Red Carpet Fashion Awards

January Jones was spotted attending a private party in Bel Air, California on Sunday afternoon.

The ‘Mad Men’ actress wore a pretty blue dress designed by one of her favourite off-duty brands; Madewell.

Her ‘Gatehouse’ silky long-sleeve dress with a quirky-yet-feminine tulip hem was worn by Solange Knowles in the ‘Mix Well. Madewell’ Fall 2012 ad campaign.

January styled her frock with nude ballet flats, a quilted bag, gold hooped earrings, a gold bracelet and shades.

January Jones attended the 41st Annual Peace Over Violence Humanitarian Awards at the Beverly Hills Hotel in LA on Friday evening.

The ‘Mad Men’ actress gave us our second look from the Wes Gordon Spring 2013 collection.

Her black, aqua blue and grey swan print dress featured a contrast solid placket, sheer lace insets at the sides and back, and a sheer lace asymmetrical hem.

January styled her look with black Rupert Sanderson ‘Jacoba’ sandals and some gold bangles.

Smoky eyes, glossy lips and a simple updo completed her look.

January Jones joined a host of celebrities who attended the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Event held at the Chateau Marmont in LA, California, yesterday evening.

The ‘Mad Men’ actress wore a Rachel Zoe Resort 2013 jumpsuit.

Her chic blue printed look with a black collar, placket and cuffs was styled with a chain-accented leather belt from the Rachel Zoe Spring 2013 collection.

I love how comfortable this take on the PJ trend looks.

The Paley Center for Media’s Annual Los Angeles Benefit took place at The Rooftop Of The Lot yesterday evening in West Hollywood, California.

January Jones: The actress opted to wear a neon-pink long-sleeve Skaist Taylor romper with a shirt collar for the occasion. I love the romper, the colour especially, but her accessories are tres boring. I guess she kept the accessories neutral to ensure the focus was on the romper. Her half-up, half-down hairstyle adds a playfulness to her look, but I really dislike the ghostly makeup.

Elisabeth Moss: Just when I fell in love with Elisabeth’s blonde ‘do, she goes and pulls the rug from underneath us and returns to being a brunette. The ‘Mad Men’ actress opted for a black Helmet Lang blazer and Phillip Lim shorts with a red A.L.C. skirt to liven up the look. She accessorized her look with black pumps which disappeared into the black carpet and a Jimmy Choo ‘Candy’ clutch with an animal print. Once again I didn’t like the makeup.

Jon Hamm: The handsome actor joined his ‘Mad Men’ co-stars on the red carpet at this event. He donned a chequered dark grey suit with a white shirt and patterned tie. Whoever applied his powder before he took to the red carpet was a tad heavy handed.

Three looks, three makeup malfunctions.

January Jones is obsessed with her Christian Louboutin ‘Farida’ messenger bag.

The ‘Mad Men’ star has been spotted with this green Louboutin messenger swung over her shoulder at least six times this month.

Her super-swanky messenger looks like it will carry more than just a purse and an iPhone, as the roomy bag with a front flap opens to reveal a main compartment and second suede flap pocket.

I, too, am coveting this bag, which combines functionality and desirability, especially as the bag comes in several different colourways.

The red, black and tan colour-block version is particularly eye-catching.

You can buy the red version of January’s Christian Louboutin messenger bag from Browns Fashion and Bergdorf Goodman.
Barneys.com have it in black and Saks.com have the bag in leopard print.

Here are six more looks from the celebration of Chanel Fine Jewelry’s 80th anniversary of the ‘Bijoux De Diamants’ collection, created by Gabrielle Chanel, in New York City yesterday evening.

January Jones: After knocking it out of the fashion ballpark at the Emmys, I’m deeply disappointed by January on this occasion. Between the ghostly makeup, low bandeau and the off-white maxi skirt, the best way to sum up this Chanel Fall 2008 Couture look would be “a hot mess”.

Leigh Lezark: It was left to the DJ and FROWer to bring some glamour to proceedings. Leigh looked stunning wearing a black net Chanel Pre-Fall 2010 gown with PVC embroidery which was styled with a matching bolero with a high neckline. A Perspex clutch, a simple updo and barely there makeup save for kohl-rimmed eyes completed her look.

Giovanna Battaglia: The editor gives me a dilemma. Do I look at the shoes or her Chanel Resort 2013 dress first? Because both are screaming for my attention.
