Jennifer Connelly In Louis Vuitton – ‘Aloft’ (‘No Llores, Vuela’) Madrid Photocall & Premiere

Jennifer Connelly In Louis Vuitton - 'Aloft' ('No Llores, Vuela') Madrid Photocall & Premiere

On Wednesday (January 21) Jennifer Connelly was in Madrid, Spain, to promote her new movie, ‘Aloft’, whose original title read ‘No Llores, Vuela’ in Spanish.

Photocall: At the photocall held at the Ritz hotel, the actress opted for chic separates, pairing a printed top with an A-line leather skirt, which is a fundamentally sleek design, giving her daytime look edgy elegance. The look was, of course, styled with Louis Vuitton ankle boots.

Premiere: For the premiere, the actress was able to snag a look from the Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2015 collection even before Style.com could publish the pictures. No real surprises there. Continuing on the leather-trimmed theme from recent collections, Nicolas Ghesquière’s visionary approach to femme design is rendered in this mini daisy print dress, which marries sensuality with a cool edge. Keeping the LV ankle boots she wore earlier in the day, the look was topped off with a patent-leather LV clutch.

Louis Vuitton Monogram Celebration

Louis Vuitton Monogram Celebration

A host of stars joined Nicole Kidman on the red carpet for the Louis Vuitton Monogram celebration held at the Museum of Modern Art on Friday (November 7) in New York City.

Miranda Kerr: As you know, the model has been trying to shake off her known for style and present much edgier red carpet looks. While Miranda might be just wearing a sheer top and printed skirt from Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2015 collection, she’s not selling this look to me as she doesn’t strike me as an LV girl under the helm of Nicolas Ghesquière. The LV Fall 2013 or LV Spring 2013 collections are more suited to her ultra-femme style.

Jennifer Connelly: The actress is still going full steam ahead with the Louis Vuitton Spring 2014 collection, wearing a trompe l’oeil mini dress with lace tights and boots while carrying an LV minaudière. While I can’t deny how great she does look, I can’t help thinking how terribly bored her stylist must be at the moment to be working in such narrow confinement.

Charlotte Gainsbourg: Between Jennifer and Charlotte this LV Spring 2015 collection will be used up by Christmas, which might not be such a bad thing. Like a true Ghesquière disciple the French actress wore the runway look in its entirety, and while I have a been-there done-that feeling about this look, she’s working the hell out of it, therefore forcing me to buy what she’s selling.

Jennifer Connelly In Louis Vuitton – WSJ. Magazine’s ‘Innovator Of The Year’ Awards

Jennifer Connelly In Louis Vuitton - WSJ Magazine's 'Innovator Of The Year' Awards

Jennifer Connelly attended WSJ. Magazine’s ‘Innovator Of The Year’ Awards held at the Museum of Modern Art on Wednesday (November 5) in New York City, where she presented Nicholas Ghesquière with the Wall Street Journal Magazine Innovator Award.

Following her last look, which many likened to a strait-jacket, this Louis Vuitton Spring 2015 dress looked like it had a little more give.

I’m sure there will be no shortage of sequinned black minis in the lead up to the holidays, but none styled with such a dramatic pair of heels.

The red and black monogrammed booties with gold trim have got to be one of the ugliest pairs of shoes I have seen in a long while. The clutch isn’t doing much to enhance the look either.

I’m getting very close to the tip of the Connelly-Vuitton saturation point. Are you?

Jennifer Connelly In Louis Vuitton – 20th Annual Artwalk NY

Jennifer Connelly In Louis Vuitton - 20th Annual Artwalk NY

Jennifer Connelly attended the 20th Annual Artwalk NY held at Metropolitan Pavilion on Thursday (October 30) in New York City.

The actress was, of course, decked out in head-to-toe Louis Vuitton Spring 2015, and while I usually buy what she’s selling, I couldn’t get on board with one element of the look: namely, the jacket.

While complementing the rouge backdrop, buttoning it up in such a fashion makes the look feel rather restricted and rigid. The high neck is so restricting it makes me think of a neck brace.

The dress is pretty enough and I don’t mind the boots, as that is the Louis Vuitton way, but Jennifer has had much more successful outings in the brand.

Louis Vuitton Spring 2015 Front Row

Louis Vuitton Spring 2015 Front Row

Louis Vuitton presented their Spring 2015 collection during Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday (October 1) to a mix of LV devotees and some new fans they have picked up along the way.

Jennifer Connelly: I was going to call Jennifer Connelly Nicolas Ghesquière’s biggest fan, but Charlotte Gainsbourg would dispute that. The actress selected an LV Resort 2015 black suit with red seams which on most I don’t think I would buy, mostly due to the leather neckline, but Jennifer sells the look to me with her confident pose and the elegance which oozes from every pore.

Charlotte Gainsbourg: The French beauty always nails it, this time working a Resort 2015 biker chic look which as always looks effortless. Even though I really dislike those front-zipper trousers, like Jennifer, Charlotte managed to sell this look to me in its entirety.

Michelle Williams: While Jennifer and Charlotte wear LV religiously, Michelle, who is the face of Louis Vuitton’s desirable bags for a third season, often wears the brand, selecting the easier pieces for her red carpet look. I found myself loving this sportier look from Michelle. The look feels fresh and effortless without compromising her style or the brand’s ethos.

Jennifer Connelly In Louis Vuitton – ‘Shelter’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Jennifer Connelly In Louis Vuitton - 'Shelter' Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Jennifer Connelly, much like fellow Louis Vuitton devotee Charlotte Gainsbourg, kept up her commitment to the French brand during the Toronto Film Festival while promoting her new movie, ‘Shelter’, on Friday (September 12), opting for two LBDs.

Photocall: The first was a photocall-appropriate Louis Vuitton textured top and corduroy skirt with a flounced hem. While I can see the chic-appeal this look is, I’m still feeling totally underwhelmed, much to my disappointment – I don’t believe I have ever put the words ‘Connelly’ and ‘underwhelmed’ in the same sentence.

Premiere: Shifting several gears, she went for sexy gothic glamour for the premiere, wearing another head-to-toe LV look. The intricate laser-cut lace overlay sets this apart from an average LBD, with white accessories elevating the look.

I wish these looks didn’t feel so similar, especially considering all that is available to her from this brand.
