Barneys Celebrates the Launch of Altuzarra Handbags

Barneys New York celebrated the launch of Altuzarra handbags with a luncheon hosted at Barneys New York Beverly Hills on Thursday (September 24) in Beverly Hills, California.

Zoe Saldana: As one of the co-hosts, the actress was chicly attired in an Altuzarra Spring 2016 dress and espadrille pumps paired with the Altuzarra ‘Ghianda Knot’ saddle bag from the Fall 2015 collection. While the slightly Asian-inspired button detailing and carwash pleats set the frock apart, it really served more as a blank canvas for the Altuzarra purse.

January Jones: The Altuzarra Fall 2016 ‘Ghianda Bullrope’ saddle bag had to more strongly compete for attention with January’s look, as her Altuzarra Resort 2016 textured white top and slashed-to-there skirt in a zesty orange hue were nothing if not attention-grabbing. The bright, juicy colour was delicious, but sometimes slits just go one smidge too high.

January Jones In Ulyana Sergeenko Couture – 2015 Emmy Awards

January Jones In Ulyana Sergeenko Couture - 2015 Emmy Awards

January Jones attended the 2015 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 20) at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

Skipping a gown, she rocked an Ulyana Sergeenko Fall 2015 Couture jumpsuit in a ravishing shade of teal green.

You would be forgiven if you thought for a moment, as I did, that this look was a dress. It could have easily passed as such from the side profile with the brand’s signature dramatic flair coming by way of the sculpted, pointed bodice and gracefully draped detailing.

Tiffany & Co. jewels and a statement brooch completed the effect, however, her hair seemed a mere afterthought. I’ll have to ignore it as I won’t allow it to ruin an otherwise glorious entrance.

January Jones In Peter Pilotto – 2015 Summer TCA Tour FOX All-Star Party

January Jones In Peter Pilotto - 2015 Summer TCA Tour FOX All-Star Party

January Jones joined Lea Michele on the red carpet at the 2015 Summer TCA Tour FOX All-Star Party at Soho House on Thursday (August 6) in West Hollywood, California.

The ‘Mad Men’ actress wore a Peter Pilotto Fall 2015 shift dress permeated with a print inspired by board games.

With such a graphic-heavy print and vibrant colourway, I get why she opted to go nude with the sandals, but had she considered the aqua-blue or orange tones from her dress I believe she would’ve elevated the look further.

Do you agree, or are you too distracted by her eye makeup?

January Jones joined Kiernan Shipka for the 8th annual Oceana SeaChange Summer party on Saturday (August 1) in Dana Point, California.

I love the fashionable fusion of the classic shape and contemporary approach to detail imbued in this Maje ‘Riri’ fit-and-flare dress.

With its modern midi length that’s simultaneously modest and revealing, she amped up the look with bubblegum-pink Jimmy Choo ‘Lee’ suede sandals.

Zimmermann Melrose Place Flagship Opening

Zimmermann Melrose Place Flagship Opening

Nicky and Simone Zimmermann hosted a dinner party to celebrate the opening of the Zimmermann Melrose Place Flagship store on Wednesday (July 29) in Los Angeles, California.

Miranda Kerr: The model was no doubt top of the invite list, as she was one of the first to wear the Australian brand stateside. I love how decidedly pretty and ethereal her Zimmermann ‘Nightmarch Vine’ embroidered dress is, which she perfectly styled with matching nude Jimmy Choo sandals.

Chanel Iman: The models mood was totally different wearing a maroon Fall 2015 dress; similar to the two-piece look Kendall Jenner wore earlier this month. As gorgeous as she looked, the revealing, peek-a-boo gown felt a bit OTT for the occasion.

Comic-Con 2015 Red Carpet Roundup

Comic con roundup
The star-studded Comic-Con 2015 weekend brought out a host of other bold names for the range of parties and panel discussions in San Diego, California.

Natalie Dormer: Attending the Screen Gems panel, the ‘Game of Thrones’ actress wore a Mary Katrantzou lamur guipure lace and jacquard midi dress with blue-green embroidered accents. I like how her ponytail adds a fresh, breezy note to this darker look, but I have no words for the shoes that should have been a simple black or blue sandal if nothing else. You may remember that Shailene Woodley wore the same dress a few months ago.

Sarah Paulson: Fusing femininity with structure, this Suno cutout flared black dress was a successful look for Sarah at the Entertainment Weekly Comic-Con 2015 party. I was equally delighted to see her step outside the plain-black box with accessories including a silver Edie Parker clutch and silver Aldo shoes.

Kate Mara: Also joining the dark colour parade, Kate wore an embellished Valentino Fall 2015 design at the 20th Century Fox panel discussion. She let the mini dress shine all on its own with only minimal styling including a simple pair of black sandals and a few beaded bracelets, which I would argue were unnecessary too.
