Jennifer Lopez In The Blonds & Zuhair Murad – 2013 Premios Juventud Awards

Jennifer Lopez In The Blonds & Zuhair Murad - 2013 Premios Juventud Awards

Jennifer Lopez turned up the heat in Miami with three sexy looks for the 2013 Premios Juventud Awards yesterday evening.

The singer opened the show wearing a sexy fiery-print bodysuit adorned with gold chains and a gold waistband, which was styled with flesh-coloured fishnet tights and nude lace-up shoes, when she performed a medley of her hits ‘On The Floor’, ‘Dance Again’ and ‘Don’t Stop the Party’ with frequent collaborator Pitbull. This is a classic JLo performance look: in your face, sexy and with very little fabric.

An emotional Jennifer collected two awards during the show, Icono Mundial (Icon Award) and Actriz Que se Roba la Pantalla (Actress Who Steals the Screen) award wearing a look by one of her favourite designers, Zuhair Murad. The gold sequin patterned dress from the Spring 2013 collection was styled with Giuseppe Zanotti silver metallic pumps. I wish she had opted for the gold pair.

For her second performance, Jennifer beat Kristen Stewart to the punch by wearing a look from Zuhair Murad’s Fall 2013 Couture collection. She donned a nude catsuit with black embroidery, which is once again a very typical JLo performance look; however, I wish she had worn her hair back with this look.

Jennifer Lopez for W Magazine August 2013

Jennifer Lopez W August 2013

With her hair in a darker hue than we are used to seeing, Jennifer Lopez donned a long-sleeved Gucci gown in a black net tulle with a heaven’s bird embroidered motif from the Fall 2013 collection for her W magazine August 2013 cover.

She talks to the mag about growing up in the Bronx, her relationship with her mother, and parenting.

Here are some extracts from her interview. You can read more over at or pick up the issue when it hits newstands July 16.

On being close to her childhood home in the Bronx for the interview: “The last time I was in there was when my mom and dad called us home to tell us they were separating after 33 years of marriage. I think that’s why I was nervous about coming here today. It’s like seeing someone from the past – you’re afraid to run into them because you never know if it’s going to be ‘wow’ or very difficult. This is a combination of both.”

On her and her mother’s relationship: “My mom and I butted heads. I didn’t want to go to college – I wanted to try dance full-time. I was homeless. But I told her ‘This is what I have to do.’”

On parenting her kids Max and Emme: “I think a lot about teaching my kids to work hard. I’ve learned something about kids – they don’t do what you say; they do what you do. I watched my parents.”

Who Wore Christian Dior Better..Ni Ni, Jennifer Lopez or Jun Ji-hyun?

16th Shanghai International Film Festival - Opening Ceremony & Red Carpet

Can you believe that in the space of two-and-a-half weeks, this Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2013 look has been worn three times?

Ni Ni was the first, wearing the white cashmere-and-silk knitted top with a coral hoop skirt featuring a rise-and-fall hemline to the Shanghai Film Festival opening ceremony.

The actress styled her look with gold pointy pumps.

A few days later Jennifer Lopez took to the Hollywood Walk of Fame wearing the same look with a horrendous choice of black ankle-strap pumps.

Cut to this week and the look had a third outing courtesy of Jun Ji-hyun at the Dior Fall 2013 Couture show.

The pretty South Korean actress added a white tulle underlay to give the skirt more volume, which was lacking in both Ni Ni’s and Jennifer’s looks, plus her styling was more complementary, with orange velvet pumps, a gold cuff and a silver clutch providing the finishing touches.

In Jun Ji-hyun’s case it was definitely third time’s a charm, so she wins for me.

Jennifer Lopez In Christian Dior – Hollywood Walk Of Fame Unveiling

Jennifer Lopez In Christian Dior - Hollywood Walk Of Fame Unveiling

Jennifer Lopez was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in Hollywood, California earlier today.

It was very much a family affair as her twins were there to witness the momentous occasion.

The diva wore a Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2013 look featuring a white cashmere and silk knitted top and with a coral hoop skirt with a rise-and-fall hemline.

It’s not really a look one would wear on Hollywood Boulevard on a Thursday afternoon, but when you’re a diva like JLo, there are no rules.

I have to say I find myself really liking the look. This was a big moment, so a grand look was required.

Appropriately she styled her look with H.Stern Stars stud earrings.

I can forgive the creases as she was both laying on the ground next to her star and playing with her kids; however, her Brian Atwood black ankle-strap pumps do not – I repeat, do not – get a pass.

Now, who’s going to be a dear and let JLo know that Ni Ni wore the exact same look on Saturday to the Shanghai Film Festival? Albeit with an inferior bra.

Jennifer Lopez In Tom Ford – 4th Annual amfAR Inspiration Gala New York

Jennifer Lopez In Tom Ford - 4th Annual amfAR Inspiration Gala New York

Jennifer Lopez was looking her divalicious best on the red carpet at The Plaza Hotel in New York City on Thursday evening for the 4th Annual amfAR Inspiration Gala New York.

The actress/singer showed off her gorgeous curves wearing an electric-blue sequined Tom Ford Spring 2011 high-neck gown, which she styled with a black Thalé Blanc ‘Talia Fasteux’ python clutch and Harry Winston jewels.

Giving her fiercest sexy face glare, JLo completed her look with neutral makeup and a slicked-back ponytail.

I haven’t been the biggest fan of Jennifer’s choices recently; however, this is more like the JLo I know and love.

The only thing that takes the gloss off this look somewhat is the fact that this dress has been worn twice before – by Lily Cole and Liberty Ross.

Jennifer Lopez In Gucci – ‘Chime For Change: The Sound Of Change Live’ Media Room

Jennifer Lopez In Gucci - ‘Chime For Change The Sound Of Change Live’ Media Room

After her performance at the ‘Chime For Change: The Sound Of Change Live’ Concert at Twickenham stadium on Saturday, where she wore a Falguni and Shane bodysuit, Jennifer Lopez was spotted in the media room wearing a totally different outfit.

On this occasion, she wore a Gucci Fall 2013 snakeskin skirt suit with a lace-panelled fitted peplum jacket.

Once again. I’m getting sexy JLo rather than desperate diva.

The styling was kept simple with a black clutch and Casadei ‘Blade’ heels.

For those of you thinking the look is tacky without a bra, check out the picture below where she is wearing a bra. It looks worse, so even as someone who is “pro-support”, this look works better as presented on the runway – sans bra.

Performers at The 'Chime For Change The Sound Of Change Live' Concert

The ‘Chime For Change: The Sound Of Change Live’ Concert at Twickenham Stadium in London is still going strong this evening with several acts already taking to the stage.

Florence Welch: The British singer was dressed in a custom Gucci teal column gown that was styled with a billowing jewel accented cape, which has become her signature.

John Legend: The singer, who like many of the stars at this event, is a Gucci devotee, wore an orange micro-dot Gucci double breasted navy suit from the brands Spring 2013 collection. Both Mr Hudson and Dwyane Wade have been spotted wearing this same suit.
