Red Carpet Fashion Awards

We tend to dislike anything too matchy-matchy, but Jennifer Hudson is making us rethink our position.

Spotted leaving the MayFair Hotel in London, the Grammy award-winning singer kicked up her laid back look with a vibrant cobalt blue eyeshadow that matched the lining of her leather jacket.

And she’s right on-trend—bold blue eyes were shown on the Spring/Summer 2011 catwalks last October.

Louise Gray called upon her go-to makeup artist James O’Riley to envelope each model’s eyes in an electrifying cerulean blue hue accentuated with turquoise eyelashes, while Jean Paul Gaultier’s models rocked down the runway with a sooty smoky eye in a mishmash of blues constructed by Stéphane Marais.

Jennifer Hudson is in the UK to promote her new album, ‘I Remember Me.’

Not only did she bring her amazing voice, but she also brought that amazing slimmed down figure of hers.

Today she was at ITV Studio’s to tape her guest performance for The Alan Titchmarsh Show.

We are used to seeing her in bandage, figure dresses and today is no different.

The Oscar winner looked amazing wearing a teal knit dress with an amazing pair of Christian Louboutin 4A python-suede platform bootie.

Despite not being a huge fan of booties with a pretty dress, these did make me go, “wow.”

Jennifer Hudson is currently one of the most consistent stars when it comes to her fashion choices.

That run continued when she performed on “Dancing With the Stars” on Tuesday night.

She looked amazing wearing a Victoria Beckham satin-crepe bell dress from the Spring 2011 collection with matching purple ankle strap sandals.

Her gorgeous dress with a black grosgrain is uber short, making her legs look super long and lean.

You may remember Demi Moore wore the black zipped version of this Victoria Beckham dress earlier this year.

Salma Hayek stepped out in this beautifully constructed Alexander McQueen Resort 2011 top back in November to attend the WWD CEO Summit and Keynote Dinner.

The petite actress looked incredibly chic, pairing her McQueen top with long black pants, standout gold jewelry and a slicked back ponytail.

Admittedly, the pants are a little too long on her small frame but that’s just one tiny error I’m willing to look past because overall she looks stunning.

Newly svelte singer Jennifer Hudson was next to wear this McQueen top when she performed at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards in February.

It’s been so inspiring to witness Jennifer’s transformation and subsequent style makeover, and I love almost everything about her look.

Teaming the top with fitted pants and a pair of killer heels gives her a sexy silhouette and her makeup and accessories are perfect. The only thing throwing me off is her hair. Even though it looks fabulous, this kind of top benefits from a more pulled back style.

Finally, Kim Kardashian wore the same top to support sister Khloe and her husband Lamar Odom’s new fragrance ‘Unbreakable’ this week.

Seemingly taking cues from both Jennifer and Salma, Kim opted for fitted pants and pulled her hair back into a tight ponytail. I agree with your comments that Kim looks good, but I do wish she had played more with her accessories. Some jewelry, a clutch in a contrasting colour or a pair of interesting heels would have definitely taken this up a notch.

This one was extremely tough since all three women look great; but my vote goes to Salma Hayek. She oozes sophistication in this outfit and I love the jewelry that she paired with it. I also prefer the looser pants on Salma in comparison to the fitted ones on Jennifer and Kim.

Every time I see Jennifer Hudson on the red carpet I’m stunned into silence.

She continues to be an inspiration; her style choices get better and better plus her hair and make-up are flawless.

Her week started at her “I Remember Me” album release party in New York City.

The singer looks absolutely gorgeous wearing a sequined Hervé Léger by Max Azria dress printed dress.

She added fuchsia pink lippie and those Christian Louboutin ‘Daffodile’ platform pumps which continue to be a celebrity favourite.

A touch of sparkle came from her Rina Limor and Bavna diamond jewels.

Jennifer continued her promotional tour with a live performance on ABC’s Good Morning America.

She opted for a in an orange and purple Gucci colour-block dress.

The bright colours are bold and perfect for summer.

Jennifer paired open-toe black heels with the commercial version of her Gucci dress.

For her visit to BET’s 106 & Park in New York City she continued to show off her svelte figure wearing a black long sleeve Hervé Léger by Max Azria full skirted dress.

She seems to love bandage dresses at the moment and who can blame her.

A beige pair of Christian Louboutin Lady Daf platform pumps (the ankle strap cousin of the ‘Daffodile’ pumps) and blunt bangs completed her look.

Following a short stay in Paris, Jennifer Hudson performed at the 2011 Nickelodeon Upfront Presentation last week in New York City.

The singer looked outstanding wearing a Chloé Whipstitch leather dress from the Resort 2011 collection.

Another Jennifer has also worn this dress – Jennifer Lopez – and she looked equally beautiful.

Gold jewels and mauve Fendi ankle strap heels completed her look.

I love how this mini dress makes Jennifer legs so long and lean. It’s a great cut and colour for her.

I’m loving her whole look at the moment. Not just because of her new svelte body, but also her hair, make-up and dress choices.
