Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Menswear thursday

Let’s hear it for the boys once again.

Tinie Tempah: The British rapper, who turned 25 today, joined a host of lovely ladies and Idris Elba on the red carpet for the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year awards on Tuesday. He was, of course, wearing his favourite brand Dolce & Gabbana, wearing a three-piece suit including a velvet blazer and vest which had a festive cheer to it. The look packed in plenty of his signatures: bow tie, black-frame glasses, cropped trousers and loafers.

Zachary Quinto: For the Guggenheim International Gala, the ‘Star Trek’ actor donned a Dior Homme grey wool micro-check two-button small-notch-lapel blazer styled with a white cotton button-down shirt, washed ‘Second Round’ Dior Homme denim jeans, and black leather derbies. The blazer confuses me here.

Will Forte: The handsome actor took to the red carpet in New York City last night wearing a grey Simon Spurr suit with a teal-blue tie for the ‘Nebraska’ screening at the Paris Theater.

Dan Stevens: The British actor also attended the Guggenheim International Gala, sporting a dressed-down look. The difference is his look has considerably more finesse than Zachary’s.

Idris Elba In Gucci - Harper’s Bazaar Woman Of The Year Awards 2013

Idris Elba deservedly took home the Man of the Year award at the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards held at Claridge’s Hotel in London yesterday evening.

The ruggedly handsome British actor wore a pale-blue Gucci Fall 2013 felt equestrian coat with a velvet collar, while opting for a cool black wool long-sleeved polo shirt, twill riding pant and black leather loafer with gold horsebit detail sans socks.

Looking bad, in a very good way, the actor comes a close second in the best dressed at this event after Cate Blanchett.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Anja Rubik In Elie Saab Couture, Padma Lakshmi In Naeem Khan, Michael B. Jordan In Calvin Klein & Idris Elba In Burberry Prorsum

Best Dressed Of The Week - Anja Rubik In Elie Saab Couture, Padma Lakshmi In Naeem Khan

Anja Rubik won best dressed of the week by a very large margin in her Elie Saab Couture gown. You guys were truly enamoured by how graceful she looked in her sheer cape gown which she styled with a silver Corto Moltedo clutch.

There were so many I could’ve picked this week, but in the end I went with Padma Lakshmi in Naeem Khan. As a lover of colour, I was totally captivated by her strapless, striped gown.

Best Dressed Of The Week Michael B

The battle between Michael B. Jordan and Robert Pattinson raged on all weekend. His cool-blue Calvin Klein Collection suit styled with a grey tie was just 1% more stylish than Rob’s on this occasion.

I went with Idris Elba in Burberry Prorsum. I loved his winter coat and the overall laidback vibe of his rugged, semi-dressy look.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Menswear 24 oct

This week, the red carpets have been trod by a haute flurry of fashionable females. But a handsomely clad group of guys has also been on the scene.

Chris Hemsworth: The actor-stud showed up to the ‘Thor: The Dark World’ world premiere at Odeon Leicester Square in London on Tuesday. He paired his steely, baby blues with a richly hued, dark eggplant Dolce & Gabbana three-piece suit that certainly caught my eye.

Jared Leto: Taking a slightly more conservative turn, the entertainer was polished in an all-black Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane ensemble at the 17th annual Hollywood Film Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in California on Monday. His unbuttoned, tie-less shirt and the flash of his silk, sky-blue pocket square added the touch of attitude we’ve come to expect from Jared.

Idris Elba: Joining Chris at ‘Thor: The Dark World’ world premiere, Idris rocked the Burberry threads with one of the brand’s slim-fit cashmere coats taking top billing. Statement loafers finished out his casual-cool look.

Toronto Film Festival Menswear Roundup Part 2

Toronto Film Festival Menswear Roundup

Throughout the Toronto International Film Festival in Canada, the men have brought their own sartorial statements—from guy-glam and cool-stud to handsome-hunk.

Daniel Radcliffe: The British actor was brave and bold in a deep purple David Hart suit at the ‘Kill Your Darlings’ premiere, held at Roy Thomson Hall. Boasting polish and pizzazz, with a contrasting striped white-and-blue-grey button-down and a dark mini-polka-dot tie, this look was plum-perfect.

Jake Gyllenhaal: The handsome actor wore a velvety Burberry Tailoring three-piece suit at the ‘Prisoners’ premiere at Ryerson Theatre. Offsetting the dark shade, a baby-blue shirt and navy tie brought out Jake’s own baby blues, whilst faded brown shoes contributed a rugged edge.

Ewan McGregor: Sauntering around with his suave flair, Ewan took a more casual approach in his Neil Barrett black blazer and pants at the ‘August: Osage County’ premiere at Roy Thomson Hall. He skipped the tie and put on a pair of lace-up shoes that had a distinct creeper mentality.
