Who Wore Peter Pilotto Better…Hilary Swank, Sarah-Jane Crawford or Jenny McCarthy?

Who Wore Peter Pilotto Better Hilary Swank, Sarah-Jane Crawford or Jenny McCarthy

This Peter Pilotto ‘Aro’ dress has become so popular it has had three red carpet sightings within a month.

Hilary Swank styled her blue colour-block dress featuring vivid gemstones with simple Casadei pumps and a silver clutch while attending the 37th Annual Mill Valley Film Festival early in the month.

Last week, Sarah-Jane Crawford attended the MOBO Awards on Wednesday night, styling her frock with simple black Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals.
On the same night, albeit a few hours later due to the time difference, Jenny McCarthy wore the same dress on ‘Watch What Happens Live’, styling her look with sea-blue nails and maroon sandals.

While all look great in this dress, I wasn’t a fan of Hilary’s pumps or Sarah-Jane’s makeup, and I’m astounded as to why Jenny opted for those maroon velvet heels.

In the end I went with Hilary. I really wanted to give this to Sarah-Jane’s but couldn’t get passed the makeup.

Hilary Swank In Delpozo – ‘The Homesman’ Hamptons International Film Festival Premiere

Hilary Swank In Delpozo - 'The Homesman' Hamptons International Film Festival Premiere

Hilary Swank attended the ‘The Homesman’ premiere held at the Guild Hall on Sunday (October 12) in East Hampton, New York following the Variety Brunch earlier in the day.

We all know that Hilary has a body to die for; well, this strapless Delpozo Spring 2015 dress featuring a sweetheart neckline with a curved cut-out under the bust and a full skirt with white and green pattern detail proved just that.

Styled with white Casadei pumps, gold cluster earrings and a gold clutch, she once again leaves me in awe.

Exuding retro chic, I’m glad she ditched the white shirt as the full runway look would’ve worked better for someone like Chloe Sevigny.

Do you think she should’ve worn the shirt?

Hilary Swank In Altuzarra – 2014 Hamptons International Film Festival

Hilary Swank In Altuzarra - 2014 Hamptons International Film Festival

Hilary Swank attended Variety’s 10 Actors to Watch brunch during the Hamptons International Film Festival on Sunday (October 12) in East Hampton, New York.

The actress wore white again, this time selecting a Resort 2015 dress by Joseph Altuzarra, who has a notorious talent for creating beautiful fitted, feminine silhouettes.

As always, there is a twist; here the dress features a lace-up detail and fringed peplum adding some allure to this gorgeous sophisticated, ladylike piece.

Nude pumps and barely there makeup completed her brunch-appropriate look.

Hilary Swank In Nicholas Oakwell Couture – ‘You’re Not You’ LA Premiere

Hilary Swank In Nicholas Oakwell Couture - 'You're Not You' LA Premiere

Hilary Swank attended the premiere of ‘You’re Not You’ held at the Vanguard Theatre on Wednesday (October 8) in Los Angeles, California following the Hollywood Costume luncheon.

Going from one extreme to another, this time she served up a look which I can only term classic Hilary.

Oozing with class and feminine sophistication, I love the floral appliqués adorning her strapless white Nicholas Oakwell Spring 2014 Couture dress, which is tailored precisely to nip her in at the waist.

Both the silver-metallic Gianvito Rossi ‘Ellipsis’ pumps and a matching clutch help fend off the hear-comes-the-bride vibe about this look, with tumbling waves rounding out her inch-perfect look.

Hilary Swank In Saint Laurent – The Academy Hosts Hollywood Costume Private Luncheon

Hilary Swank In Saint Laurent - The Academy Hosts Hollywood Costume Private Luncheon

Hilary Swank attended a private luncheon and viewing of the current Hollywood Costume exhibition hosted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences held at Wilshire May Company Building on Wednesday (October 8) in Los Angeles, California.

Usually working an ultra-feminine look, she opted to usher in a dapper style with plenty of androgynous appeal wearing a Saint Laurent suit with a dotted necktie blouse.

Padded with structured shoulders, she totally pulls off this clean-cut sartorial choice with ease.

Styled with a retro updo and Saint Laurent accessories including a white clutch, this is one of the best mannish looks I’ve seen in a while – with the exclusion of Nieves Alvarez, of course.
