Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Rooney Mara attended the 2012 AFI Awards which was held in Beverly Hills earlier today wearing a Lanvin Pre-Fall 2012 look.

This is a relatively flirty look, compared to her usual serious red carpet apparel.

Her bi-colour beige and black sleeveless top in satin duchesse was teamed with a black neoprene skirt and black matte waxed leather belt.

The outfit was minimally accessorized, per usual, with a simple pair of black Brian Atwood ‘Debra Due’ peep-toes.

On this occasion Rooney appears to be wearing a bit more makeup than we’re used to seeing, with dark liner highlighting her eyes.

Golden Globe nominee Viola Davis attended the 2012 AFI Awards in Beverly Hills this afternoon.

After wearing a lot of bright colours for her last few outings, Viola opted for a white David Meister Signature dress.

The white textured sheath dress with a slit neckline was paired with a black blazer.

I’m disappointed she opted to wear the blazer, but thankful she opted for some juicy red pumps by Sergio Rossi.

Chloe Moretz made her third consecutive awards show appearance in so many days, attending the 2012 AFI Awards in Beverly Hills this afternoon.

After mature Chanel look at the 2012 Critics’ Choice Awards last night, the teen actress opted for something more youthful on this occasion.

She wore a Versus Spring 2012 look which consisted of a yellow and black printed t-shirt paired with a pale yellow pleated skirt.

Her sporty, summery ensemble was bizarrely winterized with opaque black tights.

I say bizarre because it was quite a warm day in LA today, but I guess she wore them because of the short length of her skirt and the open pleats.

Versus black heels from the same collection complete the look.

Jessica Chastain hit the red carpet for the 2012 AFI Awards this afternoon in LA.

The actress tried out a mod look wearing a black sleeveless top and white knee-length skirt with black pocket details from the Andrew Gn Resort 2012 collection.

Her look was minimally styled with Christian Louboutin sling-backs and the same onyx earrings worn to the Critic’s Choice Awards yesterday evening.

Once again no clutch.

What does Jessica have against a nice clutch?

A chic ponytail with side swept bangs and neutral makeup completed her look.

Claire Danes made her first red carpet appearance of 2012 at the AFI Awards in LA this afternoon.

The actress who tends to favour clean lines and lady-like silhouettes didn’t stray too far from her comfort zone wearing a white Donna Karan Pre-Fall 2012 dress with a plunging neckline and flared skirt.

Her pristine white dress was accessorized with a large navy belt, which matched her blue suede shoes and Pomellato ‘Nudo’ London blue topaz earrings.

The ‘Homeland’ actress certainly looks prim, proper and event appropriate. Everything we’ve come to expect from her.

Sleek hair and bronzed makeup complete the look.

Octavia Spencer returned to the red carpet appearance for the second day in a row for the 2012 AFI Awards which took place in LA this afternoon.

The Critic’s Choice ‘Best Supporting Actress’ for ‘The Help’, wore yet another Tadashi Shoji dress, this time from the designer Spring 2011 collection.

She looked gorgeous her black and nude lace illusion v-neck cocktail dress with a black waistband. She making some inspiring choices on the red carpet and we love her for that so long may it continue.

As Octavia has been wearing her hair slicked back recently, it’s a refreshing change to see her hair down, particularly in such glamorous curls. This may be her best red carpet look thus far.

Black heels, a black clutch and large onyx cocktail ring provided the finishing touches to her chic daytime look.
