Get The Look: January Jones’ Fun Summer Makeup

january jones makeupCelebrity makeup artist Hung Vanngo worked with January Jones for the 2015 FOX Programming Presentation on Monday (May 11).

Hung said, “We wanted to create a fun summer look. The lip color was inspired by the color details of January’s dress.”

Here’s how to get the look.

First Hung prepped January’s skin using Lancome Absolue Precious Oil, Lancome Activating Eye Concentrate, and Clé de Peau Beauté Correcting Cream Veil.

He then began by applying Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick in Pale Dune. He also used Clé de Peau Beauté Concealer in Beige as well as Chanel Les Beiges in N20.

For her brows, he used Chanel Crayon Sourcil in Blond Clair.

On January’s eyes, he used CK One Color Eyeshadow Base in Simple, followed by CK One Color Eyeliner Marker in The Drama. He then applied CK One Color Volume Mascara in Black on her lashes.

For her cheeks, he used Tom Ford Cream Cheek Color in Pink Sand and NARS The Multiple in Copacabana.

On January’s lips, he used CK One Color All Day Perfection Lip Color in Flaunt. The shade won’t be available in July but a very close color can be achieved with CK One Color Pure Lipstick in Kiss It.

FOX Programming Presentation Red Carpet Roundup

FOX Programming Presentation Red Carpet Roundup

More stars joined Lea Michele and Cat Deeley at the 2015 FOX programming presentation at Wollman Rink in New York City’s Central Park on Monday (May 11).

Sarah Paulson: The ornamental floral embroidery and decorative scalloped neck and hem detailing on her Yanina Couture frock providing an interesting boost to the LBD. While I question the rather sombre nature, the flirty flared silhouette helped alleviate the mood and I did appreciate the pop of the geometric clutch and ruby lip. The one-sided hair was totally lost on me, though.

January Jones: I barely recognized the actress in this Tanya Taylor Fall 2015 black peplum dress with a shiny holographic print. Not satisfied to keep her flashy ways to her frock, she painted on a hot-pink lip, tied her blonde locks into a messy topknot, and wore a pair of silver metallic shoes.

Emma Roberts
: Also donning a black-themed ensemble, Emma took hers in an edgier, directional spirit with a Jonathan Simkhai netted top and skirt paired with an Amanda Wakeley clutch. The sleek updo and rose-tinged makeup added a chic finish to the tougher asymmetrical look.

January Jones In Prabal Gurung – ‘Good Kill’ Tribeca Film Festival Premiere

January Jones In Prabal Gurung - 'Good Kill' Tribeca Film Festival Premiere

January Jones attended the premiere of ‘Good Kill’ during the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival at BMCC Tribeca PAC on Sunday (April 19) in New York City.

The actress wore a Prabal Gurung Fall 2015 tuxedo inspired jumpsuit, offering a contemporary take on androgynous tailoring, with alluring twists imbued by the plunging neckline and sheer panels at the waist.

While I love the cut of this jumpsuit, a part of me wonders if the look would’ve been better with cut-outs rather than the sheer panels.

Making the look feel effeminately classic, she styled the look with nude pumps.

Burberry ‘London In Los Angeles’ Event

Burberry 'London In Los Angeles' Event

Burberry celebrated its ‘London In Los Angeles’ event, which took place at the iconic Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, California. As with any Burberry event, there were of course many celebrities in attendance.

Jaime King: I am not sure what kind of statement the actress was trying to make here, but words fail me.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: Oozing sex appeal without trying, the British actress, who is very much part of the Burberry family, wore a contrast print mini from the Fall 2015 collection. I’m sure even the ‘Legs or Boobs’ police will let off the model for looking so drop dead gorgeous.

Rose Byrne: The sheer trend was a hot one on this red carpet. Unlike Jaime, I don’t feel repelled by this look as Rose pulls off this look with style and effortless grace. The gold accessories really enhanced the luxe feel of this look.

January Jones In Prabal Gurung – ‘Mad Men’ Black & Red Ball

January Jones In Prabal Gurung - 'Mad Men' Black & Red Ball

January Jones attended the ‘Mad Men’ Black & Red Ball held at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on Wednesday (March 25) in Los Angeles, California to celebrate the final 7 episodes.

Taking the dress code literally, the actress wore a red and black Prabal Gurung Pre-Fall 2015 strapless black embroidered dress, teamed with an embroidered crop top featuring a fluted hem.

This look took a while to grow on me, as I missed the sexy slit we see in the look book, but I admire how January took this ensemble in another direction, oozing charming grace while her directional look did all the heavy lifting.

January Jones In Preen – The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

January Jones In Preen - The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

January Jones made a guest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday (March 23) following the New York premiere.

Sticking with the same British label, the ‘Mad Men’ actress wore another Preen by Thornton Bregazzi frock, this time selecting a Spring 2015 LBD, which gets an electric charge thanks to the tribal elements infused via the colourful fringe detailing.

The stand out piece was left to do all the talking, with black sandals and a plump red lip rounding out the look.

This dress could’ve easily gone awry, or looked gimmicky, but I think January pulls off this sporty piece with great aplomb.

Do you agree?
