BDOTW 23 Dec

Xu Qing wearing a Zuhair Murad Couture ballgown was your best dressed this week.

I opted for Juliette Lewis in Monique Lhuillier. I love the colour of the gown, the voluminous skirt, plus the decorative styling which included a vintage bejewelled headband.

The look was bold without being brash and fun without being comical.

As for the fellas, James Marsden in Dolce & Gabbana was the clear winner. On trend in blue, he mixed things up wearing a dual-colour navy-and-grey suit, looking incredibly dapper and handsome in the process.

James Marsden In Dolce & Gabbana - ‘Anchorman 2 The Legend Continues’ New York Premiere

James Marsden joined his co-stars Kristen Wiig, Meagan Good and Christina Applegate at the Beacon Theatre on Sunday evening (December 15) for the ‘Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues’ premiere in New York City.

The actor kept the five o’clock shadow and the blue suiting trend going into its second week, working another sleek shawl-collar Dolce & Gabbana suit styled with grey Prince of Wales check trousers.

His blue blazer along with his grey tie bring out his dreamy baby-blue eyes.

Brown lace-up shoes and a teal polka-dot pocket square not only pull this together but also punch up the look.

The fit couldn’t be more perfect.

Menswear Round up

Five o’clock shadows intact, Richard Armitage, James Marsden and Luke Evans attended movie premieres last night in Madrid and London.

Richard Armitage: For the Madrid premiere of ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’, the British actor again opted for various shades of blue. Keeping his Unconditional blazer, the actor added Vivienne Westwood plaid trousers to the ensemble. In lieu of a pocket square for a pop of colour, the actor selected windowpane pants that were navy and grey with a touch of turquoise that matched his tie. A brown belt and dark brown shoes pulled the look together.

James Marsden: Wearing a midnight three-piece Dolce & Gabbana suit for the London premiere of ‘Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues’, the actor hit all the right colour notes by punching up his look via a red trimmed pocket square, pink and purple striped tie and check shirt.

Luke Evans: Selecting a shirt with a wide neck collar, as the current menswear trends dictate as stylish, the ‘Fast and Furious’ actor went with a dark tone on tone three-piece Boss by Hugo Boss pinstriped suit for the Madrid premiere of ‘The Hobbit.’ Though the knot of his tie could have been a bit thicker, the overall look is a decent one.

James Marsden In Saint Laurent - ‘The Butler’ LA Premiere

James Marsden was looking as handsome as ever while attending the LA premiere of ‘The Butler’ held at Regal Cinemas L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California on Monday evening.

Opting for a dressy casual look, the actor wore a Saint Laurent light-grey notched lapel suit styled with a dark-grey pocket square and white shirt.

Adding a navy cardigan takes some of formality out of his well-tailored summer suit, plus it pulls the black shoes and the pocket square together rather nicely.

Do you agree?

James Marsden In Dolce & Gabbana - The Butler' New York Premiere

James Marsden joined Oprah Winfrey, Minka Kelly, Forest Whitaker and Naomi Watts on the red carpet for ‘The Butler’ New York premiere at the Ziegfeld Theater in New York City yesterday evening.

Looking as handsome as always, the blue-eyed actor wore a dark-chocolate Dolce & Gabbana suit with a gingham shirt with a solid white collar, which complemented his white pocket square.

This seemed a very dapper look until I got to the shoes.

We’ve seen women wearing heels one – and in some extreme cases, three – sizes too big for them, but until now I had never seen a dude wearing shoes a size too big.
