Henry Cavill – ‘Man of Steel’ Tokyo Premiere

Henry Cavill - 'Man of Steel' Tokyo Premiere

After a crazy summer, Superman returned to promote ‘Man of Steel’, with Henry Cavill taking to Roppongi Hills in Japan for the Tokyo premiere.

The actor’s blue eyes really popped, wearing a light-blue three-piece suit with a pink shirt and a micro-dot blue-and-pink tie.

Colour-wise this look couldn’t be more perfect. Style-wise he has come a long way from the early ill-fitted Tom Ford suits.

‘Man of Steel’ opens in Japan on August 30.

Henry Cavill In Ermenegildo Zegna – ‘Man Of Steel’ Sydney Premiere

Henry Cavill - ‘Man Of Steel’ Sydney Premiere

Henry Cavill attended the ‘Man Of Steel’ premiere in Sydney, Australia on Monday evening.

The British stud smouldered on the red carpet wearing a sharp three-piece Ermenegildo Zegna pinstriped navy suit.

While this is the best fit yet, and I love the splash of colour via the tie, I would love for him to ditch the waistcoat.

Once again, it feels like one layer too many.

Henry Cavill In Giorgio Armani – ‘Man of Steel’ Shanghai Film Festival Premiere & Photocall

Henry Cavill In Giorgio Armani - 'Man of Steel' Shanghai Film Festival Premiere & Photocall

Henry Cavill is currently in Shanghai promoting ‘Man of Steel’ during the 16th Shanghai Film Festival in China.

Premiere: Yesterday he suited up while attending the premiere held at Shanghai Xintiandi, wearing a dark-navy Giorgio Armani suit with a striped blue shirt and textured tie. I know many of you have expressed a desire to see the handsome British actor in lighter colours, like his look in Italy, but he appears to be sticking to a dark colour palette. I’m just glad he ditched the waistcoat on this occasion and that this suit appears to be the best fit so far.

Photocall: Earlier today Henry wore a more laidback look for the photocall, held at the Peninsula Hotel, opting for a black cashmere top and dark-grey pants. I’m surprising myself by saying this is one of his best looks so far on this tour – this coming from a girl who loves a guy in a three-piece suit. He looks so much more comfortable and relaxed here.

Henry Cavill In Ralph Lauren Purple Label – ‘Man of Steel’ Madrid Premiere

Henry Cavill In Ralph Lauren - Man of Steel Madrid Premiere

With Amy Adams spotted back stateside, it’s left to the guys to continue promoting ‘Man of Steel’.

Henry Cavill was joined by Russell Crowe – who stars as his dad in the movie – at the Capital Cinema in Madrid, Spain on Monday evening for the premiere of the movie they call ‘El Hombre de Acero’.

Once again, I find myself more attracted to Henry’s handsome good looks than his suit.

Opting for another three-piece look, his Ralph Lauren Purple Label charcoal suit was styled with a purple shirt and purple knit tie; I find myself once again bothered by the waistcoat.

And that is not my only issue: the pants and blazers are in different shades of grey, but that could be intentional or bad lighting.

Either way, I’m only liking this from the breastbone up. So far, I sadly haven’t been too enamoured with Henry’s run on this promo tour.

He still has time to pull it back with Shanghai, Sydney and South America yet to conquer.

‘Man of Steel’ Taormina Filmfest 2013 Premiere Menswear Round Up

‘Man of Steel’ Taormina Filmfest 2013 Premiere Menswear Round Up

It was a tale of two very different suits for the ‘Man of Steel’ male stars who attended the premiere on Saturday, which opened the Taormina Filmfest 2013 in Taormina, Italy.

Michael Shannon: Correctly judging the relaxed nature of this event and taking the heat into consideration, the actor wore a light-blue suit with a grey burnt-out tee. He completed his look with the same Cole Haan white soled shoes he wore to the New York premiere.

Henry Cavill: The British actor didn’t take a cue from his co-stars and as result some might say that he appears to have overdressed for the occasion wearing an Ermenegildo Zegna three-piece suit; others would argue that as the lead character his more formal approach was apt. Now you know I love a three-piece suit, but the pull on this top button of the waistcoat suggests that perhaps he should’ve not worn it on this occasion.

I much prefer Michael’s look. The look is more relaxed and the blue hue is enhancing his tan, whereas the grey is washing Henry out.
