amfAR’s Inspiration Gala Los Angeles Red Carpet Roundup

amfAR’s Inspiration Gala Los Angeles Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup from the amfAR’s Inspiration Gala Los Angeles held at Milk Studios on Thursday (October 29) in Hollywood, California.

Chloe Sevigny: The hippie vibe of this Gucci Spring 2016 polka dot dress was the perfect fit for Chloe’s style. Gucci glitter pink sandals and a Gucci burgundy plexi clutch completed her look.

Sarah Hyland: The actress dazzled not only because of her Jenny Packham blush-pink gown, but also thanks to her Lorraine Schwartz jewels. I’m not always the biggest fan of dark lips with a light-hued gown, but Sarah is selling the look from head-to-toe here.

Emma Roberts: A painterly floral print enriches the classic silhouette of Emma’s Alexander McQueen Resort 2016 frock. While some might find the Kotur feathered clutch overkill, I think adds a spark of personality.

2015 ELLE Women In Hollywood Awards Red Carpet Roundup

2015 ELLE Women In Hollywood Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The 22nd annual ELLE Women in Hollywood Awards were hosted last night (Oct. 19) at the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, California, where ELLE’s eight November cover stars, including Dakota Johnson, Kate Winslet, Ava DuVernay, Amy Schumer, Salma Hayek, Carey Mulligan, Gena Rowlands and Alicia Vikander, were honoured. There many other influential lovelies in attendance joining the cover girls, as well.

Dakota Johnson: As one of the honorees, Dakota maintained her minimalistic-chic approach in a black Calvin Klein Collection gown. Shame about the creases, but it was still a sensually glam, dressing gown moment for the young star. However, it did leave me feeling as if something was missing.

Miranda Kerr: Like Carey Mulligan, Miranda was a beauty in baby blue. The model wore Calvin Klein Collection that fused the soft hue with masculine tailoring and sexy, skin-baring lines. The belly-button-hiding belt across her enviable abs was perhaps used in an effort for a bit more event-appropriate coverage, even if it was a bit bizarre. Matching Christian Louboutin ‘Dorissima’ shoes, a Louboutin ‘Fiocco Box’ clutch, Swarovski by Miranda Kerr collection jewels, and a vivid red lip pulled the look together.

Zoe Saldana
: Dressed in tailored sophistication, the actress wore a fall-inspired Calvin Klein Collection outfit with Christian Louboutin Toeless Muse pumps. I only wish her hair had mirrored the sleek factor with a simple bun.

6th Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic

6th Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic

The 6th annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic took place in sunny Pacific Palisades, California on Saturday (October 17). Let’s see if these bevy of beauties can banish your winter blues.

Nina Dobrev: The actress wore a gorgeous marine-blue Badgley Mischka pleated chiffon dress styled with dainty Stuart Weitzman sandals.

Camilla Belle: Perhaps my favourite from the event, the actress stunned wearing an Andrew Gn Spring 2016 playful skater dress with nautical inspired stripes. The look was styled with Tamara Mellon ‘Frontline’ sandals and an Edie Parker clutch.

January Jones: I don’t think I have seen a more disastrous look for the ‘Mad Men’ actress. The Zimmermann dress ain’t so bad, but the styling is criminal.

Variety’s Power Of Women Luncheon Red Carpet Roundup

Variety's Power Of Women Luncheon Red Carpet Roundup

There were plenty more ladies who attended Variety’s Power Of Women Luncheon at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel on Friday (October 9) in Beverly Hills, California.

Thandie Newton: I love this bold, colourful choice by the British actress who paired her green and brown African-print blouse with a magenta silk skirt by Bestow Elan. It made such outstanding impact.

Reese Witherspoon: Going down an expected route, the actress wore a pretty Balenciaga frock with Christian Louboutin ‘Benedetta’ sandals which couldn’t have been more appropriate for a luncheon.

Salma Hayek: After a few appearance which I didn’t favour, sexy Salma was back. This sultry Bottega Veneta sheath does wonders for her curves. I love the colour combo here.

2015 Met Gala Roundup

"China: Through The Looking Glass" Costume Institute Benefit Gala - Arrivals

A flurry of even more bold names descended on red carpet of the ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’ 2015 Met Gala, hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4), where their colourful variety of looks only contributed to this year’s fashion extravaganza.

Anna Wintour
: As the gala co-host, the ‘Vogue’ editor-in-chief dressed thematically (for her, anyway) in a Chanel Spring 2015 Couture gown featuring dimensional, all-over poppy embroidery, which had been lengthened from the runway’s original shorter version. She should have maintained her signature cap sleeve, as the flower petal statement shoulders translated as a bit cumbersome, despite their inherent artistry.

Bee Shaffer: Like her mother, Bee also found inspiration in flowers, opting for a mahogany blossom gown by Alexander McQueen. I much preferred this look to Anna’s, especially with the enchantment of the beautifully embroidered Chinese cranes that alighted down the back of the dress.
