Jennifer Lopez In Valentino – World of Dance

On Tuesday (May 30) the premiere of ‘World of Dance’ aired on NBC with judge and executive producer Jennifer Lopez in the hot seat.

I have always been a fan of Jennifer Lopez’ style until it veers down a twee or thirsty avenue, but she was serving up sultry elegance wearing a Valentino Spring 2017 dress styled with nude Louboutins and H.Stern jewels.

I love the hint of latin flare imbued in the skirt; I can imagine it coming alive if Jennifer was to hit the dancefloor herself and perform the salsa or the rumba.

The flame red lip only adds to the intensity of this look.

Jennifer Lopez In Elie Saab Couture – 2017 NBCUniversal Upfront

Jennifer Lopez joined Kim Kardashian on the red carpet for the 2017 NBCUniversal Upfront on Monday (May 15) in New York City following her date night with A-Rod.

What I love about Jennifer is that she can go from music awards vixen, to Jenny from the block to Jennifer Lopez the actress seamlessly.

I guarantee you that not many selected this Elie Saab Spring 2017 Couture look for the actress, but I love how she infused her own brand of sultry glamour into this luxurious piece.

The colour is divine against her olive skin plus the matchy accessories helps enhance the softness of the look further.

Jennifer Lopez In Elie Saab – Out In New York

Jennifer Lopez enjoyed a night out in New York with her famed beau Andy Rodriguez in an ethereal, flowing look from Elie Saab’s Fall 2017 collection.

Casually worn underneath a chic, taupe overcoat and topped with an updo, the look (specifically next to the always polished A-Rod) is what New York A-List dreams are made of.

Jennifer’s selection from this particular Elie Saab offering is one that stands out more than most. The Fall 2017 collection from Saab was one of his very best, deeply romantic and sexy in a way that translates as wearable and intelligent.

Jennifer famously has the figure to bring femininity to anything of course but Elie Saab may be a designer she should incorporate even more into her trademark style. It softens her while maintaining cutting edge appeal.

Who Wore Meshki Better? Jennifer Lopez or Ariel Winter?

Recently some of you informed me that Ariel Winter’s new style direction was inspired by her idols – the Kardashians – however, on this evidence it could actually be JLo.

Ariel wore this sexy, sheer embellished Meshki dress yesterday while making a guest appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’, just 5 days after Jennifer Lopez had worn it on the ‘Late Late Show with James Corden’.

When it comes to sheer dresses, there is no match for JLo – unless your name is Beyonce or Kim Kardashian of course – Lopez she wins for me.

2017 Met Gala After-Party

Katy Perry hosted the Met Gala after party at The Boom Boom at The Standard in New York City in the early hours of Tuesday morning (May 2).

Elle Fanning: The young actress donned her second Miu Miu look of the night. I love how the looks starts out minimal in hue and cut before gathering in pace below the waist with an explosion of multi-colour feathers and embellished Christian Louboutin ‘Body Strass’ pumps. I’m imagining this would’ve looked amazing as a gown for the main event.

Kate Bosworth: Since the majority of you disliked Kate’s Tory Burch red carpet look, I won’t be surprised if you wished she’d worn her Emilio Pucci Spring 2017 boldly hued frock to the main event. It certainly would’ve had a greater impact.

Katy Perry: It was Katy Perry’s party and she will dress as ridiculously as she wants too. My only surprise is that she didn’t wear Ulyana Sergeenko Fall 2016 Couture look with the runway helmet.

Jennifer Lopez In Valentino – 2017 Met Gala

I will be the first to admit I did a double-take upon seeing Jennifer Lopez at the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1) in New York City.

This could be more fabric than the entertainer has worn in all her previous looks combined.

Majorly dialing back the overt sex appeal that she favours by wearing this diaphanous Valentino gown, I have to applaud her for trying something new.

That said, I found this look to translate as the exact opposite of fashion-forward. Instead, it was rather dated—from its icy prom-blue colour, to J. Lo’s styling including the large diamond earrings, frosted lip, and half-up ’do.
