Who Wore Stella McCartney Better

Imogen Poots was the first to don this sweet Stella McCartney LBD with a plunging neckline when she stepped onto the red carpet back in January for the ‘That Awkward Moment’ LA premiere.

Sporting her signature purposely curly updo, with piercing cat-eyes and Christian Louboutin patterned pumps, this was yet another playful look from the young actress.

Three months later Cameron Diaz wore the same dress to the LA premiere for ‘The Another Woman’.

Wearing black and Stella McCartney are no surprises when it comes to Cameron, but I was surprised by her choice of footwear, with the cuff stumpifying her enviable long legs, so Imogen wins for me.

Imogen Poots In Proenza Schouler - 2014 Met Gala

Imogen Poots attended the 2014 Met Gala on Monday (May 5) in New York City alongside designers Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough of Proenza Schouler.

The actress wore a black flock-printed embroidered dress from their Fall 2014 collection, which was styled with black lizard criss-cross Proenza Schouler sandals and Jennifer Meyer jewels.

I wanted to love this but, between the droopy bodice and heavy shoes, this was a no for me. This had the potential to be a great look.

Imogen Poots In Nina Ricci - 'Need For Speed' LA Premiere

Imogen Poots looked heavenly gracing the red carpet for the LA premiere of ‘Need For Speed’ held at TCL Chinese Theatre on Wednesday (March 6) in Hollywood, California.

I love how she was totally swept up in the femininity of her light-blue Nina Ricci Spring 2014 chiffon-and-lace gown with a rise-and-fall hemline.

Emphasized with the plunging v-neckline and a sheer lace criss-cross overlay at the bodice, the overall mood is sensual and ethereal.

Keeping her look modern, she styled her gorgeous gown with white Givenchy platform sandals, a dark manicure, kohl-rimmed eyes and a braided updo.

A BDOTW-worthy look if ever I saw one. Do you agree?

J’adore.

Imogen Poots In Givenchy - 2014 BAFTAs

Imogen Poots and Jack Huston were presenters at the 2014 BAFTAs, on Sunday (February 16) held at The Royal Opera House in London, England.

While he looked very dapper in his classic tux, Imogen opted for a bold berry hue wearing a Givenchy Spring 2014 halter gown.

Free from the dazzling sequins we saw on the runway, her cut-out gown was styled with simple black peep-toe pumps and a black manicure.

Imogen’s signature purposely messy curly ponytail was not apparent, instead she worked sleeked out tresses styled into a chic updo.

Do you like this more polished look from Imogen?

Imogen Poots In Proenza Schouler - 'A Long Way Down' Zurich Premiere

Imogen Poots attended the Zurich premiere of ‘A Long Way Down’ held at Kino Corso on Tuesday (February 11) in Zurich, Switzerland.

Opting for more coverage than her last outing, the actress, who’s still sporting that same wavy high ponytail, wore a Proenza Schouler Spring 2014 gold silk knit top and skirt with pleating throughout.

I much prefer Imogen’s softer, more feminine version of the look, featuring a long-sleeve top over what we saw presented on the runway.

It feels like Imogen is a star-on-the-rise. I’m always excited to see what she wears next.

Proenza Schouler black leather sandals, also from the Spring 2014 collection, completed her look.

Imogen Poots In Marc Jacobs - 'A Long Way Down' Berlin Film Festival

Imogen Poots was promoting her latest movie, ‘A Long Way Down’ during the 64th Berlinale International Film Festival on Monday (February 10).

For both the photocall and the premiere she wore dresses by Marc Jacobs.

Photo call: Posing alongside co-star Aaron Paul (in Billy Reid), Imogen was pretty and demure for the photocall, dressed in a knee-length dark-green frock with black chiffon ruffles on the shoulders and neckline. The look was styled with Brian Atwood black platform sandals and a signature wavy high ponytail.

Premiere: The ponytail was still firmly in place for the premiere. However, with this sheer embroidered v-neck Marc Jacobs dress revealing her underwear, I’m sure no one was really paying attention to the hair. This look might cause outrage, but I find myself really liking it. It’s not overtly sexy, she carries it with confidence and the top half is thankfully covered. I have a feeling I may be standing alone.
