Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Jennifer Aniston was in Germany recently for the Berlin Premiere of her new movie, “Just Go With It.”

No surprises the actress wore black, but at I have to admit I like this one.

Her Nina Ricci Resort 2011 dress has a lot of detail with the ruffles, tiers and lace panel at the back.

Gucci heels and black tights completed the look. Had she not worn the tights I would’ve liked this look even more.

If you not going to wear a coat on the red carpet, you can so sans tights.

Jennifer Aniston attended the premiere of her new movie, “Just Go with It” tonight in New York City.

My first thought was, “there is nothing new and nothing to get excited about here”

There was a time when I would’ve screamed “not another black dress,” but Jennifer refuses to wear anything else so I’m over getting hung up on it.

On this occasion she opted for a Dolce & Gabbana black strapless chiffon gown which she paired with a custom grey alligator Burberry clutch, Gucci heels and Fred Leighton jewels.

Yet another case of Groundhog day when it comes to Jennifer.

Surprisingly I Don’t Hate It Award
As much as I want to moan about Jennifer Aniston’s never changing hairstyle and the fact that she was wearing all black – again, I found myself really liking her look at the 2011 People’s Choice Awards.

She wore a Dolce & Gabbana ensemble which included a black vest and black pants – and yes I don’t hate it.

No one is more surprised than me, but I think it has something to do with her confident stride and the accessories.

For once I don’t feel like she’s hosting a ‘pity party’.

Jennifer Aniston was all smiles as she arrived for her appearance on Jon Stewart’s “The Daily Show” in New York City yesterday.

Her interview with Jon Stewart was like a reunion because he first interview her over 15 years ago when “Friends” had just aired.

The former “Friends” star looked adorable wearing a semi-formal Dolce & Gabbana grey bouclé mini dress.

Not only did she not wear black, but she also wore her hair back.

Wow, she’s really spoiling us.

I love the length, the fringed hem and the matching Gucci grey suede heels.

Has anyone noticed that Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston promotional schedules seem to run almost parallel to each other?

Whilst Ange was in London promoting “Salt”, Jennifer was in LA promoting her new movie “The Switch”.

Jen took a very rare night off wearing Valentino to wear this Lanvin Spring 2010 nude and black strapless dress.

Unsurprisingly the dress incorporated black.  Ditto for her never changing hairstyle.

I do like this look on Jen, but at the same time I’m slightly bored by it.

On the model the dress speaks volumes, on Jen it’s a quiet whisper.

Jen shortened the dress to show off those pilates toned legs, but in doing so the skirt loses some of it shape and almost becomes just a plain average pencil skirt.

Like Ange yesterday Jen gets an A for effort for attempting to step out of her very comfortable box.

Maybe had she worn one of the Lanvin necklaces a la Jennifer Lopez or Kristin Scott Thomas I could’ve got more excited about this look.

Its not often we see Jennifer carrying a clutch on the red carpet, but on this occasion she carried a Salvatore Ferragamo croc clutch which she teamed with Fred Leighton jewels aand Josie and Lottie strappy sandals.

No one will be surprised to see Jennifer Aniston on a September cover.

I’m not exactly sure what her count is, but it wouldn’t surprise me if we are now in double figures.

The actress graces 2 covers of the Harper’s Bazaar US September 2010 issue (left is the subscribers cover).

If your first thought was Barbara Streisand is on the cover of the black and white picture you’d be half right, as Jennifer’s editorial was inspired by the iconic actress.

What I obviously love about this editorial is that Jennifer is waaaayy out of her comfort-zone.

Congrats to the Harper’s Bazaar team and photographer Mark Seliger for daring to show us a different side to Jennifer.

From the hair, to the clothes and overall styling I love everything about this editorial, because if I’d seen one picture of Jen with her flowing hair on a beach I would’ve lost it.

On the black and white cover she wears Derek Lam, but the rest of her editorial she’s playful in Giambattista Valli, dainty in Dior, sultry in Donna Karan and golden in Gianfranco Ferré.

You can read her whole interview at harpersbazaar.com.

Here are some extracts:

On what she’s learned from Barbra Streisand: “You don’t have to stop at one thing. You can do it all if you want to.” Read more…
