Get The Look: January Jones’ Effortless, Touchable Hair

Opening Of Restoration Hardware West Hollywood The Gallery On Melrose AvenueCelebrity hairstylist Clariss Rubenstein worked with January Jones for the opening of Restoration Hardware West Hollywood The Gallery on Wednesday (October 22).

Sharing her inspiration, Clariss said, “I wanted January’s hair to look effortless and touchable. Her hair is super healthy and shiny right now and I wanted to enhance that.”

Here’s how to get the look.

After blow-drying January’s hair with just a few sprays of Bumble & Bumble Thickening Spray, Clariss used a one-inch-barrel curling iron and wrapped the hair in different directions so that it had movement and didn’t look too uniform.

To finish the look she used Unite Texturiza Spray, which I love (it’s a dry shampoo, a texturizer, and light hairspray all in one), at the roots only. She also added a few sprays of Oribe Shine Light Reflecting Spray to the ends.

January Jones In Marni – RH West Hollywood The Gallery Opening

January Jones In Marni - RH West Hollywood The Gallery Opening

January Jones attended the opening of RH West Hollywood The Gallery on Melrose Avenue, West Hollywood, California on Wednesday (October 22).

The actress wore a brown long-sleeved Marni Resort 2015 dress in a simple silhouette enlivened with a captivating blue, pink and white tropical print.

Brown rarely makes the grade on the red carpet, but this frock does, especially when so effortless styled with nude Marni pumps and a Mary Katrantzou dual-colour ‘MVK’ bag – though I wish January had carried the bag as a clutch or worn it as a shoulder bag rather than a cross-body bag.

Considering the print on her frock, she highlighted her eyes in a sea-blue hue.

The Hammer Museum’s 12th Annual ‘Gala In The Garden’

The Hammer Museum's 12th Annual Gala In The Garden

The Hammer Museum’s 12th annual ‘Gala in the Garden’ was held on Saturday (October 11) in Westwood, California in association with Bottega Veneta, where the stars were draped in the Italian brand’s finest pieces.

Dianna Agron: The ‘Glee’ actress continued to showcase her sartorial style wearing a black and nude patterned dress from Bottega Veneta’s Resort 2015 collection. Oozing with elegance and femininity, she styled her dress with the brand’s signature woven clutch. I have found myself hypnotized by Dianna at the moment. Whoever is doing her makeup and making her glow so radiantly is doing a fine job.

January Jones: No surprises that January stood out; she’s never one to blend into the background. The ‘Mad Men’ actress wore an intentionally imperfect vibrant strapless Bottega Veneta patchwork Pre-Fall 2014 dress defined by a hot-pink jacquard, macramé lace, and a metallic coating. Like Dianna, she carried a woven clutch, with Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals providing the finishing touches. Needless to say, she was by far my favourite at this event.

Emmy Rossum: Also carrying a Bottega Veneta woven clutch, the ‘Shameless’ actress looked as lovely as ever wearing a Bottega Veneta Pre-Fall 2014 V-neck black and nude gown shimmering with metallic-gold panels. Like Dianna, she’s glowing.

January Jones In BOSS – ‘Good Kill’ Venice Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

January Jones In BOSS - 'Good Kill' Venice Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

January Jones returned to the red carpet for the ‘Good Kill’ photocall and premiere, hosted during the 2014 Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy on Friday (September 5).

Photocall: While at the Palazzo Del Casino, the actress selected a BOSS Fall 2014 ivory silk dress with sheer chiffon detailing, contrasted by Casadei black suede wrap-around, lace-up sandals and her adorable wavy long bob. Déjà vu has likely set in already, as this is a repeat feature just worn recently by Caroline Issa at the GQ Men of the Year Awards. Still, it maintained all the subtle chic factor that we saw in its first run.

Premiere: Staying in the light colour palette, January debuted a BOSS fully micro-beaded, custom V-neck column gown, accessorized with on-trend Jack Vartanian black diamond ear climbers and a Le Vian diamond ring. The shimmering, statuesque slinkiness of this gown had me at hello, although I could have done without the beehive updo.

January Jones In Prabal Gurung – 2014 Emmy Awards

January Jones shone on the red carpet of the 2014 Emmy Awards tonight at the Nokia Theatre Live L.A. in Los Angeles tonight (August 25).

The ‘Mad Men’ star wore a patterned Prabal Gurung gown with a high/low hem from the Resort 2015 collection.

A Rauwolf clutch, simple Jack Vartanian jewelry and black strappy Christian Louboutin ‘Viennana’ sandals completed the look.

I love how simple January kept things, so the gown could really shine.

A matte red lip and semi messy updo with bangs were the perfect complement to her ‘let the dress be the star’ effect.
