Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Despite being hubby Channing Tatum’s plus one for the evening, it was Jenna Dewan-Tatum who caught everyone’s attention on the red carpet at the ‘21 Jump Street’ LA premiere yesterday evening.

The brunette beauty sizzled wearing a white Notte by Marchesa white bow detailed dress.

Her dress was teamed with a Marchesa ‘Lily’ clutch with aqua stones which matched her Irene Neuwirth earrings.

Silver shoes to match her clutch – the Jimmy Choo ‘Lance’ sandals, for example – would’ve been preferred, but she opted for nude ankle-strap pumps instead.

Jenna Dewan supported her husband Channing Tatum at the LA premiere of his latest movie, ‘The Vow’, on Monday night.

She opted for a sugary-sweet Tadashi Shoji Spring 2012 dress.

Her flirty long-sleeve dress with a tiered, pleated tulle skirt and grosgrain ribbon detailing at the waist was teamed with red accessories which included an Edie Parker clutch and Casadei pointy pumps.

She finished her look with wavy curls, sparkly jewelry, kohl-rimmed eyes and pink lippie.

Too much sugar, or just right?

Here are the rest of the red carpet looks from Elle’s 18th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute which took place last night in LA.

Reese Witherspoon: The actress channelled this season’s androgyny trend wearing a classic Bocanegra pant suit with a feminine twist which comes courtesy of a lace top under her jacket. I love the emerald Irene Neuwirth earrings, but I’m not loving the exposed bra too much.

Amber Heard: Unfortunately the only thing I like about Amber’s look on this occasion is the pink Calvin Klein dress. Her makeup is considerably paler than the last time out, the lip colour is too dark for her petal pink dress and those Calvin Klein grey pumps are just ugly. All good runs must come to an end.

Jayma Mays: Opted for a very glamorous look by donning a gorgeous Malandrino gown. The sea-blue silk chiffon one-ruffled-shoulder gown was teamed with a black Hoss clutch and David Yurman jewels.

Last year we saw Demi Moore wearing this Chanel Spring 2010 cute mini tulle dress on the set of her Harper’s Bazaar shoot, but it’s Rachel Bilson who’s brought it to the red carpet.

The actress looks cute enough wearing this baby-doll dress, but both the hair and make-up look the exact the same as the daily candids of her collecting her dry cleaning and shopping around Hollywood.

Shout if you think this is a BDOTW contender, because I think there’s been far better candidates.

Olivia Wilde wore an Alberta Ferretti Spring 2010 dress which had been lengthen from the runway.

I think – know – she should could have pulled of the shorter version with her gorgeous legs, so part of me feels tad disappointed.

I love the dress itself with the contrasting colours and textures.

It’s very event appropriate.

Her look was completed wearing a pair of Jimmy Choo Nova sandals from the 24/7 collection and a matching snake-skin clutch.

Ashley Greene – I believe – is the first celeb to wear a Pre-Fall 2010 look on the red carpet, which only prove how much being taken seriously in the fashion world.

The Twilight star wore a pale lemon J.Mendel Pre-Fall 2010 dress with a sheer yoke, pleated bodice and a draped detail cascading from the waist.

I love the dress and the colour is divine on her, but I really dislike the matchy matchy colour of the clutch and earrings.

Champagne peep-toes complete the look.

I adore Jenna Dewan’s Paule Ka Spring 2009 sweetheart strapless dress with blush brush stroke details.

I love the volume on the runway picture, which also shows us that the dress has a solid black back panel.

The matchy matchy nature of her heels works better for me than it did on Ashley.

Lisa Edelstein pops up every now and then on the red carpet, and every now and then I say wow.

This is one of those wow moments.

Her Emilio Pucci Resort 2010 dress is exquisite.

The embellished details around the empire-waist stop it from looking very “St Tropez”.

Had BDOTW not been so packed should would’ve been in contention.  I might try to squeeze her in.

Lake Bell flashes a rare smile at this event. Maybe she was promised some diamonds *winks*

The gorgeous actress who still looks stunning with minimal make-up arrived wearing a black and white strapless Lyn Devon Fall 2009 belted dress.

Black patent pumps and a white clutch completed the look.

As cute as Dianna Agron looks in her peachy dress. It’s a bit to Disney for my taste.

Her gold criss cross heels are from Bally.

Zoe Saldana glowed as always wearing a Calvin Klein Spring 2010 ivory dress.

The dress which is gathered on the skirt to give it some shape was paired with gold accessories.

Jenna Dewan was one of my favourites on this red carpet, as she dazzled me wearing a stunning Edition by Georges Chakra Fall 2009 grey ombre dress with sequin bodice.

Black t-bar Louboutin’s and a black clutch complete this gorgeous look.

Theron’s mini me, Katie Cassidy looked sophisticated and demure wearing an ivory Lela Rose Spring 2010 halter dress which had a metallic silver print and waist band.

Her hair was loosely pulled back as she paired her dress with silver Jimmy Choo “Flynn” sandals.

Fabulous as always.

At first I didn’t quite like Juilanne Moore’s Calvin Klein Spring 2010 ivory, grey and black tank dress at first, but it’s slowing growing on me.

It’s not BDOTW worthy, but she makes it work for her.

I do love the texture.

Diane Kruger opted for a cute short sleeved Balenciaga blue, white and black printed dress with draping around the hips to define the waist.

I like the shape of her dress and the polka dot tights don’t bother me, but I so would’ve referred her to wear the runway version.

There has been a lot of rumors that Renee Zellweger and Carolina Herrera have parted ways, but this cherry red strapless pencil dress screams Carolina Herrera to me.

I love the bow detail on the back, which is accented with an gold jewel detail.

Becki Newton looks divine wearing a ivory corseted Dolce & Gabbana strapless dress with a flirty chiffon skirt.

I love her silver strappy sandals, but I’m drooling over her Chloe bow embellished clutch.

One of my many pet peeves are exposed bra’s – anywhere – this is not exclusive to the red carpet.

If Katie Holmes was going to show us her bra under her black sheer Azzedine Alaia ensemble she could’ve at least worn a push up bra.

Emily Blunt wore a nude tulle strapless Dolce & Gabbana nude strapless dress with a grosgrain waist belt tied into a cute bow.

Her accessories were very complementary to her look without being to matchy matchy.

Robin Wright Penn wore an Emporio Armani black tuxedo jacket and black satin skinny trousers, paired with open-toe Christian Louboutin heels.

I hope she reverts back to those wow-factor looks we saw from her at Cannes.

Dianna Agron wore a strapless D&G tulle dress with Burberry Prorsum platform heels.

These heels are so heavy for this pretty dress.

Brenda Strong’s black David Meister sheath dress is accented by an amazing crystal beaded neckline.

I could gush about that stunning neckline all day, as it’s so pretty.

Sofia Vassilieva looked so cute, in her age appropriate Ina Soltani white party dress with black leather strap details.

The lucky teen got to wear stunning Swarovski jewelry with her fabulous dress.

Another teen cutie Miranda Cosgrove wore a Vena Cava Mandala dress.

The two-tone crew-neck silk dress features a sheer chiffon yoke and asymmetrical metallic fringe and chiffon ruffles on the body.

I love the embellishments on this dress.

Cat Deeley normally always looks fabulous, but on this occasion she looks a hot mess.

Leave this look to those trashy D Listers Cat, you’re way better than this.

Whilst I don’t particularly have a problem with what Amber Rose to this event because she will never look anything but tacky to me, I did have a huge issue with her Ocotber Elle US magazine editorial which was more Maxim than Elle.

Of course it was style by Kanye West.

Elle, seriously, what were you thinking?

“A Steady Rain” Broadway Opening Night, New York

What does Ellen Barkin, Nicole Kidman and Kyra Sedgwick have in common?

They all love wearing L’Wren Scott’s figure-hugging dresses.

Nicole Kidman has actually worn this black and white trimmed L’Wren Scott Headmistress dress.

Nicole opted for red peep-toes, but Ellen wore t-bar patent Christian Louboutin’s to complete her look.

Hair Magazine Awards, London

UK TV and Radio presenter Lauren Laverne wore a Jonathan Saunders Fall 2009 LBD, which had a wet-look bodice wrapped around stunning embellishments.

I love the her curly cropped bob and her flawless make-up.

Even though I personally don’t like tights, this head-to-toe look really works well for her.

The Richard Nicoll Fall 2009 runway fashion-forward piece has been soften to a pink & nude silk slip dress on Donna Air.

She added grey sandals and a silver statement necklace to complete her look.

Tamsin Egerton looks stunning wearing an Alexander Wang one-sleeved jersey ruched dress, which just goes to prove that Wang’s clothes are desired on both sides of the Atlantic.

It’s getting cooler temperature-wise in London, but thankfully Tamsin didn’t opt for tights.

She instead showed-off her enviable legs wearing gold peep-toes.

VV Brown often wears edgy, unknown designers or a lot of vintage pieces, but on this occasion I can spot an embellished Topshop jacket.

The look is paired with a vintage faux-fur hat, black pants and nude ballet pumps.

Jenny Frost’s dress says one thing, “I want to attention.”

I may have liked the dress if it had fit better.  It just a piece of material hanging from her paired with a black belt.

“UNITE Unveiled: Gen Art’s Fresh Faces In Fashion”, LA

‘The Hills’ star Kristen Cavallari looked lovely wearing a lacy nude top with a black leather skirt and nude patent Brian Atwood heels.

I’m very impressed that her flesh coloured bra isn’t immediately noticeable.

If this was Heidi Montag she would’ve won a bright pink bra just to draw attention to herself.

“Rock A Little, Feed A Lot” Benefit Concert, LA

Marcia Cross looked surprisingly raunchy in her Dsquared² embellished top, with James Jean’s “Twiggy” legging jeans.

It’s hard to believe Isla Fisher is a mother of one, because looks so young.

She kept her look super casual wearing a graphic print tee, short black leather skirt and zipper gladiator sandals.

Jenna Dewan opted for a H&M multi-coloured striped dress, paired with black leggings and navy pumps.

02 X Awards 2009, London

Yasmin Le Bon wore a berry velvet suit from her YLB for Wallis collection, paired with a black blouse.

Make-up free but still gorgeous.

The Scene Record Release Party, LA

Selena Gomez is the epitome of chic at her album launch party wearing nude silk top, a chocolate sequin mini skirt and nude patent heels.

The side-parted pony tail gives this look a youthful feel which has been missing from previous looks.
