budapest Hotel’ New York premiere on Wednesday (February 26), Adrien made quite a splash on the red carpet wearing a shiny Dolce & Gabbana three-piece red suit with an open white shirt and black shoes. It’s not often we see men don this colour on the red carpet, but if one man can pull off a shiny red suit, it’s Adrien Brody.

Michael B. Jordan: The actor attended the Vanity Fair and FIAT Celebration of ‘Young Hollywood’ on Tuesday (February 25) wearing a perfectly fitted Dior Homme two-button notch-lapel Prince of Wales check suit, a grey-and-blue windowpane-plaid check shirt and a navy-blue-and-burgundy pinstripe wool tie. All the elements work, blending together to create yet another BDOTW-worthy look.

Jeremy Renner: On Saturday (February 22) Jeremy attended the Costume Designer Guild Awards, where the actor wore an Ermenegildo Zegna Couture classic tuxedo while presenting an award to Amy Adams. There’s nothing quirky about this outfit, and that’s okay. Opting for a classic tux is sometimes the best way to go.
