Zimmermann Melrose Place Flagship Opening

Zimmermann Melrose Place Flagship Opening

Nicky and Simone Zimmermann hosted a dinner party to celebrate the opening of the Zimmermann Melrose Place Flagship store on Wednesday (July 29) in Los Angeles, California.

Miranda Kerr: The model was no doubt top of the invite list, as she was one of the first to wear the Australian brand stateside. I love how decidedly pretty and ethereal her Zimmermann ‘Nightmarch Vine’ embroidered dress is, which she perfectly styled with matching nude Jimmy Choo sandals.

Chanel Iman: The models mood was totally different wearing a maroon Fall 2015 dress; similar to the two-piece look Kendall Jenner wore earlier this month. As gorgeous as she looked, the revealing, peek-a-boo gown felt a bit OTT for the occasion.

Comic-Con 2015 Red Carpet Roundup

Comic con roundup
The star-studded Comic-Con 2015 weekend brought out a host of other bold names for the range of parties and panel discussions in San Diego, California.

Natalie Dormer: Attending the Screen Gems panel, the ‘Game of Thrones’ actress wore a Mary Katrantzou lamur guipure lace and jacquard midi dress with blue-green embroidered accents. I like how her ponytail adds a fresh, breezy note to this darker look, but I have no words for the shoes that should have been a simple black or blue sandal if nothing else. You may remember that Shailene Woodley wore the same dress a few months ago.

Sarah Paulson: Fusing femininity with structure, this Suno cutout flared black dress was a successful look for Sarah at the Entertainment Weekly Comic-Con 2015 party. I was equally delighted to see her step outside the plain-black box with accessories including a silver Edie Parker clutch and silver Aldo shoes.

Kate Mara: Also joining the dark colour parade, Kate wore an embellished Valentino Fall 2015 design at the 20th Century Fox panel discussion. She let the mini dress shine all on its own with only minimal styling including a simple pair of black sandals and a few beaded bracelets, which I would argue were unnecessary too.

January Jones In J. Mendel – 2015 CFDA Fashion Awards

January Jones In J Mendel - 2015 CFDA Fashion Awards

January Jones attended the 2015 CFDA Fashion Awards at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center on Monday (June 1) in New York City.

The ‘Mad Men’ star embraced a powerfully feminine impression with a touch of allure wearing a dual-colour J. Mendel Fall 2015 jumpsuit.

Making a slight modification to the runway look, I prefer January’s printed sash for a much sleeker finish.

Attending with Irene Neuwirth, the look was styled with the jewelry designers one of a kind mixed gem-stone necklace along with Paul Andrew ‘Vitales’ sandals and a Rauwolf clutch.

I find the clutch a little overpowering and the hair a bit to prissy for this edgy look, but this is a great look nonetheless.

Television Academy’s Farewell to Mad Men Event

Television Academy's Farewell to Mad Men event

The Television Academy hosted a farewell event for the popular television series, ‘Mad Men,’ at The Montalbán in Hollywood, California on Sunday (May 17), where the show’s leading ladies made an appearance.

January Jones: The line motif of the Jil Sander Fall 2015 collection was readily apparent in January’s ensemble, as she walked her own line in this ensemble that was all about precision. The pop of baby-blue was beautiful against the sharper edges, but the look seemed a bit too strict and forced, and the black pumps did nothing to lighten the mood.

Elisabeth Moss: Her Chikimiki Fall 2015 pleated and colour-blocked dress would have come across as more vibrant with a brighter lip and a bold shoe to magnify the hues of the frock.

Christina Hendricks: Christina arguably had the most fun with her magenta suit and embellished pumps, although the look had a more mannish spirit than we are accustomed to seeing from the curvaceous actress. Her lighter strawberry locks may continue to be a letdown here, especially for those who appreciated the vibrancy of her more fiery strands.

Get The Look: January Jones’ Fun Summer Makeup

january jones makeupCelebrity makeup artist Hung Vanngo worked with January Jones for the 2015 FOX Programming Presentation on Monday (May 11).

Hung said, “We wanted to create a fun summer look. The lip color was inspired by the color details of January’s dress.”

Here’s how to get the look.

First Hung prepped January’s skin using Lancome Absolue Precious Oil, Lancome Activating Eye Concentrate, and Clé de Peau Beauté Correcting Cream Veil.

He then began by applying Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick in Pale Dune. He also used Clé de Peau Beauté Concealer in Beige as well as Chanel Les Beiges in N20.

For her brows, he used Chanel Crayon Sourcil in Blond Clair.

On January’s eyes, he used CK One Color Eyeshadow Base in Simple, followed by CK One Color Eyeliner Marker in The Drama. He then applied CK One Color Volume Mascara in Black on her lashes.

For her cheeks, he used Tom Ford Cream Cheek Color in Pink Sand and NARS The Multiple in Copacabana.

On January’s lips, he used CK One Color All Day Perfection Lip Color in Flaunt. The shade won’t be available in July but a very close color can be achieved with CK One Color Pure Lipstick in Kiss It.

FOX Programming Presentation Red Carpet Roundup

FOX Programming Presentation Red Carpet Roundup

More stars joined Lea Michele and Cat Deeley at the 2015 FOX programming presentation at Wollman Rink in New York City’s Central Park on Monday (May 11).

Sarah Paulson: The ornamental floral embroidery and decorative scalloped neck and hem detailing on her Yanina Couture frock providing an interesting boost to the LBD. While I question the rather sombre nature, the flirty flared silhouette helped alleviate the mood and I did appreciate the pop of the geometric clutch and ruby lip. The one-sided hair was totally lost on me, though.

January Jones: I barely recognized the actress in this Tanya Taylor Fall 2015 black peplum dress with a shiny holographic print. Not satisfied to keep her flashy ways to her frock, she painted on a hot-pink lip, tied her blonde locks into a messy topknot, and wore a pair of silver metallic shoes.

Emma Roberts
: Also donning a black-themed ensemble, Emma took hers in an edgier, directional spirit with a Jonathan Simkhai netted top and skirt paired with an Amanda Wakeley clutch. The sleek updo and rose-tinged makeup added a chic finish to the tougher asymmetrical look.
