Jaime King In Jason Wu – 2017 Sundance NEXT FEST

Jaime King sizzled in red at the 2017 Sundance NEXT FEST on Saturday (August 12) in LA.

She wore a sophisticated Jason Wu Fall 2017 devoré dress; draped in style with a semi-sheer effect oozing effortless, feminine elegance.

I wasn’t totally sold on her grey Malone Souliers ‘Robyn’ pumps at first – mostly because I had wished she had worn the red Malone Souliers’ Maureen mules I have been drooling over – but when you consider the grey tone of the sheer fabric, her pumps actual pull this look nicely together.

A bold cherry-red lip finished the outfit off with old school panache.

Jaime King In Alice + Olivia – ‘The Last Tycoon’ LA Premiere

Jaime King joined Lily Collins and Matt Bomer for ‘The Last Tycoon’ premiere in LA on Thursday (July 27).

I can kind of see the vintage influence she was trying to channel here with this Alice + Olivia Fall 2017 ensemble, which not only plays into her love of retro style but also the 1930s setting of the new Amazon Studio series.

But, I just couldn’t get fully on board with the lace batwing sleeves of her sheer blouse—or the white pumps that peeked out beneath her wide-leg trousers.

What about you?

Vestiarie Collective Celebrates the Launch of Vintage with Karla Welch

Celebrity stylist Karla Welch hosted a private dinner in LA to celebrate the launch of Vintage on Vestiaire Collective at the Chateau Marmont on Wednesday (July 19).

Jaime King: This Vestiaire Collective vintage maxi dress was a very ‘Jaime’ look, what with its long, bohemian lines and bold fusion of Asian floral prints. The rich colour combination of royal hues with brighter, fiery oranges against her blonde locks is what I loved most.

Tracee Ellis Ross: Also indulging in an explosion of bright colour, Tracee also donned a vintage piece from Vestiaire Collective. With the play on sunrise and sunset hues, this peasant-style dress was a vibrant look for her. The belt was a great accessory, but I cannot say the same about the pink boots—although they did reinforce her quirky sartorial personality.

Jaime King In Christian Dior – Jo Malone London & Poppy Delevingne’s ‘Poptastic’ Launch

Jaime King was also seen celebrating the launch of Jo Malone London and Poppy Delevingne’s new fragrance duo ‘Poptastic’ on Thursday (June 15) in West Hollywood.

Like Poppy, Jaime embraced a light, breezy attitude with her look of the day.

Donning a Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2017 blue degrade chiffon dress, she completely sold its diaphanous charm to me.

I didn’t love the original lookbook presentation and its heavier styling notes. But Jaime quickly changed my mind on the feminine and floaty frock by pairing it with sophisticated Christian Dior white patent J’Adior slingbacks, Dior rings, and a wonderful watermelon-pink pout.

2017 Women In Film Max Mara Face of the Future Award

Max Mara celebrated Zoey Deutch as the 2017 Women In Film’s Face of the Future Award recipient on Monday (June 12) in LA, where other starlets joined in the festivities—all donning their Max Mara best.

Zoey Deutch: As the guest of honour, Zoey stood out in a striking red suit that delivered sultry intrigue amidst it menswear-inspired suiting. I love the balanced juxtaposition of the outsized, long blazer with the balconette bra and high-waist pant, all topped off with tonal Lizzie Fortunato tassel earrings.

Sophia Bush: Also looking to roomy, mannish proportions, Sophia was chic in this gray suiting. The cropped effect made it relevant and her styling, including white pumps and John Hardy jewels, made it effortless.

Olivia Culpo: Olivia wears sharp, clean lines so well, and this ensemble was witness to that with the well-tailored yet feminine blouse and the precision-fit, patterned pants.

16th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball Red Carpet Roundup

While Zendaya channeled retro elegance for the 16th annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball on Saturday (June 3) in Brentwood, California, the other stars in attendance chose their own distinct routes of glamour for the occasion.

Jaime King: For Jaime, that meant an embellished Miu Miu Resort 2017 midi dress that took cues from the ’90s rave scene in its smattering of crystals and its printed feather motif. Styled with equally crystallized shoes, this ensemble would make any magpie jealous. I actually loved the free-wheeling sense of energy the look brought to the purple carpet that it ironically matched.

Halle Berry: Halle had plenty of glitz in her Gosia Baczyńska Spring 2017 sequined dress and metallic Yeon coat, which shone an even brighter light on her bump that she showed no shyness in flaunting. Yet, as tends to be the case with Halle’s looks lately, the overall effect was quite dated. Removing the jacket and the sheer turtleneck piece from the dress—plus a sleeker ‘do—would have been a step in the right direction. Jewels from Eva Fehren, Ileana Makri and Sylva & Cie completed her look.

Rebecca Gayheart: Inspired by the Grecian goddess look that used to be so prevalent, Rebecca wore a draped white Derek Lam Fall 2010 gown.
