Borders “Elixir” Book Presentation – Hilary Duff In Alexander McQueen, Alexander Wang & Current Elliott

It seems like everyone is promoting a book at the moment.

The latest celeb is Hilary Duff.

She was at Borders in NYC recently promoting her first novel “Elixir”, which tells the story of a globe-trotting photojournalist named Clea Raymond, who is currently on a frantic book promotional tour.

Wearing the celebrity favourite YSL pumps in olive green, Hilary wore a black Alexander McQueen blazer paired with a white Alexander Wang tee and Current Elliott leather leggings.

I like this slightly edgier look.

I feel like I’ve seen Hilary in a million bandage or cutesy that this is a refreshing look for me.

Who Wore Roland Mouret Better? Jennifer Lopez or Hilary Duff

During her amazingly well-dressed promo tour for “The Back-Up Plan”, Jennifer Lopez wore this grey Roland Mouret Aphrodite dress to a photocall in Cologne, Germany.

The diva wore her dress with Emilio Pucci heels, silver and platinum bracelets and hooped earrings.

Hilary Duff wore the same dress last month to the 6th Annual BGC Charity Day in New York City.

She opted for on trend Brian Atwood nude pumps.

Jennifer wins for me as I prefer the shorter length, her heels and the fact that she looks like she put a comb through her hair.

2010 Teen Choice Awards – Hilary Duff In Hervé Léger by Max Azria

Worst Dressed Award
I don’t like to give stars I really like the title of ‘Worst Dressed’, but Hilary Duff earned it last night at the 2010 Teen Choice Awards.

For someone who’s BFFs with Max Azria I would’ve expected her to wear one of the runway Herve Leger dresses, but instead she wore one of the Herve Leger dresses we’ve seen a million times on people like Kim Kardashian and Heidi Montag.

The colour is cute, but the style redundant, tired and boring.

I also really disliked the bird-nest-esqe hairstyle, the make-up is pretty tragic and those chain necklaces would’ve worked better if she was going for a biker-babe look.

Christian Louboutin Big Lips pumps complete the look.

The 2010 Teen Choice Awards airs on FOX today at 8:00-10:00 PM (ET/PT).

Best Dressed Of The Week – Camilla Belle In YSL & Hilary Duff In Vera Wang

Like you, I couldn’t pick a clear winner between Camilla Belle in YSL and Hilary Duff in Vera Wang, so they are both crowned Best Dressed this week.

Both were wow moments.

Camilla continues to gives us nothing short of 100% when she hits the red carpet and she repeated that again wearing Jason Wu.

I think this is the first time we all sat up and noticed Hilary Duff on the red carpet.

We often see red carpet players like Camilla Belle and those who make up the numbers.

For once Hilary was up front and center.

Both are worthy winners.

Good Housekeeping 125th Anniversary Party – Hilary Duff In Vera Wang

Last night was a great night for fashion.

Those of you who complained that last week was fashion lite, got your wish granted for more great celeb looks this week.

Everyone (excluding one person) gave us something to marvel and Hilary Duff was no exception.

The former ‘Gossip Girl’ actress looked amazing as she walked the red carpet at the “Good Housekeeping 125th Anniversary Party” in New York.

I adore her Vera Wang Spring 2010 tulle dress.

It’s so elegant yet so whimsical.  Like a modern day tinkerbell.

I prefer her dress as she has less of the black tulle on the skirt and her asymmetrical bodice appears to be shorter than the runway dress.

The jewel accent on her shoulder is quite spectacular.

Some of you have expressed that you are bored of nude pumps on the red carpet, but I think her Brian Atwood pumps work perfectly with this look.

I can barely pick a Best Dressed out of today, so BDOTW is going to be impossible.

Runway To “The Business of Falling in Love” Set – Hilary Duff In Prada

Hilary Duff was spotted on the set of her new television pilot for the romantic comedy “The Business of Falling in Love”, filming in chilly Manhattan.

The actress filmed multiple scenes, including a stunt scene where she fell onto some pads while looking up at the buildings.

She was wearing a blue and red check Prada Spring 2008 dress accented with a brooch, which you can see from the pictures below was pinned tightly to her, as the dress was originally loose fitting.

Her dress was paired with Christian Louboutin Esoteri 120 ankle boots.

Black and white heels can is sometimes be considered as not appealing, this pair is a bit quirky as it makes me of a tuxedo.

Hilary’s dress should be very familiar to you because Anna Wintour wore this dress multiple times front row during Fall 2008 Fashion Week, plus Tracee Ellis Ross wore the same dress to the opening of the Chanel store on Robertson Boulevard back in May 2008.
