Red Carpet Fashion Awards

January Jones who plays housewife Betty Draper in the Emmy award-winning TV drama Mad Men, is the cover star for Tatler UK’s September 2010 issue.

The blonde actress looks very regal in her shoot with Robert Erdmann, which shot on a ranch outside of LA.

January confirms in her interview that she’s not leaving ‘Man Men’.

She first she heard about the rumors that she was leaving ‘Mad Men’ from her parents.

She states that she’s under contract and that ‘Mad Men’ wouldn’t be ‘Mad Men’ without Betty Draper.

January is proud that the show is bringing back the idea that it’s okay for women have curves.

She confesses that she has learned to love the girdle she wears to help her achieve her hourglass looks. “It gives you such a nice shape,” she says.

You won’t be surprised to see that Prada and Louis Vuitton feature in her editorial as both collections were inspired by the hit drama.

You may remember that Emily Blunt wore this same Louis Vuitton Fall 2010 dress on a recent photo shoot.

I’ve been catching up with “Man Men” and I’m totally addicted. I’ve already ordered seasons 2 and 3.

Having worked in Advertising for 5 years the only thing that’s changed from this fictional 60s drama is that more women are in the Executive positions and the creative guys now wear jeans and tees.

The dramas, politics and bed hopping remain the same.

January Jones was in New York this week to celebrate Season 4 of the hit show and it appears her LWD obsession continues.

The actress aka Betty Draper opted to wear a white Atelier Versace halter neck dress.

Her white cocktail dress with draped fringe beading shimmered on the red carpet.

January’s opted to inject a touch of fun to her hairstyle, sporting a series of intricate twists.

Brian Atwood nude patent leather ‘Maniac’ pumps completed the look.

This is a fabulous dress, but the nude Atwood’s they are becoming the Trib Two’s of 2008/2009.

On Saturday night January Jones appeared on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon”.

She challenged him to a second round of ‘Beer Pong’ after failing to beat Jimmy on her previous visit.

She wasn’t there just play Beer Pong, the Emmy-nominated actress was there to promote season 4 of the hit series ‘Man Men’.

The star looked radiant on the show wearing a Marchesa Resort 2011 dress.

Her geometric-print hand-embroidered cocktail dress with a fringed hem was the perfect choice for a Late night Saturday show.

The dress gets a 10, her hair gets a 4.

I wish she’s done something more interesting.

If you’re wondering what shoes she wore you can see in the video she wore black pumps.

Shocker.

Nice Dress Shame About The Shoes Award
January Jones was one of the presenters at the 2010 ESPY Awards so she didn’t walk the red carpet.

This seemed strange because her co-presenter Zac Efron did.

My worst combination is a white dress with black pumps on the red carpet and in life. It’s a total no no in my book.

At this point I’m really tired about moaning about celebs wearing black pumps on the red carpet, but they just keep wearing them no matter what type of dress they are wearing.

Yes they do work on many occasions, but not here.

January wore a Versace Fall 2010 white dress, which I preferred to Ashley Greene’s.

Her halter dress also had an asymmetrical hemline and a diagonal split but January was able to pull off the look.

It’s more summery and it’s brightens up her complexion.

Last night many gorgeous stars celebrated “Oceana” which was hosted by Louis Vuitton and Vanity Fair in LA.

The Louis Vuitton Spring 2010 collection was hard to love. Some of you have expressed your dislike for this collection on many occasions.

I’m sure you will agree that Kristen Bell picked one of the best pieces from the Spring 2010 collection to wear at this event.

She would’ve brighten up the room wearing a blue and white tie-dye Louis Vuitton Spring 2010 dress with mesh sleeves.

Every thing about her look was light and summery from her white clutch, to her slate grey heels.

January Jones opted for a Louis Vuitton Resort 2011 ensemble which included a black organza blouse paired with high-waisted pants.

I’m not surprised she picked this look as many of the other looks from this collection are very Betty Draper-esqe, and we all know how hard she tries to remind us she’s not Betty Draper.

I love both looks. Summery (Kristen) and sophisticated (January) and not a hint of try hard.

January Jones was the first to wear this Gucci Spring 2010 Ikat white and pink dress when she attended a Golden Globe Awards party in January.

Taraji P. Henson wore the same dress last week when she attended “An Evening at Cipriani with Mary J. Blige and Friends” at Cipriani Wall Street in New York.

January opted for the girlie approach pairing her look with simple satin pumps, whilst Taraji opted for an edgier look teaming her dress with Gucci black leather ‘Daryl’ platform sandals from the same Spring 2010 collection plus a Celestina clutch and David Yurman jewels.

For picking a more interesting pair of heels, I’ll give this Taraji.
