Willow Smith In Chanel & Jada Pinkett Smith In Alexander McQueen – 15th Annual From Slavery to Freedom Gala

While the boys are away in Asia, Jada Pinkett Smith and daughter Willow Smith attended the Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking 15th Annual From Slavery to Freedom Event held at Sofitel Hotel in Los Angeles, California yesterday evening.

There is a lot going on here that I don’t like.

Willow Smith: The young singer, who has had more misses than hits, wore a Chanel Spring 2013 jumpsuit which we have seen twice before on Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Miley Cyrus. The problem here is that she is way too short for the look; the pants are dragging on the floor, so you only get a peek at her Christian Louboutin ‘Manovra’ slingback pumps. The cropped jacket is a cute addition, as is the hat, but that blonde wig is ridiculous.

Jada Pinkett Smith: After burning myself on a recent trip to Portugal I should feel some sympathy for Jada, but I don’t. That orange over-tanned glow and her well-tailored peachy-coloured Alexander McQueen suit with satin trims do not go well together.

Jada Pinkett Smith In Miu Miu – ‘Free Angela and All Political Prisoners’ New York Premiere

With her executive producer hat on, Jada Pinkett Smith took to the red carpet at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture to attend the ‘Free Angela and All Political Prisoners’ New York premiere yesterday evening.

She was glowing once again, wearing a Miu Miu sunshine-yellow gown.

Her halter chiffon gown with a side slit is soft and ultra feminine, which is in stark contrast to her edgy look from earlier in the day.

Opting for loose waves and a deep-red lip colour on this occasion, Jada styled her look with a silver Kara Ross clutch and black-and-gold Saint Laurent ankle-cuff ‘Paloma’ sandals.

As always, Jada knocks it out of the fashion ball park. Despite the layers, she doesn’t let this gown overwhelm her petite frame.

Jada Pinkett-Smith In Peter Pilotto – Out In New York City

Jada Pinkett-Smith lit up the streets of Manhattan yesterday afternoon wearing a very colourful ensemble.

The Peter Pilotto Resort 2013 look, which is a stunning masterpiece and a feast for the eyes, features a yellow sleeveless jacquard silk blouse with swirling sequin embellishments and a contrasting white collar.

She paired this modern top with a geometric-print pencil skirt from the same collection, which was equally mesmerizing and hypnotic.

This might be colour and print overload for some, but I love her styling over the look book as I prefer the yellow top with the green skirt.

Simple cobalt-blue pumps and ombre curly locks completed her look.

Jada Pinkett-Smith In Les Chiffoniers – Out In New York City

As someone who has a phobia of wearing white, due to guaranteed spillage, I find myself surprisingly drawn to the all-white look Jada Pinkett Smith sported while out in New York City yesterday.

Her hyper-modern sporty look featured a collarless coat, sexy silk top and Les Chiffoniers white leather drawstring pants with a neon-yellow stripe.

With some many white pumps worn by celebrities these days, she opted for something different, wearing a pair of Nicholas Kirkwood neon-yellow pumps with a graffiti-inspired motif.

A black crocodile tote and a selection of gold necklaces completed her luxe, sporty look.

Front Row @ Michael Kors Fall 2013

This Fall 2013 fashion week had a very low celeb count, but at Michael Kors his front row was jam-packed with celebs.

Hilary Swank: The Oscar-winning actress wore a striped look from the designer’s Spring 2013 collection. Her summery tri-colour dress was styled with a Michael Kors ‘Gia’ clutch and midnight-blue pumps, both from the Spring 2013 collection.

Zoe Saldana: Adding to the colourful vibe in the front row, Zoe wore a head-to-toe Pre-Fall 2013 look, which consisted of a pink long-sleeved top and skirt, a matching ‘Monroe’ clutch and black open-toe ‘Emma’ booties.

Karolina Kurkova: The model wore a sexy Spring 2013 striped ensemble with a wool coat over her shoulders. All white accessories added a punch to her look – yes, even the pumps.

Jada Pinkett-Smith In Tom Ford – ‘Free Angela & All Political Prisoners’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Jada Pinkett-Smith went for white for the ‘Free Angela & All Political Prisoners’ premiere at the 2012 Toronto Film Festival.

Jada wore a form-fitting white dress with an open back by Tom Ford for the event.

It’s not the first time I’ve seen this dress grace our pages – Jennifer Lopez has worn it in red, while both Kate Beckinsale and Jennifer Lawrence opted for the black version – and I understand why.

Not only did Tom Ford create a dress that is both elegant and sexy, it’s also a relatively blank canvas on which to accesorise.

In Jada’s case, she’s opted for a pair of strappy cream shoes and a geometric clutch.

Her signature quiff and gold earrings finished her look.
