Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Nicole Kidman walked the red carpet in a gilded look at the 2013 Oscars, hosted at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.

A presenter for the evening, Nicole sparkled in a black and gold stunner by L’Wren Scott.

The formfitting silhouette showed off her curves in a way she doesn’t normally do on the red carpet…and it paid off. The square-cut neckline of the dress drew attention to the ornate Fred Leighton gold drop earrings, while an equally ornate design at the bottom of the mermaid cut dress mesmerized me when watching the red carpet.

Jennifer Hudson performed at the 2013 Oscars at the Dolby Theater on Sunday night, but before she did, she made a fashion-forward statement on the red carpet.

The singer/actress/spokeswoman wore a design from Roberto Cavalli Couture.

Jennifer looked stunning in an animal-like printed sequin gown that shimmered in a wide range of blue hues. The curve-hugging dress also wowed with a thigh-high center slit that showed off the singer’s blue peep-toe shoes. Jennifer further styled her dress with dramatic drop earrings and a blue, beaded cylindrical clutch.

I’m loving Jennifer’s all-blue look. Are you?

Stacy Keibler arrived on the arm of George Clooney at the 2013 Oscars, held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood this evening.

But the handsome actor’s stunning plus-one once again proved she’s a red carpet star.

Following the metallic trend, also seen on Naomi Watts and Halle Berry, Stacy upped the shine factor with a decadent Naeem Khan gown.

The sparkling gunmetal dress, designed to flatter every curve with its linear embellishment, glided flawlessly over her statuesque frame.

I loved the halter neckline here and the jet-black belt. But the gown’s sheer chiffon back was just as beautiful.

A retro-inspired, tucked-under updo with pin curls at the side added a dose of vintage glamour to this sleek, thoroughly modern look.

Giuseppe Zanotti shoes paired with Lorraine Schwartz jewels, including a pair of cascading earrings, completed this glittery, glamazon ensemble.

Jane Fonda looked positively electric at the 2013 Oscars tonight, hosted at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.

The ageless actress wore a canary yellow Atelier Versace long-sleeve gown paired with Jimmy Choo nude heels.

The bright lemon shade was an eye-catching addition to the red carpet, and there’s no question it was sizzling hot on her fit frame.

I cannot help but think of Eighties extravagance when I see this dress, what with its bold boost from the square shoulder pads and the razzle-dazzle of the linear gold embellishment at the waist.

Leave it to Versace (and to Jane) to turn up the volume.

A bejeweled metallic Jimmy Choo clutch and Chopard jewels, including gold checquerboard earrings, accented the waist-cinching detail. Jane’s snappy short hair and mauve lip completed this vivacious look.

As the youngest Academy Award nominee ever, Quvenzhane Wallis walked the red carpet at the 2013 Oscars on Sunday in Los Angeles.

The nine-year-old wore a navy tulle Giorgio Armani design embellished with black beading. Her princess-style dress was accessorized with a floor-grazing shaw, a sparkly headband, and drop earrings.

One of her more stand out accents was her puppy purse, which was designed after her own dog.

Catherine Zeta Jones put the Oscar himself to shame on the red carpet at the 2013 Oscars held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

The ‘Chicago’ star glittered in a stunning Zuhair Murad Spring 2013 Couture gown with gold art deco swirls.

Catherine long-ago mastered the art of looking sexy and classy simultaneously, and tonight, she doesn’t disappoint.

Dripping in Lorraine Schwartz jewels, gold and unadulterated sex appeal, the lovely star effortlessly wears a gown that could easily overpower a less confident woman.

Ultra long lashes are the most dramatic factor of her otherwise subtle makeup and simple, glossy waves keep the entire look in the easy glamour zone rather than moving into a more forced territory.
