Comic-Con 2015 Red Carpet Roundup

Comic con roundup
The star-studded Comic-Con 2015 weekend brought out a host of other bold names for the range of parties and panel discussions in San Diego, California.

Natalie Dormer: Attending the Screen Gems panel, the ‘Game of Thrones’ actress wore a Mary Katrantzou lamur guipure lace and jacquard midi dress with blue-green embroidered accents. I like how her ponytail adds a fresh, breezy note to this darker look, but I have no words for the shoes that should have been a simple black or blue sandal if nothing else. You may remember that Shailene Woodley wore the same dress a few months ago.

Sarah Paulson: Fusing femininity with structure, this Suno cutout flared black dress was a successful look for Sarah at the Entertainment Weekly Comic-Con 2015 party. I was equally delighted to see her step outside the plain-black box with accessories including a silver Edie Parker clutch and silver Aldo shoes.

Kate Mara: Also joining the dark colour parade, Kate wore an embellished Valentino Fall 2015 design at the 20th Century Fox panel discussion. She let the mini dress shine all on its own with only minimal styling including a simple pair of black sandals and a few beaded bracelets, which I would argue were unnecessary too.

2015 Critics’ Choice Television Awards Red Carpet Roundup

2015 Critics' Choice Television Awards Red Carpet Roundup

A crush of additional lovelies joined Charlize Theron and Cat Deeley at the 2015 Critics’ Choice Television Awards, hosted at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (May 31) in Beverly Hills, California.

Angie Harmon: The actress was vibrant in a beautifully printed Christian Siriano Fall 2015 frock with a primly feminine tea-length skirt and a much sultrier, off-the-shoulder neckline that might have needed a nudge up. As is, it looks a bit close to a wardrobe malfunction.

Yvonne Strahovski
: The intense sky-blue hue of this Michael Kors Spring 2015 gown was enough to strike a beautiful chord in ‘The Astronaut Wives Club’ actress’s minimalistic silhouette. I love the additional punch of colour provided by the coral-red lip.

Anna Faris: Also opting for a sleekly simple aesthetic, Ana struck the right balance between subtle and striking with her ballet-pink ZAC Zac Posen Fall 2015 high-low dress. Keeping her accessories in line with the frock, she wore tonal Kurt Geiger London ‘Bond’ pumps and an Edie Parker ‘Jean’ clutch.

2015 NBC Upfront Presentation Red Carpet Event & Party Red Carpet Roundup

2015 NBC Upfront Presentation Red Carpet Event & Party Red Carpet Roundup

The 2015 NBC Upfront Presentation held at Radio City Music Hall on Monday (May 11) in New York City also saw the attendance of plenty of other stars who joined Sophia Bush for the red carpet event and party.

Miranda Cosgrove: The length of her Sophia Kah lace peplum dress may lead to a few objections, but the demure, feminine nature of the look is lovely, especially when appropriately styled with Stuart Weitzman metallic sandals and an Edie Parker clutch.

Eva Longoria: Eva’s Gabriela Cadena dress was simple enough yet the poor fit and satin paneling took away from what could have been an effortlessly minimalistic statement. We won’t even discuss the white pumps.

Darby Stanchfield: Rather ironically, the ‘Scandal’ star’s The2ndSkinCo dress featured a non-figure-hugging, billowy silhouette accented by a big bow at the back. I love the vibrancy of the crimson hue here, which she only elevated more with the addition of a multi-coloured Kotur clutch and matching red pumps and lipstick.

Harper by Harper’s Bazaar Launch Party

Harper by Harper's Bazaar Launch Party
The ‘harper by Harper’s BAZAAR’ launch party at Violet Grey with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley on Tuesday (April 21) in Los Angeles, California celebrated the latest issue of the magazine geared to the young, stylish reader.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: As cover girl and guest editor of the latest magazine issue, Rosie played host in an Alessandra Rich Spring 2015 gown. Yet I cannot say this is what I would have expected the model to wear for the occasion. Firmly planted in the ’80s, the era which strongly inspired the designer’s spring collection, the Dynasty-esque dress does benefit from a more elegantly sleek, streamlined silhouette. And I’m glad she skipped the lookbook’s belt. I believe it’s the bow that gives me most pause. Yay or nay?

Kiernan Shipka: From the ’80s to a couple more decades back, the starlet was also in a retro mood with her red Valentino collared, mini frock. Simple and charming.

Jaimie Alexander: Taking a sexier route as she is sometimes wont to do, Jamie wore a Mugler Spring 2015 leggy ensemble with cutouts, styled with Tamara Mellon shoes and an updo.

Jaimie Alexander In Mugler – ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ LA Premiere

Jaimie Alexander In Mugler - ‘Avengers Age Of Ultron’ LA Premiere

Jaimie Alexander attended the Los Angeles Premiere of Marvel’s ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ at Dolby Theatre on Monday (April 13) in Hollywood, California.

For the ‘Thor’ premiere, Jaimie made sure all eyes were on her, but this time she went for style over upstaging the main star, wearing a Mugler Spring 2015 ensemble.

The look feels really modern on the runway; I love the futuristic vibe imbued by the metallic details, but it falls flat on Jaimie, which I’m really surprised about as this look should’ve been perfect for her.

The styling is at fault, with the main offender being those studded pumps and the necklaces courtesy of Shahla Karimi Jewellery which overcooks the look.

Are you sharing my disappointment?
