Jennifer Hudson In Gucci – ‘Think Like A Man’ LA Premiere

Whilst Gabrielle Union opted for head-to-toe black on the red carpet for the ‘Think Like A Man’ LA premiere yesterday evening, Jennifer Hudson was more playful with a mix of colours.

You clearly hated her Roberto Cavalli gown from the previous night, so I’m keen to hear your views on her Gucci Resort 2012 look.

A simple white tee was teamed with a tiered beige-and-yellow pleated skirt.

The look probably wasn’t summery enough for the singer as she added a large ocean-blue statement necklace, which matched her oversized bow-front Giuseppe Zanotti platforms.

I see where Jennifer was going with this look, but the accessories kill it.

For some reason I can picture Jordin Sparks rocking this look well, but Jennifer gets a thumbs down.

Sporting shorter crimped hair, she completed her look with hooped earrings and a stack of silver bracelets.

Thumbs up or down?

Jennifer Hudson In Roberto Cavalli – amfAR New York Gala To Kick Off Fall 2012 Fashion Week

Jennifer Hudson was one of the many stars to hit the red carpet at the amfAR New York Gala to kick off Fall 2012 Fashion Week last night wearing Roberto Cavalli.

Sporting crimped hair, the singer wore a taupe plunging gown with a thigh-high split and a stunning gold embellished bodice.

That detail was complemented with gold strappy sandals and statement jewels.

Jennifer Hudson In Roland Mouret – ‘I Got This: How I Changed My Ways and Lost What Weighed Me Down’ Book Launch Party

Good Housekeeping magazine threw a lavish cocktail party to celebrate Jennifer Hudson’s new book, ‘I Got This: How I Changed My Ways and Lost What Weighed Me Down’, which was held at the Hearst Tower in New York City on Tuesday.

The singer, who loves fitted dresses to showcase her achievements, this time opted for a figure-enhancing Roland Mouret ‘Gina’ dress from the Spring 2012 collection.

The ceylon-yellow dress was teamed with white platform ankle-strap peep-toes which I do not favour.

A chic half-up, half-down hairstyle and a rouge lip colour completed her look.

Yay or nay on her footwear choice?

Best Dressed Of The Week – Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Alexander McQueen & Jennifer Hudson In The Blonds

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge won your votes wearing a sleek black velvet Alexander McQueen strapless gown to The Sun Military Awards this week.

This was my third favourite look from Catherine this year, following her Alexander McQueen wedding gown and her gorgeous Jenny Packham gown.

Jennifer Hudson was my favourite wearing The Blonds to the VH1 Diva event.

Her multi-coloured crystal-encrusted gown and perfectly complementary sandals was a real diva moment.

Diana Ross would be proud.

Jennifer Hudson In Pamella Roland – ‘Christmas in Washington’ Concert

Jennifer Hudson attended the 30th Annual ‘Christmas in Washington’ concert in Washington, D.C. on Sunday.

She looked radiant wearing a Pamella Roland gown.

The taupe silk gown decorated entirely with crystals has a v-neck front and a plunging back.

Statement bangles, a gold ring and studded earrings accessorized her look.

Poker-straight hair and a pink lip shade, which I don’t favour on this occasion, provided the finishing touches.

Many of you didn’t like her Beyonce/Katy Perry/Rihanna/Fergie/JLo looks at the VH1 Divas event, so how do you feel about this more sophisticated, graceful classic Diana Ross look?

Jennifer Hudson In The Blonds & Dolce & Gabbana – VH1’s Divas Celebrate Soul Performances

Jennifer Hudson showcased more than just her singing abilities when she took to the stage at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City last night for VH1’s Divas Celebrate Soul event.

She wore a very sexy ruby mini dress from The Blonds Spring 2012 collection.

This signature corset dress is bejewelledwith contrasting sequins.

It’s a shame that the PVC strips across the front of the bodice and the straps are visible, because she really worked this look on the stage.

Jennifer Hudson In Francesco Scognamiglio – VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul

Jennifer Hudson showcased a shorter ‘do on the red carpet for VH1’s Divas Celebrate Soul event at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City last night.

She donned a head-to-toe Francesco Scognamiglio Fall 2011 look.

I’m pretty confident my opinion won’t be shared, but I kinda like this.

It’s a huge departure from what we are used to seeing on JHud.

The event is about divas and this look has diva written all over it – from the sexy shimmering knit dress to the gold-embellished over-the-knee boots.

Somewhere JLo is fuming that she didn’t get her hands on this look first.

Does this look work for you?

Who Wore Marchesa Better? Olivia Wilde or Jennifer Hudson

Back in January when Olivia Wilde was wowing us on the red carpet, she wore this chocolate Marchesa tulle gown which was decorated with gold sequins to the 2011 Golden Globe Awards.

Jennifer Hudson wore the same gown whilst taping the ‘Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade’ TV special at the Disneyland Resort in California on Friday.

With no visible accessories on either of these lovely ladies – a smart choice based on the sheer magnitude of the dress – we can only judge based on hair and makeup.

Olivia wore her brunette locks sleek and straight, with blunt bangs and smoky eye makeup. Jennifer chose to play up the princess look, with major curls and bright pink lips.

With a gown this gorgeous on two stunning ladies, it’s almost impossible to choose between them, but Olivia has the edge for us due to her inspired footwear choice.

Jennifer Hudson In Versace – Swarovski Elements And Rodeo Drive Holiday Lighting Ceremony

After failing to impress us at the 2011 American Music Awards, Jennifer Hudson joined Jessica Alba at the Swarovski Rodeo Drive holiday lighting ceremony.

We can’t see much of her pink Alice Temperley dress (which I’m thinking might be a good thing), but we can see her Versace Fall 2011 white coat.

The coat is instantly recognizable by the gold hardware.

I wish Jennifer had used the belt to pull the coat together to make it the star of this look because nothing else is working for me.

Jimmy Choo ‘Ellie’ booties completed her look.
