Imogen Poots In Valentino – The Olivier Awards

Imogen Poots was also at the 2018 Olivier Awards on Sunday (April 8) in London, joining Kara Tointon and Ophelia Lovibond.

Clearly, a trend of this red carpet was sweeping gowns with off-the-shoulder romance, and Imogen beautifully obliged in this scintillating Valentino design.

The rush of glinting sequins throughout made for a sort of luminous movement throughout the layers of tulle, adding both dimension and dazzle.

I like how her chopped bob and smoky eye counteracted any tinges of overly precious appeal, instead adding a zap of modern edge to the enchanting princess gown.

Imogen Poots In Prada – ‘I Kill Giants’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

I was pleasantly surprised by Prada recently, with Jessica Chastain’s captivating gown at the 2017 Toronto Film Festival.

But, my brief love affair ended abruptly when Imogen Poots entered the film festival circuit for the ‘I Kill Giants’ TIFF premiere last Saturday (September 9), as I was quickly reminded why Prada can be a difficult sell on the red carpet.

It wasn’t just the lacklustre silhouette of the dress, but also the unflattering satin-y fabrication and the haphazard fringed beading that were problematic.

Add to that the black platform pumps and a messier approach to hair and makeup, and it’s a recipe for a redo. There isn’t anything I’d salvage here.

Imogen Poots In Valentino – ‘She’s Funny That Way’ LA Premiere

Imogen Poots In Valentino - ‘She’s Funny That Way’ LA Premiere

Imogen Poots joined Jennifer Aniston for the premiere of ‘She’s Funny That Way’ at Harmony Gold on Wednesday (August 19) in Los Angeles, California.

The actress wore a gorgeous garden floral Valentino Resort 2016 lace dress cut in a relaxed flared style for maximum versatility.

While I love the romantic femininity oozing from this girlish look, I can’t say I’m a fan of the chunky Brian Atwood heels.

2015 Met Gala Roundup

"China: Through The Looking Glass" Costume Institute Benefit Gala - Arrivals

A flurry of even more bold names descended on red carpet of the ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’ 2015 Met Gala, hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4), where their colourful variety of looks only contributed to this year’s fashion extravaganza.

Anna Wintour
: As the gala co-host, the ‘Vogue’ editor-in-chief dressed thematically (for her, anyway) in a Chanel Spring 2015 Couture gown featuring dimensional, all-over poppy embroidery, which had been lengthened from the runway’s original shorter version. She should have maintained her signature cap sleeve, as the flower petal statement shoulders translated as a bit cumbersome, despite their inherent artistry.

Bee Shaffer: Like her mother, Bee also found inspiration in flowers, opting for a mahogany blossom gown by Alexander McQueen. I much preferred this look to Anna’s, especially with the enchantment of the beautifully embroidered Chinese cranes that alighted down the back of the dress.

Who Wore Stella McCartney Better…Imogen Poots or Cameron Diaz?

Who Wore Stella McCartney Better

Imogen Poots was the first to don this sweet Stella McCartney LBD with a plunging neckline when she stepped onto the red carpet back in January for the ‘That Awkward Moment’ LA premiere.

Sporting her signature purposely curly updo, with piercing cat-eyes and Christian Louboutin patterned pumps, this was yet another playful look from the young actress.

Three months later Cameron Diaz wore the same dress to the LA premiere for ‘The Another Woman’.

Wearing black and Stella McCartney are no surprises when it comes to Cameron, but I was surprised by her choice of footwear, with the cuff stumpifying her enviable long legs, so Imogen wins for me.

Imogen Poots In Proenza Schouler – 2014 Met Gala

Imogen Poots In Proenza Schouler - 2014 Met Gala

Imogen Poots attended the 2014 Met Gala on Monday (May 5) in New York City alongside designers Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough of Proenza Schouler.

The actress wore a black flock-printed embroidered dress from their Fall 2014 collection, which was styled with black lizard criss-cross Proenza Schouler sandals and Jennifer Meyer jewels.

I wanted to love this but, between the droopy bodice and heavy shoes, this was a no for me. This had the potential to be a great look.

Imogen Poots In Nina Ricci – ‘Need For Speed’ LA Premiere

Imogen Poots In Nina Ricci - 'Need For Speed' LA Premiere

Imogen Poots looked heavenly gracing the red carpet for the LA premiere of ‘Need For Speed’ held at TCL Chinese Theatre on Wednesday (March 6) in Hollywood, California.

I love how she was totally swept up in the femininity of her light-blue Nina Ricci Spring 2014 chiffon-and-lace gown with a rise-and-fall hemline.

Emphasized with the plunging v-neckline and a sheer lace criss-cross overlay at the bodice, the overall mood is sensual and ethereal.

Keeping her look modern, she styled her gorgeous gown with white Givenchy platform sandals, a dark manicure, kohl-rimmed eyes and a braided updo.

A BDOTW-worthy look if ever I saw one. Do you agree?

J’adore.
