6th Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic

6th Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic

The 6th annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic took place in sunny Pacific Palisades, California on Saturday (October 17). Let’s see if these bevy of beauties can banish your winter blues.

Nina Dobrev: The actress wore a gorgeous marine-blue Badgley Mischka pleated chiffon dress styled with dainty Stuart Weitzman sandals.

Camilla Belle: Perhaps my favourite from the event, the actress stunned wearing an Andrew Gn Spring 2016 playful skater dress with nautical inspired stripes. The look was styled with Tamara Mellon ‘Frontline’ sandals and an Edie Parker clutch.

January Jones: I don’t think I have seen a more disastrous look for the ‘Mad Men’ actress. The Zimmermann dress ain’t so bad, but the styling is criminal.

Variety’s Power Of Women Luncheon Red Carpet Roundup

Variety's Power Of Women Luncheon Red Carpet Roundup

There were plenty more ladies who attended Variety’s Power Of Women Luncheon at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel on Friday (October 9) in Beverly Hills, California.

Thandie Newton: I love this bold, colourful choice by the British actress who paired her green and brown African-print blouse with a magenta silk skirt by Bestow Elan. It made such outstanding impact.

Reese Witherspoon: Going down an expected route, the actress wore a pretty Balenciaga frock with Christian Louboutin ‘Benedetta’ sandals which couldn’t have been more appropriate for a luncheon.

Salma Hayek: After a few appearance which I didn’t favour, sexy Salma was back. This sultry Bottega Veneta sheath does wonders for her curves. I love the colour combo here.

2015 Met Gala Roundup

"China: Through The Looking Glass" Costume Institute Benefit Gala - Arrivals

A flurry of even more bold names descended on red carpet of the ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’ 2015 Met Gala, hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4), where their colourful variety of looks only contributed to this year’s fashion extravaganza.

Anna Wintour
: As the gala co-host, the ‘Vogue’ editor-in-chief dressed thematically (for her, anyway) in a Chanel Spring 2015 Couture gown featuring dimensional, all-over poppy embroidery, which had been lengthened from the runway’s original shorter version. She should have maintained her signature cap sleeve, as the flower petal statement shoulders translated as a bit cumbersome, despite their inherent artistry.

Bee Shaffer: Like her mother, Bee also found inspiration in flowers, opting for a mahogany blossom gown by Alexander McQueen. I much preferred this look to Anna’s, especially with the enchantment of the beautifully embroidered Chinese cranes that alighted down the back of the dress.

Christopher Kane & mytheresa.com Dinner

Christopher Kane & mytheresacom Dinner

The starlets aligned to celebrate London-based designer Christopher Kane along with MyTheresa.com at a dinner hosted at Chateau Marmont in Hollywood, California on Tuesday (April 28).

Jaime King: After her last appearance, anything would have been an improvement. So perhaps that is why I am feeling more positive than usual by the pregnant actress’s Christopher Kane coat with contrast lapels and pockets, blue top, and bag, which combined boxy, androgynous styling with an ever-so-slight hint of girly allure in the blue lace. Barbara Bui brogues and bare-faced makeup complemented the mannish effect.

Hailee Steinfeld: The starlet took a significantly more feminine approach in a Christopher Kane sheer, floral-embroidered top and figure-hugging, zipper pencil skirt. Hailee continues to show us a range of styles, with this one showcasing her sultrier side. So I’m glad she added the youthful zing of the magenta-pink Christopher Kane bag and corresponding bright lip for some lighthearted fun.

Nora Zehetner: Showing off the power of sporty-chic separates, Zora donned a Christopher Kane ensemble consisting of jogger-style, drawstring pants elevated by a basket-weave-patterned top and platform sandals.

Burberry ‘London In Los Angeles’ Event

Burberry 'London In Los Angeles' Event

Burberry celebrated its ‘London In Los Angeles’ event, which took place at the iconic Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, California. As with any Burberry event, there were of course many celebrities in attendance.

Jaime King: I am not sure what kind of statement the actress was trying to make here, but words fail me.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: Oozing sex appeal without trying, the British actress, who is very much part of the Burberry family, wore a contrast print mini from the Fall 2015 collection. I’m sure even the ‘Legs or Boobs’ police will let off the model for looking so drop dead gorgeous.

Rose Byrne: The sheer trend was a hot one on this red carpet. Unlike Jaime, I don’t feel repelled by this look as Rose pulls off this look with style and effortless grace. The gold accessories really enhanced the luxe feel of this look.
