James Marsden In Thom Sweeney – ‘The Best Of Me’ LA Premiere

James Marsden In Thom Sweeney - 'The Best Of Me' LA Premiere

James Marsden joined his beautiful co-star Michelle Monaghan on the red carpet for the LA premiere of ‘The Best Of Me’ held at Regal Cinemas L.A. Live on Tuesday (October 7) in Los Angeles, California.

Bringing menswear back to the forefront, the actor makes us swoon in his Thom Sweeney notched-lapel cool-blue suit, which brings out those baby-blue eyes.

It’s not just the colour of the suit that should be admired, but also the sleek styling, consisting of a striped shirt, grey tie and Givenchy shoes.

While Eddie Redmayne is probably the front runner for best-dressed man of the year, I would say James should also be in consideration for his consistency and ability to always impress with something new.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Menswear 15 August

Gents have been scrubbing up nicely on the red carpet this week. Here is a quick roundup.

James Marsden: The actor was back and looking sharper than ever, attending the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Grants Banquet wearing a Z Zegna grey two-button notched-lapel suit styled with tan Givenchy laceups. I’m missing a tie thanks to the charming navy print pocket square.

Channing Tatum: The actor also opted for some shades of grey, donning a Gucci windowpane two-button notched-lapel suit styled with a white dress shirt and steel-grey tie, with black laceups rounding out his dapper look.

Robert Pattinson: Having disappointed many of you with his last look, it appears Rob made a conscious effort on this occasion, looking very handsome, in his usual slightly dishevelled way, donning a classic black Gucci suit. I love the shimmering black tie and the maroon laceups for two out-of-the-box touches.

James Marsden In Kent & Curwen by Simon Spurr – ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’ World Premiere

James Marsden In Kurt & Curwen by Simon Spurr - 'X-Men Days Of Future Past' World Premiere

James Marsden attends the ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’ world premiere at Jacob Javits Center on May 10, 2014 in New York City.

The actor, who’s never been shy at working a look which sees him step outside the box, wore a Kent & Curwen by Simon Spurr two-button charcoal grey checked suit with a striped black and white shirt.

If I were to title this look I would call it pattern play; perfectly executed I might add with a black tie and black Kurt Geiger shoes rounding out his look.

‘For The Love of Cinema’ Dinner Party Menswear Roundup

'For The Love of Cinema' Dinner Party Menswear Roundup

Here is another quick menswear roundup from the fellows who attended the ‘For The Love of Cinema’ dinner party hosted at Urban Zen in New York City on Thursday (April 17).

James Marsden: Sporting a buzz cut, which doesn’t in any way diminish his charming good looks, the actor wore a navy Ermenegildo Zegna suit and a complementary shirt which really enhanced his eyes. Brown lace-ups completed his look.

Dev Patel: The British actor went for a more laidback look, wearing a printed navy tee shirt and black jeans smartened up with a burgundy blazer, which has always been a great colour on him. Sadly, though, for a dinner party his shoes look a bit scruffy.

Anton Yelchin: The actor wore a Dior Homme deep-blue wool-and-silk notch-lapel tuxedo styled with a white cotton shirt and black leather derbies, opting to go sans tie. You may remember that Jeremy Renner wore this same suit to the ‘American Hustle’ LA screening late last year.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Lupita Nyong’o In Gucci & James Marsden In Valentino

Best Dressed of The Week - Lupita Nyong'o in Gucci & James Marsden in Valentino

I can’t believe I forgot to announce the winners of last week BDOTW; thanks Alina.

It was quite an easy win for Lupita Nyong’o in her breath-taking Gucci gown from the SAG Awards. With two more events to go, I’m excited to see if she can top this one.

James Marsden had a bit more competition but eventually won for looking so very dapper in his Valentino suit.

2014 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards Menswear Roundup

2014 Critics' Choice Movie Awards Menswear RoundupThe men put their sartorial stamp on the 19th annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, hosted on Thursday night (January 16) at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. Here, a look at the handsome highlights.

Bradley Cooper: The Best Supporting Actor nominee, who also made it onstage to accept the trophy for Best Acting Ensemble in ‘American Hustle,’ combined the best of both worlds—comfort and class—in his Bottega Veneta ‘Quetsche’ flannel plum suit and baby-blue button-up shirt. He looked effortlessly fine in this tie-less entrance, and the subtle yet striking shade couldn’t have been more compelling.

James Marsden
: I could barely believe my eyes when I saw ‘The Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues’ actor on the red carpet in an Ovadia & Sons grey plaid suit, paired with a dark navy tie and tan Givenchy lace-up shoes. It was bold move, but he still wore it well. Do you agree?

Jeremy Renner
: Forgetting the more informal trappings of his co-star Bradley, the ‘American Hustle’ actor dressed up in an Ermenegildo Zegna one-button, black tuxedo with tonal satin notch lapel tuxedo, along with a white shirt, black bow tie and black shoes.
