Jennifer Nettles In Halston Heritage, Max Mara & Katharine Kidd – 2014 CMT Music Awards

Jennifer Nettles In Halston Heritage & Katharine Kidd - CMT Music Awards

Jennifer Nettles attended the 2014 CMT Music Awards held at the Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday (June 4) in Nashville, Tennessee.

Shunning the expected gown, the singer donned a Halston Heritage black sequin-embellished top with white wide-leg Max Mara trousers, which she styled with an ASOS belt.

Carrera y Carrera jewels plus a Neil Lane bracelet rounded out her look.

I love how sleek, modern and effortless this look is. One of the best of the night.

Jennifer Nettles In Philip Armstrong & Elisabetta Franchi – ‘American Idol’ Season 13 Grand Finale

Jennifer Nettles In Phillip Armstrong - ‘American Idol’ Season 13 Grand Finale

Jennifer Nettles was one of the guest performers on the ‘American Idol’ Season 13 grand finale held at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Wednesday (May 21) in Los Angeles, California.

Red Carpet: Going the JLo route, short and sparkly, the singer wore a black sequined and embroidered Philip Armstrong dress styled with Jimmy Choo dual-colour pumps, with jewels courtesy of M.C.L. by Matthew Campbell Laurenza.

Performance: For her performance the singer wore an Elisabetta Franchi Spring 2014 white blouse with crystal-embroidered detail paired with black Goldsign trousers featuring red and white floral embroidery. Jimmy Choo shoes and jewelry courtesy of Neil Lane and Graziela Gems completed her look.

I’m not a fan of the first look, but I love the second. It’s a little bit country, a little bit rock n’ roll.

Jennifer Nettles In Naeem Khan – 2013 CMA Awards

Jennifer Nettles In Naeem Khan - 2013 CMA Awards

Jennifer Nettles stunned while taking to the red carpet for the 47th annual CMA Awards held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee yesterday evening.

The ‘Sugarland’ singer donned one of my favourite designers, Naeem Khan, selecting a crystal-and-mirror-beaded V-front gown with a heavenly blush tulle skirt from the designer’s Resort 2014 collection.

Robert Clergerie shoes and Neil Lane jewels accessorized her look, with her wavy tresses styled into a simple side-swept updo.

Jennifer Nettles In Edition by Georges Chakra – 2013 Billboard Music Awards

Jennifer Nettles In Edition by Georges Chakra - 2013 Billboard Music Awards

Jennifer Nettles returned to the red (ahem, blue) carpet of the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, hosted this evening at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

For her presenter duties, the Sugarland singer and new mom selected an Edition by Georges Chakra Spring 2013 gown.

This figure-hugging, cotton-candy-pink creation probably would not have been my first pick for her to make her svelte and glowing return. The gown’s pastel hue is a hard one to manage and, when photographed, it gave off a satin sheen that I didn’t love.

As for the glitzy sequin embellishment, it all translated as a bit too garish for my taste. Actually, it sent me straight to pageant-land.

A Swarovski clutch, Casadei heels and gorgeous Norman Silverman chunky statement rings and earrings provided a final sparkling flourish.

Who Wore Valentino Better? Jennifer Nettles or Jessica Szohr

Back in June last year, Jennifer Nettles wore a Valentino Pre-Fall 2011 dress to the 2011 CMT Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee.

The singer paired her leather-and-lace dress with an asymmetrical neckline with black strappy sandals.

Former ‘Gossip Girl‘ star Jessica Szohr wore the same dress to the Valentino Rodeo Drive flagship store opening in Beverly Hills in March.

With her jet-black hair pulled back in a ponytail, she completed her look with dangling earrings, an onyx cocktail ring and black studded Valentino slingbacks.

I prefer the dress with the looser-fitted A-line skirt, so Jessica wins for me.

Jennifer Nettles In Max Azria – 2012 Academy of Country Music Awards

Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles hit the red carpet for the 2012 Academy of Country Music Awards, which were held on Sunday in Las Vegas, Nevada, with bandmate Kristian Bush.

The singer looked sensational wearing a neon-pink custom-made Max Azria gown.

Her breathtaking gown with lace inserts and a flowing skirt was accented with a yellow beaded waistband.

A red Edie Parker clutch and ruby earrings accessorized her look.

Flawless makeup, a sweeping updo and a gorgeous pink lip colour provided the finishing touches.

Jennifer was a very close second to Taylor Swift for best dressed at this event.

Jennifer Nettles In Naeem Khan – 2011 CMA Awards

Jennifer Nettles glided down the red carpet at the 2011 CMA Awards in Nashville, Tennessee last night.

She was radiant wearing a Naeem Khan Fall 2011 gown.

Her pistachio silk-chiffon sleeveless column gown has a blouson bodice and tulip skirt which drapes beautifully off her hips.

The delicate and tasteful crystal paisley beading is why I love Naeem Khan’s work.

A Kotur clutch, kohl-rimmed eyes, drop earrings and an ombre updo completed her look.

Who Wore Mark Fast Better? Kylie Minogue or Jennifer Nettles

Kylie Minogue performed on ‘The Paul O’Grady’ show back in September last year wearing this colourful Mark Fast Spring 2011 dress.

The figure-hugging dress features tiny cut-outs on the bodice with a rainbow-coloured fringed skirt.

Kylie looked gorgeous in her outfit which she paired with black peep-toe ankle booties, red nails and smoky eye makeup.

Sugarland singer Jennifer Nettles wore the same dress whilst performing at The Greek Theatre in LA last month.

The country singer styled her look very differently to Kylie’s, accessorizing with a white fedora with black trimmings, black leggings and motorcycle boots.

My vote is going to Kylie because I think the dress has enough excitement going on that it needs very little added to it.

Jennifer’s look feels too all over the place for my liking and I don’t think the hat and boots coordinate very well with the style of the dress.
