“L.A. Candy” Book Signing, LA

Returning to her natural roots Lauren Conrad signed copies of her book “L.A. Candy” By Lauren Conrad for fans at the Grove yesterday.

Sporting a familiar hairstyle the former ‘Hills’ star wore a satin black mini-skirt, black Louboutin’s and a tie dyed batwing sleeved blouse.

It is me or does Lauren seem sincerely happy?  I guess not having to film the Hills is a welcome relief for her.

Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen Premiere, Sydney

Isabel Lucas split from her co-stars to promote “Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen” in Australia this week.

Whilst Megan Fox was dazzling the crowd in a bright fuschia pink Armani Privé dress, the Australian actress opted for a black embroidered Marchesa Fall 2009 jumpsuit.

Eh??? Jumpsuit I hear you say. Surprisingly this is a jumpsuit or a playsuit as I like to call the short versions.

On Isabel it’s hard to appreciate the embroidered detail because her playsuit has a black lining the runway version doesn’t have.

Tights, Jimmy Choo Tahiti glitter peep-toe pumps and a black headband completed the look.

Headbands will never been the same after Paris Hilton overused them during Cannes Film Festival.

‘Coco Avant Chanel’ Australian Premiere

Lara Bingle opted for one piece from the Chanel Fall 2009 collection to attend this premiere.

Her black bouclé jacket had white and black ruffled cuff detail, but thankfully not the white collar.

I don’t think the collar would have worked with her casual look of jeans and YSL ankle boots.

Carol’s Daughter Hand And Foot Spa, New York

Rihanna attended this opening wearing a very smart ensemble.

She teamed a sexy figure hugging slate grey A.L.C Twisty dress with a tailored Preen Hawk wool blazer and cute polka dot peep-toe heels.

It’s such a shame her wild hair is such a distraction from all that’s good about this look.

“Late Show With David Letterman”, New York

Jada Pinkett-Smith looked outstanding wearing a figure-hugging khaki Dolce & Gabbana strapless bustier dress with metallic skyscraper heels.

Jada’s body looks amazing and this dress full appreciates her stunning figure.

It looks like she has eased up on the weights which I’m very thankful for.

Celebration Dinner Honoring 2009 Los Angeles Film Festival Keyote Films, LA

Here’s another Dolce & Gabbana dress, this time it black and worn by Scarlett Johansson.

I love the ruched detail which runs down the front of her fitted dress and the cute puffy shoulders.

Gold satin peep toe pumps complete the look.

Hopefully we’ll see her wearing more colourful dresses in the future.

“Bruno” Paris Premiere

For some reason Isla Fisher’s reminds me of a mermaid in her strapless sea-green embellished Julien McDonald dress.

I think this is one of her worst ever red carpet looks.

The dress is looks like something you could pick up in a market plus her hair and make-up are just awful. Hugely disappointed in her.

Jennifer Hudson pick up her outstanding new artist Award wearing a black Peter Sorenon dress, which had a feathered detail on the hip.

She completed her look with Givenchy lace ankle sandals.

Beyonce perform her song Halo wearing a gorgeous white gown, with a black band, and delicate embellishments on the bodice, which also cascaded down her skirt.

Jada Pinkett Smith wore a maroon strapless Monique Lhuillier gown, with a a vintage Judith Lieber belt.

I must say I am a bit disappointed the bigger stars did not take to the red carpet.

Taraji P. Henson added her increasing star quality to the red carpet wearing a gorgeous lemon halter neck mermaid Zac Posen gown.

I love the ruffled detail down the middle, and the layering of the hem.

A very chic Rosario Dawson walked the red carpet wearing a black silk taffeta Rafael Cennamo full-skirted dress.

Sanaa Lathan looked ravishing in this daring plunge neck jersey Donna Karan gown with black straps.

I am not a fan of Dakota Fanning’s nude strapless down. It feels too naked.

Alfre Woodard wore a Tadashi fuschia iridescent crinkled silk chiffon fly away cocktail dress. Her look was accessorized with a Mary Norton gold clutch.

Chandra Wilson impressed me on this red carpet.

Usually I find a fault, but the hair, the make-up, the jewels, the Daniel Swarovski clutch and her orange Pamella Roland Spring 2008 gown are all faultless.

Can you believe that this is Rudy Huxtable aka Keshia Knight Pulliam?

She stands out on the red carpet wearing an electric blue gown.

After Taraji, Vanessa Williams wore my second favourite gown on this red carpet. I love the colour, and jeweled detail on this one-shouldered gown.

Like Chandra, Tichina Arnold looks flawless. This baby blue gown really stands out and makes her glow.

Holly Robinson Peete wore a coral and silver Naeem Khan Spring 2008 patterned cocktail dress, with pewter strappy heels.

December 23rd, 2008

I have said many times over the year that I love it when couples are well co-ordinated, and there was no couple more co-ordinated, nor more stylish than the Smiths.

Sometimes they were colour co-ordinated like in grey to the left. Or they just complimented each other well like in the other two pictures.

Whether it was premiere or attending Nelson Mendela’s birthday bash, Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith, stood head and shoulders above every other couple.

Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson, may have won this if it was not for Joshua. He has no style. He has a lot to learn from his girlfriend.

Brad and Angelina in their black on black ensembles did not even come close.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith arrive at a dinner in honor of Nelson Mandela on his 90th birthday at Hyde Park during June 25 in London.

The actress wore a olive Monique Lhuillier cocktail dress, with a peacock feathered neckline.

The designer of this dress, Monique Lhuillier, wore the same dress when she attended the Allure Magazine Cover Party for Eva Longoria Parker last month at Beso in Hollywood.

As much as I adore Monique in her own design, I loved the shoes Jada wore with the dress, so she wins for me.

“Super Blonde” Photocall, Paris

I do like Anna Faris’ Dolce & Gabbana dress, but I just hate the colour.

The pink is just way too pink. I understand that it fits with the whole ideal of her chick flick, but it’s too pepto bismol for me.

“The Secret Life Of Bees” Premiere, LA

Newly engaged Jennifer Hudson showed off her glorious curves, wearing a navy Tadashi Collection Fall 2008 sheath dress.

Jada Pinkett Smith wore a bronze Oscar de la Renta Fall 2008 cocktail dress, with a tulle overlay.

The dress looks nice, but I REALLY don’t like her hairstyle.

A very tall and gown up Dakota Fanning wear a strapless LBD, with purple velvet heels.

Queen Latifah could have gone a shade lighter on the lipstick, but I do love her Tadashi Collection Fall 2008 sheath dress, which she wears with jewel encrusted heels.

Robert Ramos Haircare Launch Party, LA

Jessica Alba is already back to her fabulous best wearing a Salvatore Ferragamo LBD, with YSL heels.

“Sex and the City: The Movie” DVD Launch, New York

Unfortunately Sarah Jessica Parker’s hair ruins this look for me. The front part with the bangs, looks like a hair piece which has been attached to her head, as it appears to be a different colour to her hair on the side.

I love the smoke print Alexander McQueen Resort 2009 sheath dress, and I am sure the Marlboro lights loving Carrie would approve, but the hair…noooo.

Cynthia Nixon was very neutral in an all beige look, consisting of a satin pleated Calvin Klein Resort 2009 dress, and matching square-toe heels.

For me Cynthia was the best dressed at this event, and that is not something I have ever said about her.

I love the velvet eggplant Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2008 suit and the chain-mail top, such a great look. But Kim Cattrall goes and ruins it by leaving her top open to expose her bra.

Yes she wanted to steal the attention away from SJP, but was this the right way to go about it?

I think not.

Dreamball 2008, Berlin

Eva Mendes’ flirty sequin dress was a dazzling choice, but I just wish it was more form-fitting.

“Battle in Seattle” Screening, New York

Charlize Theron turned up the heat in her red hot satin one-shoulder Christian Dior dress, which she matched with Christian Louboutin bow heels.

This is simply an elegant and stunning look for the actress. As we would expect.

Fashion Fringe Grand Final, London

Dita von Teese, who is doing that foot posing thingy she does so well, wore a black RM by Roland Mouret Pigalle stretch wool dress, which as I said earlier, is fast becoming the IT celebrity dress of the season.

She completed her head to to black look, with black square-toe Alexander McQueen heels and a black Christian Louboutin Minilou clutch.

The 100th Episode Of “Dog Whisperer”, LA

Jada Pinkett Smith wore a stunning turquoise Jasmine di Milo sheath dress, which interestingly wore with a red/black belt.

Jada choices are never predictable and never boring.

September 16th, 2008

This has to be one of the best dresses I have ever seen on Jada Pinkett-Smith.

The colour is divine, the sequin detailing is dazzling and the poufy skirt is so cute.

She is already a contender for Best Dressed this week.

Kerry Washington also knocks it out of the fashion ball park with this stunning Oscar de la Renta strapless terracotta and ivory gown.

She wears a pair of dazzling earrings to match the dress.

Eva La Rue wore a canary yellow dress, which could double up as a chemise.

Star Jones continues to defy her years by wearing a cute white and black trimmed polo shirt dress, that would be more suitable for a girl half her age, but she wears it well enough.
