Jessica Alba In Kenzo – 2015 Met Gala

Jessica Alba In Kenzo - 2015 Met Gala

Jessica Alba was one of the many fashionable stars to attend the 2015 Met Gala in New York City tonight (May 4).

For the grand affair, Jessica wore a Kenzo gown, paired with a Kenzo tiger paw clutch and Kenzo sandals.

While I certainly see how this gown fits into the night’s theme, unfortunately it just doesn’t seem to fit Jessica’s body. It really feels a bit too big for her petite frame, and I feel some alterations might completely change my feelings about this look–because right now, it’s pretty ‘meh’.

I do love the editorial nature of the paw clutch, and as usual, Jessica’s makeup is perfectly bronzed and totally on-point. I also love that she’s gone a bit left field from her norm with a shimmery pastel eyeshadow.

Alicia Keys In Jean Paul Gaultier Couture – 2015 Met Gala

Alicia Keys In Jean Paul Gaultier Couture - 2015 Met Gala

Alicia Keys attended the ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’ 2015 Met Gala hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4).

The songstress wore a Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2015 Couture confection marked by the contrast between a sharply tailored dark-blue blazer and cropped bra top and the frothiness of a sheer tulle, tiered princess skirt.

She kept the architectural topknot trend of the evening going strong with her sculpted version, finishing the look with sapphire statement jewels.

I’m puzzled as to the reason behind the dark leggings.

Did this look have enough Chinese influence for you, or were you completely missing the theme here?

Kate Beckinsale In Diane von Furstenberg – 2015 Met Gala

Kate Beckinsale In Diane von Furstenberg - 2015 Met Gala

Kate Beckinsale turned heads on the red carpet of the 2015 Met Gala tonight (May 4) in New York City.

The star wore a gold draped Diane von Furstenberg gown with black strappy Christian Louboutin shoes and Carrera y Carrera jewels.

While I have to say that this dress just barely hits on the night’s theme, it is absolutely made for Kate’s body. The draping is to die for, and the color is really stunning on her.

Also stunning? That hair! Curls upon curls upon perfectly flawless curls are enough to make any women run to the salon to get extensions, and her radiant skin and berry lipstick are excellent paired with the metallic look.

Emily Blunt In Prada – 2015 Met Gala

Emily Blunt In Prada - 2015 Met Gala

Emily Blunt hit the red carpet of the 2015 Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City tonight (May 4).

Emily certainly took the China: Through the Looking Glass theme to heart with her custom Prada gown and cape, which she paired with a navy Prada clutch and stunning Anna Hu earrings.

While I have been thoroughly enjoying the dramatic cape moments we’ve been having on the red carpet in the past year or so, I’m sad to say that this one does absolutely nothing for me. I think it is just too much of the floral embroidery for me. I love the dress, and I love the shape of the cape, but I think if it was solid navy without the florals, I would be much more excited about the total effect.

Emily’s makeup game is on point, with her radiant skin and raspberry lip, and the colors of the gown really complement her skin beautifully.

Maggie Gyllenhaal In Roland Mouret – 2015 Met Gala

Maggie Gyllenhaal In Roland Mouret - 2015 Met Gala

Maggie Gyllenhaal also took to the 2015 Met Gala red carpet in New York City this evening (May 4).

For the grand fashion occasion, Maggie wore a Roland Mouret gown and Roland Mouret Palais Royal clutch. Bold gold earrings and few delicate bracelets and rings are the perfect accessories for the look.

The asymmetrical straps, the banded bodice, the peekaboo cut-out and the sash belt–there is so much intrigue and visual appeal to this dress that I seriously think I could stare at it for days. Maggie’s style is so down-to-earth and approachable, and this dress is the perfect option for her, because although it is so intriguing, there is an ease to it that keeps it from being too fussy.

Bold lashes, flushed cheeks and a matte red lip complete Maggie’s fabulous look.
