Jennifer Lawerence In Valentino Couture - 2013 People’s Choice Awards

Jennifer Lawrence took home the ‘Favourite Movie Actress’ Award at the 2013 People’s Choice Awards, held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live yesterday evening, which officially kicked off awards season.

The young actress started the year as she ended the last – failing to impress.

I had hoped the young star was just experimenting last year, but this Valentino Fall 2012 Couture dress does nothing for her, except age her somewhat.

At this point I’m starting to believe her team is trying to take her down the Rooney Mara route, because I can picture her pulling off this look.

Where is the playful, fresh Jennifer of early 2012?

The only plus side for me is that her hair appears lighter.

Nicholas Kirkwood diamond-encrusted black satin pumps and Cartier jewels completed her look.

Jennifer Lawrence made a guest appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which airs in the US today, looking very much like the young starlet she is.

Dressed in a refreshingly colourful Stella McCartney short-sleeved swirl-print dress, I’m starting to breathe a sigh of relief.

Her last two looks have both been fresh, fun and youthful; long may this continue.

I think I will lose it if she wears another black Dior look.

I’m also coming around to this darker hair colour. Are you?

I was excited to see this picture of Jennifer Lawrence on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’, which aired in the US yesterday evening, mostly because she wasn’t wearing an aging look or a look by Dior.

The actress, who was on the show to promote her latest movie ‘Silver Linings Playbook’, wore a T by Alexander Wang Spring 2013 dress.

Her grey stretch-jersey t-shirt dress is simple enough, but it’s amazing how she finally looks like her old – young – self again.

The best part of this look for me is her Alexandre Birman snakeskin cut-out booties and her decision to keep the zipper closed, plus her Pomellato ‘Tango’ bracelet adds a nice touch.

Wavy raven locks and glossy lips completed her look.

Jennifer Lawrence attended a special screening of her latest movie, ‘Silver Linings Playbook’, held at the AMPAS Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, California yesterday evening.

The young actress wore another look from the Christian Dior Spring 2013 collection. Quelle surprise.

She wore a black satin a-line jacket as a dress, which was accented with a gold waistband.

I don’t hate this look like the previous one. The overall look is more chic and less Housewives of Orange County, but I’m still bored.

Bored by the predictability and the lack of colour, save for her Pomellato ‘M’ama Non M’ama’ red tourmaline rose-gold earrings and the pink heel of her Dior pumps.

Nude lips, kohl-rimmed eyes, a Roger Vivier ‘Paint Box’ clutch and a simple bun completed her look.

Are you already bored of Jennifer as the face of Dior, or do you like her new style?

Back in September, during New York Fashion Week, a little birdie told me that Jennifer Lawrence had changed her stylists since ‘The Hunger Games’ promo tour.

I think this is screamingly evident, because the girl who turned up wearing a black Christian Dior Spring 2013 suit to the ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ New York premiere at Florence Gould Hall in New York City yesterday evening is not the same bombshell who stunned in a gold Prabal Gurung gown to kick-start the year.

There is not a single thing I like about the look.

Her hair is horrendous, from the style – or lack thereof – to the two-tone colour… please return to being blonde immediately!

This looks like it was styled by one of the women from the Real Housewives franchise.

The suit is uninspiring to say the very least. I may have forced myself to like it had she not worn the scarf, which ages the look.

I was initially intrigued by the fact that Jennifer will be the new face of Dior, but on the back of her last look and this look, I’m afraid. Very afraid.

Van Cleef & Arpels jewels and a pink Dior clutch completed her look.
