Best Dressed Of The Week – Son Ye Jin in Valentino & Helen Mirren In Paule Ka

Your winner this week was Son Ye Jin in her Valentino gown.

On any other week I would’ve picked Son Ye Jin glorious gown which wore to the Pusan Film Festival, but I was totally in awe of Helen Mirren.

She totally grabbed my attention away from the other candidates.

The 65-year-old actress prove that age ain’t nothing but a number in her red Paule Ka wrap dress.

“RED” New York Screening – Helen Mirren In Paule Ka

If I was at this event I would be bowing at the feet of Helen Mirren screaming “We are not worthy”.

The British actress wears red again on the red carpet after wearing the bold colour to the “Tempest” Premiere during Venice Film Festival recently.

I’ve always loved Helen’s style, but this Paule Ka wrap dress is one of my favourite looks from her.

At the Cinema Society & OC Concept screening of ‘RED’ at The Museum of Modern Art in New York City this week, the wrap dress showed off the stunning figure of the 65 year old actress to perfection.

I love the added detail of a Fred Leighton brooch.

Helen wore Sergio Rossi heels and a Jimmy Choo ‘Tube’ clutch to her gorge dress.

Worthy BDOTW contender.

2010 Venice Film Festival “The Tempest” Premiere – Helen Mirren In Marchesa

If only all Hollywood stars would grow old gracefully like Helen Mirren.

The British actress look outstanding at “The Tempest” Premiere during the 2010 Venice Film Festival this weekend.

She wore a Marchesa draped one shoulder scarlet gown with a shawl draped over her shoulders.

Her gold accessories included kitten heels and a gold Marchesa clutch.

2010 Cannes Film Festival: Chopard Trophy Party – Helen Mirren In Elie Saab Couture

Helen Mirren arrived at the Chopard Trophy Party wearing her second Elie Saab gown in 2 days during Cannes Film Festival.

The great Dame was sparkling with Chopard jewels as she walked the red carpet wearing an Elie Saab Couture gown.

Her stunning grey silk georgette gown with an embellished belt and asymmetrical sleeves is from Elie Saab’s Vintage Couture Collection.

Perfection as usual. She continues to fly the flag for over fifty and fabulous.

I adore the colour on her.

If I could be picky I would say the necklace is slightly OTT, but I understand why she wore it on this occasion.

2010 Cannes Film Festival: “Robin Hood” Premiere – Helen Mirren In Elie Saab

When I grow up I wanna be just like Helen Mirren because she’s one of the most elegant women to grace the red carpet.

We all expected Dita von Teese or Olga Kurylenko to be one of the first to wear a look from Elie Saab’s Fall 2010 collection, but Helen beat them to it.

The grand Dame opted for a black jersey asymmetrical one-sleeved gown with embroidered strap.

I love everything about this look from the new bangs, to the draped shoulder, to the rouge lips and the clutch, but I really don’t like those diamond Chopard cuffs.

I understand that she may have wanted something to help dazzle the look, but she would’ve been a perfect 10 without them.

Rome Film Festival Weekend Catch Up

“Viola Di Mare” Premiere

Maria Grazia Cucinotta was by far my favourite on the red carpet this weekend.

The stunning actress looked divine wearing an Armani Privé spiral gown which was embroidered with Swarovski crystals.

This gown is very similar to the Privé gown Sharon Stone wore recently.

Isabella Ragonese wore a beautiful dress with an unmistakable Missoni floral print from the Fall 2008 collection.

The grey and blue print dress had ruffled shoulders and an embellished detail cascading down one  side.

We don’t often get so see Roberta Armani on the red carpet, but she doesn’t disappoint wearing a Giorgio Armani Fall 2009 two-tone black on gold bustier dress.

Her brunette locks were swept to one-side, as she paired her dress with Armani accessories.

“Viola Di Mare” Photocall

I loved Isabella Ragonese’s Missoni dress, but I wasn’t crazy about her Isabel Marant Fall 2009 look.

I much prefer the runway colour combination.

“Up In The Air” Premiere

I wasn’t a fan of Elisabetta Canalis last red carpet look, but she does a complete 180 by looking spectacular wearing an Armani Privé Fall 2009 midnight blue strapless velvet gown, with a lighter blue satin bodice.

She opted to wear her sash around her neck rather than tying it into a cute bow as the look was presented on the runway.

George Clooney was decked out in Giorgio Armani tuxedo.

“The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus”

Lily Cole opted for a very familiar Dolce & Gabbana black corset gown, which looks amazing on her.

Despite seeing this gown many times in various colours, I’m not bored seeing it on Lily.

Rose McGowan toned down the sex kitten for a demure look despite the bright fuchsia colour of her Dolce & Gabbana gown.

Normally her looks are shorter, tighter and more revealing.

“The Last Station” Premiere

Helen Mirren was perfection personified – as always – wowing the crowds wearing a sleeveless gown with a large bow and diamond brooch detail.

She was easily my second favourite from this weekends looks.
